I had a really unpleasant experience with the coffee shop baristas. From the moment I approached the counter, they were rude, judgmental, and kept looking me up and down in a way that felt very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. When I tried to use my birthday drink reward, I was told I couldn't use it, and the interaction felt dismissive and unfriendly. On top of that, I was made to feel like I was expected to leave a tip despite the poor service. Overall, the whole experience felt hostile and unprofessional. Very nicely decorated, friendly staff, and tasty coffee! My wife enjoyed their avocado toast - normally she prefers the avocado sliced instead of mashed, but the mixed ingredients they use here worked out well. This is a decent location, strategically placed adjacent to an existing Starbucks. This is located in a strip mall shopping area near Home Depot off Andresen. The baristas are always friendly, like most other Black Rock coffee drive-thrus. This drive through can be pretty slow at times which can be irritating. It can also get a little congested while exiting the drive-thru, trying to get back on Andresen. My favorite drinks are the Chillers! Love a Chocolate Chip Chiller (extra thick) in the summer. During winter months I prefer the Mexican Mocha or regular Mocha. They also have an app you can download to earn rewards for free drinks! read more

SO frustrating! Julia took order for skinny white mocha chiller for my wife, who was at home. When I got home, my wife said that the drink was not skinny and not a white mocha after taking a couple of sips. Upon return, I was told that I could not exchange the drink for the correct one because a couple of sips were taken from the incorrect drink. The cashier was not wearing her mask over her nose. When I questioned her about it she explained that the moisture from her breath would build up and make her mascara run. To know she was risking my health and the health of those in my home because her mascara might run is not a satisfying explanation. Since at that location once you get in line you're stuck at the window until the car in front can get out on the road I find this an assault akin to stealthing without a condom. I love black rock coffee, my daughter and I have made it a tradition of a mommy-daughter date on Wednesday mornings. I was so disappointed today to see our server wearing her mask incorrectly (below her nose) as we pulled up to pay at the window. I almost told them I couldn't accept the coffees and pulled away but that felt too rude. We did however throw our coffees away when we got home and washed our hands and wiped down the car. We will be moving our weekly coffee date somewhere else. Please take Covid seriously, if not out of fear for yourself and others then out of respect for those of us who are high risk. One evening I just wanted just a regular drip coffee and the machine wasn't working. The beautiful employee offered me fancy mocha for free!! I did not get her name but she is perhaps of Filipino descent, long black hair. Anyway she was so nice and her outside beauty matched inner self as well. I don't know if the management stresses the importance of customer service however I think this girl just naturally has a great skill set. They are extremely fortunate to have such a valuable employee. They should give her a raise. She would make a great manager someday read more

Went for my sons birthday coffee as we always do on our kids birthdays and when I got to the window she told me I had to pay for it. I could only get a child size for him. This is a pretty convenient location near Home Depot, Costco and just off Andresen. First, it isn't Starbucks which gets them bonus points out of the gate. The staff is always friendly, warm and welcoming. They seem like they are having a good time. They engage you as a customer in a really nice way. The product is fine. PS. One review spoke of inappropriately dressed teenage servers. I have been here many times this summers as I go to HD a lot as part of a remodel I am working on. If the reviewer feels like short denim shorts is inappropriate then I guess they are entitled to their opinion. However, there was nothing inappropriate in my opinion. This place use to be our go to for coffee but recently they had a full change over of staff and the coffee sucks. I would say it is 50/50 that your coffee is going to be good. Super friendly staff....amazing caramel apple chia latte, made with almond milk...found my new favorite fall drink. They share the parking lot with Starbucks and there really is no comparison...it is less expensive, ..and my drink was SO good!! So, I'm knocking a couple stars off my previous review because I have had 3 disappointing experiences in a row now. The last 3 times I have gone here, there have been a lot of new faces and they aren't as friendly as the people I was used to. Part of the reason I liked this place so much is because they were so friendly and the coffee was great, well they haven't been as friendly and my last 3 drinks were not good either. Not only have they been wrong and tasted terrible, but today my drink was only 3/4 full. I don't expect it to be full to the brim, but 3/4 full is ridiculously low. We used the drive up. We had to repeat our order several times, we get to the window to pay and the foul smell of a dirty reptile tank is all we could smell coming out from the inside of the store. Then the attempted to give us someone else's beverage. Asked if we paid, and asked what our order was again just to hand us the incorrect order again. We purchased hot beverages they kept attempting to provide us with blended beverages. We asked several times if it was sugar free and we did not receive a sugar free beverage. This place is good. Love the location near Home Depot and Costco. The baristas are friendly and quick to take your order and serve the coffee. On Wednesday is double punch card day. The line was short at the drive thru but it still took 15 minutes to order. They don't have an ordering kiosk so be prepared for a longer wait. Coffee was made quickly, but wasn't good. Got two iced Americanos. My husband finished his large size one in 3 sips...literally all ice. I got a packet of stevia in mine and it was undrinkable.
