On one occasion, I had a washing machine we were ready to junk. It took one part to fix it, and Midwest Appliance explained how to install it until I was comfortable doing it myself. We had that washer for two more years before moving out of the house. More recently, our nearly new refrigerator stopped getting cold. I called Midwest first and they made me aware of an extended warranty that the manufacturer did not mention over the phone. They essentially saved me $600 on that trip. Our clothes dryer stopped getting hot yesterday, so I called them. They had a technician to our house by 1 pm today, he had the part they expected it to be in the truck, and the total experience cost $118, and less than an hour. The technician explained (in plain English) what the issue was and how we can avoid it in the future. Bottom line is that any appliance issue I have, I will check with Midwest Appliance first, and I recommend them to anyone.

I called on a Friday morning based on their Yelp reviews. Once I explained my situation, Tom assured me he'd pull some strings to get a tech out to my house. That they did! The tech came out and tried to fix the old dryer, but it was unfixable. So he proceeded to install the new one (I had two dryers sitting as a result of the fiasco). All in all, they got me squared away, and the pricing was very straightforward. Hopefully, I won't need service again anytime soon, but if I do, I will call Advantage FIRST!

So, the dishwasher has been working well for 9+ months. Then over the weekend, no lights, no power, no nothing. Perfect! I'm a washin' by hand fool. We contacted Kitchenaid to find an authorized warranty repair company locally. They offered D&S and Diamond to us through their website. So, we checked Yelp reviews of the two options and found them to have just a raft of horrible reviews. Bright and early Monday morning I was on the phone to Kitchenaid customer service to find other options. Dustin offered up a couple options, which I looked up on Yelp quickly and dismissed. Then he offered up Advanced Maytag. Good reviews, nothing about crappy service people. We scheduled. The service rep showed up, was professional but personable and went to work. He quickly found the problem and fixed it.. Not a warranty fix though. That's more an indictment of me than Kitchenaid or Advanced. The experience with Advanced is about what I would hope for. Quick to respond, professional, found and fixed the problem in one visit, reasonably priced. We will definitely keep them on our list to call should I ever decide to install a major appliance by myself again.

He was the only good thing about Advanced Appliance. I bought a new dishwasher from Demetri and it didn't have a drying element which is nuts. If it did have one, then it was broken. Demetri swapped it out for a Samsung. (then apparently quit a week after selling it to me) There is another tech there who is the absolute worst. His name is Albert and he is a big clumsy oaf with bad manners. He broke my screen door in a hissy fit because he was talking out his butt about things that didn't concern him and I told him to be quiet. He slammed out of my house saying to take care of the dishwasher install myself then. The idiot seemed to have forgotten that Rafael was also there and HE was the one doing the install. During the install of the dishwasher, just prior to him slamming out of the house,, they accidently broke a water pipe which caused a lot of damage to items in my basement. (Warren's insurance paid out for those items. I made sure of it.) Idiot boy moved a pole I had sitting on top of a wardrobe, that was holding a tarp in place, causing water to get all over the wardrobe. I asked him why he moved it and he got mad and threw it back on top, causing even MORE damage! This guy is a walking clusterfrak. When we got back to the kitchen after we got the water turned off, that's when he started running his mouth about some nonsense to do with cleaning up the water. I was already upset and that's when I told him to be quiet and he stormed out. Rafael finished the job by himself and like I said, is the best thing about this horrid company. He's knowledgeable, polite, and I wish I could keep using him but Advanced stopped being a part of the Pivotal Home Solutions program so they won't do service through them anymore. That was the second dud dishwasher i got from them. The first one as mentioned above, didn't have any sort of heating element to dry the dishes. If it did. then it wasn't working. I was able to swap it out for another one a Samsung this time and a month into using it it started making weird noises and won't clean the dishes. I'm currently trying to get the thing fixed. Don't buy from them unless you want a lemon. I heard they went out of business. Google isn't helpful in confirming, but I wouldn't be surprised. Oh and this was a joke - When I asked about a bundle discount buying the dishwasher plus a new clothes washer and dryer, he wanted to give me a mere $25 off. I'm spending about $5500 with you and that's the best you can do? I declined to buy the washer and dryer and just went with the dishwasher. He's not getting any more of my business. He arrived right on time and wore protective gear and booties on his shoes so he wouldn't make a mess. He got my microwave fixed in half an hour; it was an easy fix with a part that just needed to be put back into place because it got dislodged. Good, quick service, I was happy with the work. I don't know what more I could ask for in a service situation…read more I submitted a Yelp request for service on my Maytag dryer that wasn't heating up so 6 service professionals respond, but SMA was able to do same day service and work with my schedule. The technician arrived on time, looked at my issue and repaired the dryer with parts he had with him. The price was comparable to other service quotes , without an upcharge for same day service. Does it get any better than this? I will be using SMA for any future service needs.

We've had Leonardi out for two appliance repairs in the last four months, and we won't be using them again. The first visit was for a dishwasher that had stopped getting the dishes clean. After a $300+ repair, it leaked the very next time we used it, causing over $2,000 in damage. That repair should never have been done, and the technician should have advised us to replace the unit. We gave them the benefit of the doubt that he did what he thought was best and called them back for a dryer issue. This technician said nothing was wrong, yet the problem has continued. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. There won't be a third time.
