I came here recently since it's been a while. I used the drive thru and the guy working was completely rude. I thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, we're all human and have a bad day every once in a while. I pulled up to the window for the guy to not greet me, take my payment or even give me a heads up that it would take a while to complete my order. I seen him throw a fit through the window, throwing rags around, slamming things on the counter. I waited 12 mins, I decided to leave. I don't want to give my money to a business that acts like that. We were patient thinking they were busy, but then we can hear two girls come on the speaker gossiping like they didn't realize the mic was on. My family and I went to this location for the first time last week. we looked at our menu and we noticed that they offer a breakfast items for the full day. We ordered wraps and a smoothie bowl . The wraps were very good, but we noticed that the smoothie bowl was very small Porsche for a price of $13 and it was frozen at the bottom which we did not enjoy someone instead of keeping a bowl. We decided to let the associate know that we did not bowl and asked for a refund for. We definitely have a disclaimer, letting customers know that it is frozen and it takes a while to enjoy right away. Ordered an acai bowl and a mixed berry greek yogurt and waited 10 minutes just for the açaí to not be frozen at all and the greek yogurt tasted expired. it tasted like spoiled sour cream. The workers are rude and very annoyed by taking orders. The bathrooms have no heat and the women's bathroom has no lock. the customer service here is horrible i always come here because it's the closest location but every single time they disappoint. the girls that work here have a horrible attitude every single one of them. they take FOREVER to take ur order my mom went in one time to absolutely no one at the register slammed a couple things to get someone's attention and still no one came out in the span of 20 minutes! they've been out of acai base at 10am, how do you barely open the restaurant and your already out? they've been out of CUPS i have had to receive my drinks in children's cups before and the service can't even top all of these things off i've had to tell the lil kids that work there what i ordered for them to remember. The Hummus Veggie wrap had no hummus. I ordered it without cheese because I can't eat dairy and it had cheese in it. The rice and beans in it were not fresh, they tasted old and reheated. This place is not good, that was the worst wrap ever, I couldn't even finish it I threw it away. I also ordered a salad for my husband and it looks horrible, the lettuce is not really fresh or green, looks kind of brown. This place can be such a great place to eat. But every time we come here, they are out of some item that is supposed to be on the item ordered. The past 3 times coming here ordering the chipotle chicken club, they have been out of bacon. If it's an essential ingredient in the item, it should be available at all times. At least offer a small discount for not having all the ingredients at least customers may feel a bit better about purchasing from your place. By not having the proper ingredients available is how an establishment fails. I will not be coming back. So sad. read more

I have been going here for 10 years now. I'm a big fan of having this place locally in Surprise. I must say, however I cannot give you more than one star and there is no rating for less then. One star it is. I know that things are becoming more expensive but I am sick and tired of these companies like yours price gouging. I just went and got a smoothie which by the way I used to pay five dollars, I just paid $9.65 for a smoothie. A smoothie, not a meal not a cheeseburger for one drink. That's it you just lost my business and I would never recommend you to anybody. I hope the business does poorly and drives people away with the high prices to simply teach a lesson here. By the way, over the last couple years, the service has just been OK and nothing more. You should train your employees how to be more polite, lots of other people do it. Quiktrip seems to do it. Just another franchise with rude employees. Went through the drive thru, a girl was taking my order. The entire exchange went like this, "can I help you" Me, "one second please" *no response, didn't even ask if I needed help or suggestions* I ordered 2 drinks "Total at the window" I made a comment how rude she was before driving forward and then she never came to the window, the guy who he was making the smoothies is the one who helped me pay and handed our smoothies over. This is the worst location in the valley. Every time I go here my order specifications are ignored and the food is prepared sloppily. You're a nuisance to the employees the moment you walk in the door. It's frustrating when you pay extra to have certain things added into your smoothie and the requests are not met. I recently ordered a quesadilla with no onion which was ignored. Seems like they dropped the quesadilla into the bag, picked it up and put it back in the box and didn't bother to put it in a new bag. I got a smoothie combo which included a turkey bacon sandwich, an avocolada smoothie, and a banana. I believe there's only one size for the smoothies and the amount you get is great for the price. I'm not exaggerating when I say the Island Green smoothie has saved my life on multiple occasions. I experience anxiety that makes it hard for me to eat solid foods at times and when I am not able to get anything else down the Island Green is quite literally the only thing I can stomach. After visiting for the 1st time, it will be my only time. I ordered 2 smoothies with added vitamins and the cost was over $20. I ordered ahead so I understood the cost and wasn't really an issue until I seen how small the size was. Not much value for your buck. I digress, as I walked into an empty establishment there was a pick up area and my order was not yet ready. (No big deal) I waited at the counter and watched 3 young ladies in the back avoid eye contact. I was just working on a car and didn't look so clean mid afternoon but to avoid greeting someone at the counter in an empty spot? I waited for a couple of minutes and then was asked for my name and handed 2 cups. Good thing I wasn't there to order at the moment. Both drinks were the same color and different flavors. Another new business in Surprise!! Tropical Cafe offers smoothies, sandwiches, wraps, tacos, and salads. Great selection if you want options besides burgers, and pizza. Reminds me of Subway, except has a tropical influence. I had the Korean BBQ tacos, I really enjoyed this. The tacos are in a soft flour tortilla, filled with vegetables, lettuce, and your choice of steak or chicken. Wife had the chipotle chicken wrap, this comes with vegetables, lettuce, rice, and chicken. Had a couple of bites on this and it was very good. Smoothies are really good also, I had the strawberry and banana smoothie, while the wife had the pineapple, orange and banana. TIP!! Hers was a lot better!! I actually like this place. There are a decent amount of smoothie selections and the meals are pretty good. I usually come during the morning and get their southwest chicken wraps and a smoothie. This location is most likely out of egg for the wraps but expect you to pay regular price. The menu should be bigger because the smoothies they chose on the menu are least popular. Located in the AMC shopping center of Surprise sure Tropical Smoothie. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but I did notice it had a drive through which I like the option. Once inside it's pretty basic, but did have some nice wall decor, kinda beach feel, and plenty of seating. It was clean and quite a few families enjoying lunch. At first prices looked s but high for a drink, but once I saw the size of the drinks I feel prices are accurate. I decided on a Paradise Point which has strawberries, banana and pineapple. My daughter had a Beach Bum with bananas, Dark Chocolate and strawberries. It took a few minutes to get service, but once we were helped it was pleasant and they did apologize for the wait. They also had salads, sandwiches, quesadillas and wraps as well as other items for purchase as well. My drink was so good! Didn't taste too sweet and after a hike didn't make me feel awful. I tasted my daughters as well and it was just as delicious. I'll definitely take the time to check them out again when I'm in the area. read more
