Awesome beer, great food, great music. What more could you ask for? This is my go to bar on most weekends. Everyone is friendly, the food is amazing. My favorite is the French cheese bread appetizer with jalapeños and bacon with ranch. Yum. All the guys and gals behind the bar are great and usually they have a live show. When they say they put metal music in their beer, they aren't lying. The bands play right in the area the beer is made. Will be back! read more

Ordered some pizza that was very tasty and even though I don't like beer the beer was good and unique like a whiskey and rum beers. Industrial Rock -n- Roll brewery and cheap appetizers...yea, this place rocks. Pizza is good, the appetizers are very good, and cheap, and sharable, and quick, and hot...and...and...well, you get it. Don't go for atmosphere unless you enjoy a warehouse that stores sheet metal and fencing. This is just a place for good, honest beer and food. It's not a Pub, or a Bar and Grill...so don't go expecting that. If, instead, you want just good beer and a quick bite, this is the place. Black sky brewery is a very interesting place! It's a very large space, creatively decorated, with lots of seating, and just enough light pouring in thanks to the sky lights. Their lunch special is really great- $8 for 2 huge slices of pizza and a beer. The pizzas were really really good, as was the beer. No complaints at all about anything! The ladies behind the bar were so nice, and they werent snobby hipster, nor did they seem like they would take anyone's shit like the typical brewery hipsters. Its greatly located near movement. Found this gem of a brewery while out on a bike ride (bicycle ride that is). It looked a little intimidating from the outside, the black metal theme that is, but it was fine. Beer was great - vast assortment of different beers including IPAs, hibiscus ale, and "dessert" stouts and porters. We sat out on their patio which wasn't anything special, but the sun was shining and it was rather dark inside. If in the neighborhood again, I would go back. We did not eat there, so I cant comment on that part of the business. read more

The heavy metal music and "dark" decor are not for me, but the service was friendly and helpful and my wife and I both enjoyed the Petal to the Metal and the Black Lite. I like several of the beers at Black Sky including the "Petal to the Metal" rose petal and hibiscus. It's actually really good and not what you expect when you hear that description - so give it try. The staff are pretty mellow and will make some great suggestions for your palette if you ask. They do serve food including basic bar fare and pizza! They are a large enough facility to accommodate quite a crowd, so grab a group and swing by for some tasters. Fantastic beer selection no matter what your beer preference is. Every beer on tap aside from the cider is brewed in-house which is phenomenal considering their vast selection. I visited this place for the first time tonight. The music is, of course, awesome. I've never been able to sit down and eat out while listening to metal. I am a straight edge fella, so no beer for me. However, the names of the beers are hilarious. Also, most of the food has clever details. We had a pizza, and some jalapeno poppers. Both were excellent. I will definitely be back to try more items, hopefully take in a concert as well. read more

Are you into metal, good food and the best beer in Denver? Then Black Sky is the place for you. Their headbangers (calzones) are pretty amazing. They have live metal bands nearly every Friday night and their beer selection is vast and tasty. The staff are cool as shit. Even the owner, Harry, is very chill. The only exception is a little red head bartender (Rachel or Raquel?) - she is rude 90% of the times I've stopped in. Not just to me and other customers but to her co-workers as well. She needs to chill out and take some customer service lessons from the other bartenders. If it weren't for her, I would have given Black Sky 5 stars. read more

Ive seen this place a dozen times before I finaly stopped in after work on a friday.I can say this place is awesome! I was expecting heavy metal but instead was treated to some punk,that brought a smile to my face.Nothing like some misfits on a friday to get things going.I would give this place five stars or 4 and a half but there ipa deffinitly had an old hop medicinal taste to it,everything else killed it! The Krampus is way to easy drinking and the pedal with roses and hibiscus took me by surprise.Not a frilly beer drinker but it was spot on.My girlfriend got the cherry cider and we split a pie both pretty damn good. read more

Prompt service throughout our entire stay. Had the demonseed IPA and the cephalic skunk wheat. Both were very good. IPA was full bodied and not just a lager infused with a ton of hops like some places create. Pizza was good as well. Everything was very fairly priced. Good selection of music considering deathcore would not attract the older crowd but would like to see some metalcore and deathcore music selections (as I lay dying, winds of plague, the art is murder, etc.) Will definitely go back to Black Sky. read more

Really love this place. They have some of the better craft brews in town and the pizza is surprisingly fantastic. The constantly rotating art is a nice plus for folks who are into some darker pieces. Don't waste your money playing any music via the jukebox. I put in $5 to play a handful of songs and had a couple In Flames songs skipped by the bartender which was a pretty dick move. read more
