So knowing that this is over by a thrift store, I love going there just before going in and looking at clothes. I like coffee and like anyone who has allergies if you ask them if there's a certain ingredients in like their white chocolate, which I was so excited to find out it does not have coconut oil. Yay for those ladies who love their drink drinks, but are allergic. I've actually met lots of people who have that issue. The service is great if you don't know exactly what you want they ask you what you're in the mood for and they break it down and they give you a couple of suggestions. I think the only thing that I have an issue with is due to the fact that it's on Bell you can smell the sewer when the window is open. And I don't think I would go there if I was pregnant because I'd possibly puke before I get through it but I know it's not their fault because of where they're located. read more

Since recently this place has been great. Today 1/31 at 2PM I went to this location and ended up waiting in line for 20 minutes. While I was in line multiple people walked up and ordered their items from the window and got their items before I even ordered. The speaker box was not taking orders and they were only taking orders from the window which didn't help. Got up to the window and there were bees everywhere. Trash all over the ground. I ordered two breakfast burritos and two frozen fuels and it cost 28 bucks, which is ridiculous. Lady working the front wasn't even polite and seemed grumpy. One of the cups had a crack in the bottom and it got all over my truck. Burritos no longer come with sauce or they just forgot it. Over all, terrible experience. Never coming here again read more

The mango smoothie has a nice flavor. It tastes real and not artificial. I think I so far like the smoothies the best. I like the mango, strawberry and green apple smoothie flavors. The service was quick. The line was long. I have tried many Black Rock drinks. It's likely that I would get the mango smoothie or the strawberry smoothie or the green apple smoothie again. I might get the iced matcha with strawberry cold foam again. I would get the pumpkin chai flavor again. I would like to try the pumpkin chai against their basic chai at the same time to compare. I also had their chai with vanilla and lavender cold foam in the past, but having had it not the same day, it's hard to really compare. The Oreo Chiller is a blended mocha with oreos. I couldn't taste the Oreo as the coffee flavor was strong. Good for those who like a strong coffee flavor. read more

I was there today, January 31 and I wish I could piggyback off of Michael M's review from today. I didn't wait very long at all, but I agree the girl at the window when you drive up was definitely not friendly. The bees were ridiculous and I couldn't even keep my window down very long for fear of them coming in. I asked her how can you stand the bees and she said if you're not mean to them, they won't hurt you, very nonchalantly and not friendly at all. When I got my order, I had to roll the window all the way down and there were like three bees right there and I was afraid they were going to come in my car so I ended up spilling part of my drink on my window, which she didn't even offer to give me some napkins. We were running around running errands and decided to stop by this place on a weekend. My husband got the JACKHAMMER blended and I got an iced chai. First the portions are enormous, Second they are price is really affordable. Three way better than Starbucks. Sorry not sorry it's over hyped. I think when we first tasted black rock there was only a few locations now there are more now but this one bell, mesa and lake pleasant have had really good experiences! The staff is amazing! I'm usually a big fan of Black Rock and always enjoy the drinks, but unfortunately, my recent experience was disappointing. My friend and I kindly let the barista know that the speaker was very hard to hear, just to be helpful. Instead of acknowledging the feedback or even offering a polite response, she said "okay" in a dismissive tone. Then, when I was giving my phone number for the order, she said "I can't hear you" in a way that felt unnecessarily rude. The overall interaction felt cold and unwelcoming, which was surprising given the usually great vibe at Black Rock. To top it off, we weren't even offered a sticker, which is something I always look forward to. I still love Black Rock, but the service this time felt like a 0/5. read more

I e heard really excellent things about this location so I thought I'd give it a shot. EXCELLENT. FAST. I wasn't yelling to be overheard the music and the barista was so pleasant (I wish I had gotten her name). I ordered the Sugar Free Fuel, which is their energy drink, and had them add some Sugar Free Strawberry with it. In today's edition of 'Coffee Spots I've Never Been to...' I stopped by Black Rock this morning. They're conveniently located at 68th and Bell in Glendale. Super convenient location. You can either walk up to their window and order or they have a drive-thru. Menu has quite a few selections which was also nice to see. I went with an iced Mexican Mocha. Hints of vanilla, almond and cinnamon. Super flavorful, fresh and delicious. Perfect start to my Sunday morning. The service was fast, friendly, professional and efficient! Prices were on par with most any other coffee spot in the Valley, but it was nice to support a caffeine business that doesn't end in 'bux'. Highly recommended for my fellow friends and Yelp'ers! We weren't by our normal coffee place and had a need for some caffeine. There isn't a spot to sit inside and drive thru is the way to order. They also have walk up. The line was quick and the gal that took our order was so sweet. We went with a iced Carmel blondie. With tip it was around $8 which is normal these days. The drink was made with enough ice and perfect amount of sweet. It was so good and such a smooth brew. I'll definitely make a stop whenever we have a coffee need and are near a BR. read more

Incredibly rude and slow but at least coffee was average. With so many choices along Bell you would think they would try harder.

This location has two drive thrus and the other day I pulled into one of the two- there was no signage indicating me to pull into a specific one or not (like a lane closed sign). I sat waiting for about five minutes before pulling up to the window to talk to someone since I hadn't been helped. The employee opened the window and said "if you want your coffee you need to get into the other lane." I apologized and noted it was my first time at this location. She laughed and said "yaaaaaa, I can tell." It was just rude and outright a mean girl thing to do. I ended up just leaving. I was initially happy to turn around and get into the other line but her attitude wasn't needed or helpful. Additionally, if one lane is closed maybe put a sign up. I don't plan to return. I've taken my drink back before because it was basically light brown almond milk and very little coffee. Today, same thing happened. Mini me and I thought the night is young, why not try some Black Rock? It was our first visit there, and boy let me tell you about Lilly! She was so fun it wasn't even right. Totally made the entire trip worth the travel. Not that I was coming across the great land in a covered wagon or anything. (Also what is this great land I'm talking about? After a few she helped me figure out what I had a hankerin' for. I got signed up for the loyal customer thingy and paid the bill. The girls had me taste my drink to make sure I liked it in which I did and it was super what I hoped for. I drove off and kept on drinking. Driving, driving, driving, happy swig, happy swig, happy swig. And then it happened... happy swig turned into funky swig, then a confused faced swig, followed by a puckered face swig. And then no more swigs. Half way thru the drink, my iced shaken espresso tasted like some 4,000 year old ancient tea with an after taste that gave me the shivers eesh! Not sure what happened during the making of my coffee, but there had to of been a misstep in the process. That was kind of a bummer, however tonight I'm still giving 5 stars for the customer service and feel goods alone. The girls were great and the experience was something that will have me come back for another shot at greatness. Nights like these are random and fun. I do love my cold brew, especially when its 110 degrees! My cold brew had a splash of coconut milk. The strong and I mean strong coffee beans flavors were much appreciated! We absolutely love their coffee... When they make it right that is. Unfortunately, nearly every time we go here we struggle getting our drinks right on the first time. Maybe because it is decaf, I am not sure but I am not exaggerating when I say almost every time we have to either turn around or just suck it up a deal with it. I wasn't meaning to stop by here but I'm so glad I did. There was heavy construction on Bell Road and I was cutting through the shopping complex BR is located in to bypass the backed-up traffic and saw this out of the corner of my eye. I turned around and pulled into the drive-thru for some iced coffee. I ordered an iced Caramel Blondie and it was a perfect afternoon pick me up. This is my second go round trying this place and I'm once again let down. Coffee is okay I mostly loved it because they offered oat milk where a lot of places here don't but the customer service is horrible. Most of the staff is younger adults so I'm sure they have a lot to learn but to be made to feel bad about wanting to verify your order as the girl cut you off on the speaker just to have the girl at the window say "yeah I don't read it back to you because it takes too long" was the icing on the cake. As any working adult you should take your job seriously and these ladies clearly do not. Also every single one of them has their masks below their nose and even one below the chin. What a shame and poor examples being set. They have a lot of improvements to work on but as for this location I can't say I'll miss it. read more
