Laura is truly one of a kind. We visited the Starbucks on Val Vista and the Loop 202 on the very first day it opened, and Laura was there. From that very first visit, she made us feel like we were more than just customers we felt like friends. Every single time we come in, she greets us by name, asks about our daughter, and even remembers conversations we've had from previous visits. That level of genuine care is incredibly rare and means so much to our family. She has created such a welcoming environment that it truly feels like home. We actually moved about 20 minutes away, but we still drive to this Starbucks because of Laura. We pass three other Starbucks locations just to come here because of the experience she provides. I honestly think this might be in the top 10 Starbucks i've been to in Arizona so far. I love that it is two stories, and the aesthetic is very beautiful. I have studied here various times and enjoy the service a lot. I do wish the music volume wasn't so loud, but it's overall a really great Starbucks! First time visiting this location since it's across from Sonoran quest where I got my blood work done. My vanilla oat milk latte was well made and hit the spot after fasting. This location is nice and a bit fancy, and staff were on it and got any request correct. I also liked being able to see my drink on the screen. I visited this location for the first time and tried the Tropical Butterfly Lemonade Refresher with Mango Pineapple Boba, no caffeine, which was decent. When I arrived, it was a little busy and crowded close to the register. It took about 10 minutes to receive my drinks. The barista handing out drinks spoke very low, so I couldn't hear when my name was called. People were standing right in front of the drink drop-off area, and the barista handed my drink to someone else. When the person realized it wasn't their drink, they sat it down. I asked them to remake it because it isn't sanitary for someone to touch another person's drink. They remade it, and I waited another 5-10 minutes. The barista should call out people's names louder and make sure to set the drinks down instead of handing them out. I sat upstairs, which was also crowded with people working at the tables. Overall, my experience was okay, but could have been better. read more

Love this Starbucks! This was my first time coming here and it was a great place to have a drink while working remotely! I came here on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm-3pm and sat outside on the second floor. This is a two-story Starbucks that has some outdoor seating in the first floor and lots of indoor/outdoor seating on the second floor. It was busier than I expected it to be as in about 80% of the tables were occupied, but the weather was so nice it's definitely worth it to sit outside. There were students and older professionals working on their laptops. It was pretty quiet. I ordered a honey citrus mint tea and it came in their to-go cup. It was perfect temperature. The staff was friendly. I thought the parking lot was a little small considering that it is shared with a couple other nearby businesses, but I didn't have any trouble finding a parking space. Always a nice Starbucks to visit. The drive thru is my normal route but today I stopped in. If you're meeting a few people, seating is plentiful. Parking is tough and awkward. The spots near the door are for 5min order pick up so you have to park in the lot which is fine, it's just designed strange in my opinion. I visited on a Sunday morning & although busy, I was in and out rather quickly. 5 mins. The service wasn't memorable but I know when I go through drive thru they're always very pleasant. Would be nice to hear a low volume music playing in the background. If it was, I didn't even notice. Drink was typical & tasty. The 5 stars is ambiance + delivered expectations. This is an excellent Starbucks location! I've been a few times now, and the baristas are always friendly and helpful. The two story concept is neat, with a few seats available downstairs, and a majority available upstairs (indoors and outdoors for the cooler fall/ winter/ spring months). i'm a starbucks fanatic and this is the worst starbucks i've been to. I decided to give it a second try today and again the espresso was BURNT. it tasted disgusting. I was so excited to hear that they built a two-story Starbucks in Arizona! I finally got to check it out today and it is definitely impressive. My drink was ready super quick, and there was a TON of seating upstairs. They were definitely busy and most of the tables were taken with people on their laptops or chatting with others. The location itself is beautiful and they have gorgeous murals painted on some of the walls, which are great to look at. Let's get some more of these built around the valley so that more people have access to comfortable and beautiful work from home, but not home locations! read more

Came to checkout this new location. Beautiful building, love the 2 story and expansive outdoor seating options. Once it warms up outside it will be a lovely spot to sit out and enjoy coffee and some fresh air. However I'm less than thrilled with the latte I ordered as it was only 3/4 of the way filled. For the price of such a drink I'd at least expect it to be a full cup. If I wasn't in a hurry I would have asked for a new drink to be made for me. In the future I'd hope that customers could at least be given what they order and pay for. read more

I was anticipating the opening because the location is perfect for those of us who work at the hospital. There is some cool artwork as you enter the window to pick up your drinks. The food/drinks were out quick and the staff were so friendly! The only reason this location gets a 4-star is because the entrance to the drive through was very confusing causing me to drive around the lot an extra time to find it. Surprisingly quiet on an early evening and seriously so so so much seating. They have a private conference room and two levels of indoor and outdoor seating. Meh. The baristas are great. Quick, friendly, and accurate. The location is beautiful. Unfortunately, the clientele are very privileged and seem to think they pay rent here. When it's 100+ outside, you can count on zero inside tables being available. The problem is the outside only has these weak fans that do nothing to move the air. Not all of the outside outlets work either, which is surprising for such a relatively new space. Misters outside would be a logical and welcomed addition to the outside space. Inside, there is an upholstered bank of seating with small tables and chairs on the opposite side of each table. The outlets are spaced between the seats and the outlets are so close together, it can be impossible for 2 people to share an outlet. The rude and loud people conducting loud business on their phones in here won't give you a second of attention to ask if you can share the outlet (translation: put their plug on their side instead of yours) so you can also use it. Starbucks can't stop their customers from being rude like this, I realize. But if there were outlets at each table, it would alleviate the issue. This place is great for meeting with a friend for coffee and/or grabbing something to go. But if you'd like to get any work done or read a book while you enjoy your coffee, you'll have much better luck at another location. read more

I don't usually go to Starbucks but was told this was is wonderful... so I went and I agree! The coffee was good and was served in glassware because I was having it there. That was a nice touch because I haven't had that anywhere at all coffee spot. The white mocha was good and the temp was just right to drink it right away. I sat on the 2nd floor outdoor balcony and it was nice and breezy with plenty of people out there. I wonder how it will be in the summer time, as I didn't notice any misters or fans. It would have been nice if there was an elevator for those who require it. Plenty of seating and even a meeting room that can be reserved. The decor/design was also nicer than other Starbucks I've been to. read more

I've been a loyal Starbucks customer for years, and I've never encountered a location as inflexible as this one. This is the only Starbucks I've been to that refuses to make even the smallest modifications to a drink like adding extra ice. When I asked, I was told they were just following the app, but that explanation doesn't make much sense. If I'm placing an order, I should be able to get it the way I like it. What's even more frustrating is that it seems to be just one employee who is especially strict about this, making the whole experience unnecessarily difficult. Because of this, I now choose to go to another Starbucks just around the corner, where the staff are more accommodating and understand the importance of customer service. Who designed this crappy new Starbucks?! Terrible floor plan with giant open spaces leaving almost no space for indoor tables. The location is PACKED at all hours and the only options are to sit outside in 115 degrees during the summer, or in the wind tunnel and rain during the winter. Took an otherwise great location with potential and turned it into a useless venue with nothing but a giant staircase and no tables inside. Total waste. read more

Location was empty, in the middle of the day. I sat reading for a bit while I decided what I was in the mood to order. The manager came up and asked me to leave if I wasn't going to order anything. Although I had originally intended to order a drink, his attitude changed my mind, so I left. I have since read that this is Starbuck's new policy. So much for being the "third place" that they used to talk so much about. I am done with this company and their pretentiousness. McDonald's coffee is cheaper, less burnt tasting, and they don't mind if I sit for a while before ordering. read more
