Everything Bagel and lox
Linda S.

Cute little breakfast spot. Delicious bagels with flavored cream cheeses. Good coffee and fabulous but not inexpensive bagel sandwiches. They were loaded with lox, flavored cream cheese, tomato, red onion and capers Excellent! O Reddit at the counter with food brought to the table.

Frisco sandwich with chips

I had such high hopes for the Blackberry Inn- I wish I had better things to say. The restaurant is simple on the inside with some seating, a few goods for sale, and a counter. The staff was nice and one of the owners was there giving recommendations to visitors. I ordered a Crisco sandwich on a cheddar jalapeño bagel, which was one of the few bagels left by noon. My friend had an egg sandwich on a bagel, which they said was great. Unfortunately, my sandwich wasn't very great. The bagel was plain and didn't taste like cheddar or jalapeño or anything at all. The blackberry jam overwhelmed the rest of the sandwich. And for $16 for a bagel sandwich and plain chips, it was just not worth it. It seems like other people really enjoy it, so maybe it was a one-off event.

We stopped by BlackBerry Inn Kitchen for a quick bite to eat, and although it was delicious, it was definitely not quick! We waited about 30 minutes for our bagels after we ordered, but luckily we had nowhere pressing to be. The bagels were perfectly chewy, and both the bacon and egg were cooked well. Overall it was a great sandwich!

"Mother in law" on an Asiago bagel wasn't

I got the "Mother in law" on an Asiago bagel. Bacon was perfect, sausage was flavorful. The bagel wasn't rock hard, it was perfectly soft. The egg was a little over done for my liking, but I would get it again. All in all a great sandwich. The staff is so kind and cheerful, it's a great start to any morning going there. The cafe is quiet and quaint, very nice atmosphere.

I stopped in for breakfast while visiting the area and was underwhelmed. I enjoyed the flavors of a cinnamon raisin bagel with French toast cream cheese but the bagel was sooo tiny! I'm used to bigger fluffy bagels and was left a bit disappointed. Service was great though

Lox bagel on garlic bagel add lettuce

I had the lox bagel, and honestly, it was the best lox sandwich I've had in recent memory. I was in NYC just last week and had a bagel there, and I've had lox bagels all over the country--but this one stood out. The bagel itself was incredibly fresh--crisp on the outside, perfectly chewy and soft on the inside. The scallion cream cheese was absolutely to die for. Highly recommend this spot for breakfast or lunch if you're in Watkins Glen. You won't be disappointed!

Bambino breakfast sandwich with onion and tomato added

Stopped in to get a pumpkin spice latte, a blueberry scone and the bambino breakfast sandwich (with tomato and onion added) to go so I could enjoy the latte on my walk to GWSP and enjoy my sandwich in the Gorge. Sadly the PSL was not drinkable. It had a very strange taste so I had to chuck it after a few attempts trying to convince myself it was worth the calories. I shoulda skipped the espresso drink bc if I'm not mistaken it was an automated machine and not a real espresso maker. The blueberry scone was not the best I've ever had. Wasn't the worst though. The sandwich was the saving grace. Really enjoyed that after I found the perfect spot in the park. Service was friendly enough. I agree with others who said it's strange that they do not post their prices anywhere. Without good coffee drinks though I'm not sure I'll go back. Would rather head down to North New York for the coffee and scones.

The large iced coffee

Man I wanted to like this place! I cringed when I heard the prices for iced coffee- I can see why they don't put the prices on the menu boards- we had to ask. I ended up ordering the largest, which came out to north of $7.00. What I got was, unfortunately, tiny and just not very good. The coffee tasted a little sharp and unpleasant, almost like they brew a strong coffee extract and then maybe need to water it down a bit when serving. I added half and half but couldn't really save it. While I was there, another couple customers had ordered just a bagel with cream cheese and had been waiting ten minutes. He called out the kid in the back to ask what he was doing since he wasn't making the bagel and was told they are out of cream cheese. To the cashiers credit, he tried to refund them their money. Not sure I'll be back but will definitely not be ordering overpriced iced coffee at this tourist trap.

Absolutely the BEST bagel I have had in an extremely long time. So so good. Awe each got a build your own breakfast sandwich and coffee. His was kaiser roll, sausage, many cheddar and fried egg with 13 oz coffee. Mine (pictured below) was a ttoasted everything bagel, sausage, ny cheddar and fried egg with 16oz coffee. Breakfast for 2 for $25!! Service was truly remarkable. Friendly staff, quick food, and enjoyable Cafe style place.

Ham, egg and cheese on a croissant
Meridith E.

Excellent bagel sandwich and ham, egg and cheese croissant. We stopped on our way out of town after a week's stay due to the positive reviews. The shop is run by a very nice couple who provided kind, friendly service - and the breakfast was fresh, hot and delicious!

No prices anywhere but when asked, a plain bagel is more than $4. Great location in center of town.

I had a little extra sauce to mine and will add the scallion cream cheese just to make it a little better.

Close the base of a spectacular waterfall is this amazing coffee shop. I could smell the Java before we even got close to the door. Nice inside the waft of coffee beans and baked goods tantalizes your nose. It was love at first sniff. We met the owners who were so sweet & kind, along with their little Bub who had just turned one. Cutie patooty. This place is decorated so well. It literally felt like we were sitting having coffee with friends. Great taste on the tongue and the eyes. We both decided on iced cold brew. They have a variety of scones and bagels. I chose the fig, goat cheese and rosemary scone and my love chose the everything bagel with hummus. I am a scone snob and I will tell you that scone was buttery, savory and scrumptious. The sweetness of the fig & tang of goat cheese married together with the herbal essence of rosemary was absolute perfection. Bravo.....I am truly a fan. I did have a small bite of the bagel and it was tender and flavorful. There wasn't even a crumb on either plate. Thank you for having us ya'll. This Kentucky girl will definitely be back!

Tossed is located on Market Street which can be busy during lunch & dinner. They offer Vegan and Vegetarian as well. We arrived just after noon so most of the tables were taken. We managed to snag a table though and ordered. My guy had the gluten free cheeseburger bowl which was delicious! Came with a bowl of Romaine, burger, red onion, cheese, and ripe tomatoes and a tangy sauce Looked so good I had to have a bite and it was Great! I had the Trio of Isles which included 2 homemade Spanakopita. I could tell immediately because of the pastry wasn't the usual store bought puff pastry. And, it was so flavorful with garlic, spices and Pine nuts. The hummus was good and the pita points were toasted and warm when served. The falafel was okay and one was filling with homemade Tzatziki sauce. I managed to eat both falafels. I would definitely come again and just get the Spanakopita-it was Amazing. They do a lot of Take Out. Some of their salads were huge (definitely two meals worth - lunch & dinner) and several patrons were taking what they couldn't finish home for dinner.

I usually get Cate's Buhda Bowl but recently branched out and got the tofu veggie wrap, chock full of goodness and protein. Both are really flavorful and nourishing, generous too. There is another thing that keeps me coming back. Tossed is clearly family-run, and I know that a father-daughter team seem to be mostly in charge. Once, they got my order wrong, and I waited longer than usual for the correction to appear. Not only did they credit my order but I think the person who made the error was in tears. I just love these people, they are so sweet!
