Similar to Randy's donuts (in CA) but better! William was such a great employee. He took care of us and was super patient with all our questions. We love going to voodoo because of the vegan choices and great customer service from William C. Unfortunately the manager today was not as great as William C. She did not greet us. She did not smile. She was quite unpleasant actually. I felt uncomfortable being there and definitely not wanted. If it wasn't for William C I would have just left. There was a line behind us, but she was reluctant to help anyone. She was great at micromanaging, but not being a good manager and supporting her team. I found it quite disappointing and she should definitely be reevaluated as a manager. You should definitely think about William C being a manager because he knows how to treat customers. Besides the Donuts, he is a reason why we come back because he is so kind and considerate. Heard a lot about voodoo doughnuts and have been wanting to try them for awhile. This location is convenient, right next to the mall and has lots of parking. The doughnut choices are in a display case which makes it easy to see. Chose the maple cream, Memphis, mango, flavor of the month which is some type of berries and the voodoo. Fun but feeling apprehensive of what I don't know since it's the first time for me to come. The place is nice, open space and elegant with nice chandeliers. Lots of funny things they offer. The humor in these donuts are so funny at times. The server was so nice and very helpful. She had fun decorating our orders. The donuts are light and fluffy and large. If you take some of the decorations, the donut itself is not overly sweet. I think it's a balance and acquired taste. They have new seasonal flavor items and they are cute and delicious. The store is festively decorated for Christmas, the setup is easy cause you can order off the displays, they're nicely labeled, easy to see and figure out what you want to order. My favorite was either the Egg Nog or blueberry cake donut. I ate a whole one of each. read more

Don't listen to the haters. This place is fantastic! The staff greeted us with genuine smiles, kept the line moving quickly, and had us on our way to enjoy their fresh, delicious donuts. The Voodoo Donut (a voodoo-shaped plain donut with icing and a pretzel stick) was such a fun touch. The Maple Blunt was a standout coated in cinnamon sugar with the tip dipped in maple and sprinkles. The kids loved the Bubble Gum and the Old Dirty Bastard (Oreo cookie crumble with peanut butter yum!). We also tried the Churro Cheesecake, which was amazing. So happy we got to finally try this place that is well known here. I was super excited to try. This place was so fun to walk into- a lot of things caught my eye from the decorations to the display of doughnuts. The menu was little overwhelming as I didnt know what to order but I ended up getting the Voodoo doll- I had to. It was huge and I enjoyed the raspberry jam inside. Voo doo has became the underrated doughnut place because of how many people from Portland talk about it being overrated. They were the first place to really put weird combinations like bacon or cereal on doughnuts. No one (at least commercially or in a well known capacity) did it before them. They changed how people looked at doughnuts and created a market for higher end, creative, more expensive doughnuts in Portland. They are a pioneer in this regard and get overlooked due to them branching out to other cities and states, as well as how many other doughnut places have popped up to compete. This Vancouver store is great. Wait is never too long and the mobile ordering works great. Staff is one of the friendliest I have ever experienced at a Voo doo Doughnut. The decor is exactly what you would expect from them. The doughnuts themselves taste more fresh at this location I have found then the two Portland locations. As far as doughnut places go in Vancouver this is probably my second favorite spot. My favorites are the Memphis Mafia, the ODB and the go-tart. read more

Adventuring to the Voodoo Doughnut in Vancouver, Washington State (first location in the state, opened in 2022), on Thursday 19 October 2023, I made it while it was the only Voodoo Doughnut location in the state. Interested in trying something that sounded good, I looked over the full menu on their website and found one I was interested in - the Memphis Mafia. Arriving in the morning on Thursday, there were a few other people in the restaurant - a pink building fully in the voodoo theme. Standing in line, I looked at the donuts on the turning display carousels and noticed that some of them were a little smaller. I did not spot the Memphis Mafia so far as I could tell, however I had not seen the donut in person before. Stepping up and placing my order, yes, they did have the Memphis Mafia. So I ordered one, which with tax and pre-tip was $5.50. Initially I thought that was a lot, then I saw the size of the donut - it was about 2 to 3 times the size I thought it would be. Dining in the restaurant, I ate the Memphis Mafia in one go. It was a very decadent donut that I would describe as a cinnamon banana fritter (like an apple fritter, but with banana) topped with peanut butter/peanut and chocolate fixings. It was a dense fritter and the banana was not overly sweet. While it was larger than I thought it would be, I would truly call it a perfect donut, though a little different than the raised/ring/bar donuts I am used to. If you're able to drive past without being tempted to stop for a donut or two, you've got impressive willpower. This particular location is great - very clean, plenty of seating, two big rotating displays, and great customer service. I love Voodoo Doughnut ! The original gourmet doughnut shop (there's a lot of people trying to copy them now). I visited the original Voodoo in Portland probably fifteen years ago, and I've also been to the one in Denver. So we saw this one here and had to visit! It's fairly new (open a little over a year?) and as we entered we saw the rotating display case and took our time deciding what to get as the different donuts passed our eyes multiple times. We settled on the chuckles and it was fresh and delicious! The store was very clean, bright and pink on the inside with multiple glass chandeliers. Finally dropped in at the 'newer' Vancouver location. Love the big pink building...it can't be missed! It's beautiful at night too, with the pink neon lights. They have a decent sized parking lot available, and the inside of this location is super roomy compared to the other 2 locations I've been to in the Portland area. I was greeted as I walked up to the counter to order. There are rotating donut displays at both cash registers, making it easier to pick which donuts you want. I ended up ordering the voodoo doll ($4) since I have never tried this one before. It's a chocolate frosted donut with raspberry jam filling. It's rather large as well... about the size of two Bavarian cream donuts. The donut was super yummy until about halfway through. The bottom half had the delicious raspberry jam filling, but the top had none, making it a bit dry. It would be nice if the filling was distributed throughout the donut, not just half. Overall, it was still yummy and satisfied a craving. It was a great first-time experience at this location. Came on a Saturday after lunch, and it wasn't busy at all.
