Dinner was a ribeye cooked medium-rare with asparagus, and it was exactly what a good steak should be: perfectly cooked, with great flavor, and served hot. The kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. I followed that with their lemon icebox dessert and a lemon drop, both excellent, and finished the evening with a Four Roses Small Batch Select for a nightcap. What really sets J Wilson's apart is the staff's consistency and professionalism. The bartenders, servers, and kitchen team all seem to work together smoothly and take pride in the experience they deliver. Even on a busy night, with spring break crowds and daylight saving time throwing schedules off, the service remained attentive, and the food came out exactly right. The Chicken Fried Steak was perfect. About six months ago, everything started to decline. The service has gone from bad to terrible. Today I had to remind the waiter that I had ordered a salad. It arrived after the main dish was served. Chicken Fried Steak was overcooked to the consistency of a piece of leather. Seasonal vegetables tasted terrible. Another one bites the dust!
