I've been to Black Rock before but not this one. I am glad I remembered this place is open and near our home. My husband and I went on a little Christmas Eve coffee date. I got an eggnog latte. It was great. Their smalls come with 2 espresso shots, which to me, is top notch.!There were 3 people working. Cleaning and stuff. The store was not busy at all. It felt clean and comfortable. I loved the roll up garage door that was open and giving the indoor outdoor vibes. We will be coming back often. read more

The young women who took our order was not very polite. As the four young adults were in their phone , loudly having personal conversations - we waited for over 20 minutes with no communication. Ordered the iced Mexican Mocha & it was great. I could understand why it was on their Favorites list. It was creamy and not too sweet. I loved it. What was disappointing though was the ham & swiss croissant ... there was barely any ham/cheese in there. I thought they might have given me a regular croissant by accident because it took me two bites to finally taste the little bit of ham that was in there. For $4.99, you would think that there would be more than a little roll of ham in the center of the croissant. Will definitely go back for the coffee, but the croissant was so disappointing especially since I love getting them at other places read more

Every time I stop by there is hardly ever a line! My go to summer drink recently has been the iced blue lagoon fuel! It contains blue raspberry and kiwi flavor! Soooo bomb. have also tried the bagel with cream cheese and the ham and Swiss croissant. Both are delicious! The service is always great and the workers are always very friendly. I have yet to be inside but there is enough parking as it is inside a plaza. read more

Recently opened October 2023. First visit. Service was on point. Clean inside. Mocha tasted a little bitter. Not sure why. It seemed to be prepared a little different than other locations. I will have to come back another time to try again. Maybe Batista is new. It sounds like training going on. After I stirred my drink the bitterness subsided. I had been wanting to try this place for awhile and this location recently opened up near us. I really enjoyed their hot Americano with just a little bit of milk. However, the food was just okay. I thought my egg and ricotta breakfast sandwich was fine, but a little bland. The chocolate covered cronut was pretty good though. The sassy lady at the counter with the cowboy shirt got to many cowboys on her mind to be working, came here for the first time and wanted something pumpkin with extra espresso so I asked how we could do something like that and she said "girl your making this way harder than it needs to be" and then when I asked for the largest size I was given a large instead of an xl. I come here almost everyday before work or on my days off and occasionally walk here with my neighbor on weekends. This black rock coffee shop has made me no longer use my gold card membership at Starbucks that I've held since 2010, I've long awaited for a good coffee shop to rival Starbucks in it's great customer service and good coffee. To be honest I've visited other black rocks like the one off off Wadelle n the 303 fwy also the one on Northern n the 101 fwy and they lack that warm friendly clean homie vibe our Yuma Black Rock has, I love that this location for the most part has the same staff since they opened so less turn around and you can genuinely feel that they love there jobs. I attribute the whole vibe to great management, these kids here are so busy and still maintain a clean store with great customer service. The energy is so contagious I actually take it in to work my self, oh and by the way every time I ask them for used coffee grinds for my garden they are more than happy to always give me some. I proudly recomend our neighborhood store and I also know its good because I always see our local police officers along with our local paramedics grabbing coffee here, only down side is lack of good pastries but definitely not a deal breaker read more
