I booked two airport transfers using the online quote and booking tool. I received immediate confirmation emails for both bookings. The next morning I reached out via text and then email to add a stop -- not only was there NO response- when I got to my arrival airport there was NO messages from Black Tie and no waiting transport. I called them and they said in their system they were "requests" and they were NOT going to send anyone. See "confirmation of booking" emails attached -- these said they were both confirmed. They refused to do anything -- not even send a formally denial or cancellation to document that they no showed. If you want to actually have them show up and get to your destination, book anyone but Black Tie. read more

My driver, Nick, was professional but very easy going which helped bring down my stress level. He arrived early, happy and ready to take us to my daughters drive through graduation. I used Black Tie Limousine to take my family and friends from Orange County to Los Angeles for my graduation from USC's MBA program. Graduation season is coincident with prom season, so I was lucky that Black Tie had a prom cancellation which made the car available. The driver, DJ, was prompt and exceptionally courteous. The limo was an eight passenger Lincoln MK model. It was immaculately clean, and the seating was exceptionally comfortable. The bar was stocked with water and soft drinks, and there were complimentary decanters with whiskey and vodka as well as a complimentary bottle of champagne. DJ also had a cooler of ice in the back where we kept an additional bottle of champagne chilled. The entertainment system was Bluetooth-enabled (which I was told ahead of time), so we were able to play our own music for the trip through Friday afternoon traffic on the 405. I should also mention that the process of reserving the car was painless. It took only one phone call to set the details, and then the reservation was confirmed by email later the same day. Black Tie made my once-in-a-lifetime graduation a special event for my family and friends, as well. Having everyone in the car together to share stories and zero stress from navigating LA traffic was money well spent. I had a great experience with Black Tie Limousine. It was very easy to book the car, they easily let us adjust the pick-up time, and they provided the complete invoice in advance. The price was comparable, maybe slightly less, than the other companies I called. Dennis was easy to reach and responsive by phone and email, and called to confirm a couple days before. When the special day came, the limo arrived exactly on time and was immaculate. Really, what more do you want and need when booking a limousine? The only less-than perfect note: the iPhone didn't properly connect to the radio so we couldn't listen to our own music. It would have been nice to have that option, particularly if we were spending more time driving around. One other piece of advice, the black limousine fit 8 of us fine, but it was just a bit cozy.
