We take our coffee seriously, so whenever we see a Human Bean, we pull up to the drive through only coffee spot. We ordered a vanilla cappuccino, a caramel mocha with soy milk, and a Smashed Melon energy drink. I always appreciate having a non-dairy option available, and the soy worked great in the mocha. Both coffee drinks were smooth, rich, and well-made without being overly sweet. The Smashed Melon energy drink was light, refreshing, and a fun choice for a hot Arizona day. All 3 were served with chocolate covered espresso beans, Yay Service was friendly, and our drinks were prepared quickly. Sometimes all you need is a good drink and a pleasant interaction, and The Human Bean delivered both. We'll definitely be back to work our way through more of the menu. read more

The Power location needs to re-train their staff. It's always a hit or miss here. I order granita. half of the time I order it, its straight liquid. hardly blended, other times, its made perfect. Whenever I question it, I always get an excuse of "well certain syrups make it like that" or other excuses. That's not the truth and I wish they'd admit they messed up. for an example, I love the Snowy Yeti granita. sometimes, its made perfect, others, its pure liquid. Another example, got a Caramel Mocha, made perfect. Was delicious!. The next time I got it, there was so much chocolate syrup, it tasted like I was drinking chocolate milk. I didn't taste any caramel or other flavors. There's no reason for said excuses when they aren't the truth. Admit you made a mistake and remake it. I'm not trying to be a Karen, but when you pay for something, you expect to get said product. Do better and re-train your employees on the correct amounts needed for drinks and the proper way of making them. Overall, the staff themselves are extremely nice, mistakes aside. When my bf and I were visiting the area, we were so excited to come across The Human Bean! There is one in Reno, NV, where we're from, so a 'familiar face' was so great to see. This location has a double driveway but we opted to get out and walk up to the window to order. We were greeted by some really friendly staff! I ordered a white mocha with almond milk and my bf got his usual whole milk latte with some simple syrup. Both of our drinks were perfect! And we always love getting the chocolate-covered espresso bean on the lid! (I love that the cold drink lids do not need to come with straws.) A "gem" in the valley for coffees and getting that morning "pick me up". A small but eye catching building with a great menu, wonderful coffee and great service! I've been coming here constantly for two weeks now & I get the same thing. Caramel cold brew, lite cream, caramel cold foam on top, not hard right? It is NEVER made consistently. Today I received a cup of milk, no coffee with an inch of caramel sauce on the bottom. Last week I received a cup of milk basically no caramel or coffee. In the last two weeks my drink has NEVER been made consistently. I've had to drive back 4 times in two weeks to get the drinks made correctly or even somewhat tolerable. If I wanted milk in a cup with caramel I would have stayed home. Some baristas are friendly, some are not and you never know what you will get. Some have a lot of knowledge in getting the drink correct and some do not care. When you go to the window you are NEVER greeted, no good morning, how are you ... NOTHING. I skimmed through the other reviews and I'm shocked!! This is my personal go to spot. It's on the way to work and have yet to not impressed! I usually get the rockstar but if I'm in the mood for coffee I get the granita if I get chocolate I add a hint of Carmel or if I want more Carmel I switch it and get chocolate drizzle! I went to the human bean on Sunday (first timer) and I wasn't having the best day. I got a barista named Kelsey who was the biggest ray of sunshine! She literally had the most inviting spirit starting from the biggest smile on her face as I was pulling up. She recommended a drink for me "down mood" and it was the best. Stopped by twice during my trip to Mesa and the first thing I want to point out is the friendliness of the staff! During both visits, I (along with my dog LOL) felt welcomed by the staff and they were very kind and patient while I was learning and asking questions regarding the menu (I'm super picky ). I tried the Irish Cream & Salted Caramel. IC was not as sweet as I would have liked, but the SC was extremely sweet! The most unique part is the espresso bean on top, which is a unique touch. This was my first time shopping at this franchise. Was in the area and was looking for a cold drink therefore I figured why not. Pulled up, the girl(Iza) who was attending the window was courteous and smiling. Asked her to surprise me with a cold drink and boy oh boy she did. I got a cold brew with cold cream that was a mixture of Mexican mocha and coconut chocolate milk. I usually have to be careful with coffee as I have a sensitive digestive system but half way down and no issues. When I left a tip, all four of the ladies on the shift came to the window(Hailee, Lucy and McKenzie) and thanked me... as it seemed that not many patrons actually tip. Got the order (driver was excellent) and it was not edible. It was literally not something I can describe, just that bad. It wasn't sweet, tasted no distinct flavor, and odd tasting. Had to be tossed. Maybe the store needs to update what they have listed on grubhub. We've never had a Snowy Mocha and it asked us the flavors we wanted. I have grubhub membership and will now go with someone else, as this is the only coffee place on it. I absolutely love this place & come here all the time because its delicious! Sadly, my last experience was very different & upsetting. On 11/8 I went in for a black tea with lavender which I always get & it was filled to the top with ice. It had barely any tea in it & really disappointing & unsatisfying not to mention the blonde girl taking our card was a bit rude.
