It was my first time visiting, and upon arrival, we were initially turned away by the host and informed there would be a two hour wait for walk ins due to not having a reservation. However, I noticed an empty table available at the time. Fortunately, we were able to quickly make a reservation once we stepped outside and were then seated at that same table minutes later. I hope this is not a common occurrence, as it can take away from the overall experience and initial impression. That said, our server Sydney ( Australia), was incredibly kind and attentive. She ensured we were well taken care of from start to finish, which truly elevated our visit. The food and drinks were both excellent, and overall, I had a great experience after the mishap . Stopped by Blackstone Herbs and Martini Bar for a casual lunch after seeing a lot of solid reviews. Overall it was a mixed experience for us. First thing to note, the service was pretty slow, which seems to line up with what others have said. We had to wave down our wait staff couple times and at points it felt like they just MIA. Not terrible, but definitely noticeable. The ambience was a highlight. Very quaint and cozy with lots of eclectic decor on the walls that actually gives you something fun to look at. The vibe felt welcoming and relaxed, kinda like a neighborhood coffee shop mixed with a casual restaurant, which we liked, haha! Pricing caught me a bit off guard. It felt on the higher side, especially for flight style portions. That said, the espresso martini flight was pretty good. The caramel and butter pecan were the standouts. The birthday cake martini was a miss though. It did not taste like birthday cake, more like a drink with a lot of sprinkles mixed in and the color started blending in towards the end. Food wise, the deviled eggs were solid. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and the mayo mustard mix gave it a nice tang. The Cajun shrimp had a light bite and was enjoyable. The bacon was honestly my favorite, great smoky flavor and cooked well. For the burger sliders, we tried the buffalo chicken, fried chicken, and meatball. The fried chicken was easily the best. Tender, crunchy, and full of flavor. The meatball was a close second and reminded me of a classic meatball sub. The buffalo chicken was the weakest of the three. The buffalo sauce was pretty mild and the chicken was not as juicy or flavorful as the fried chicken. Overall, the biggest misses were the slow service and the higher price point for the portions. I got the loaded fries, and it came with so much that I shared it with my husband, and honestly, we both got our own things and regretted it because we could've definitely shared one food flight. I was very surprised with how much they served. My friend got the mac & cheese flights, and he said it was very good. And Monday is a special day where you can mix-and-match 3 items from different categories i.e. you can have an item from the mac and cheese flight, with one from the fries flight, and one from the egg roll flight. They also were out of a lot of ingredients, which really limited what we could choose on the menu. Don't know if this is a regular occurrence. The food took FOREVER to come out, and we resorted to crackers and dip we had in our car to stave off the hunger. I ordered baked Mac and cheese, an impossible burger, and loaded fries. The food itself was good, and I liked the loaded fries the best, since the fries were nice and crispy. My friend, however, was sorely disappointed by the tiny taco that came with his flight. This taco, priced at $5.50, could within in the palm of my hand... My friend mentioned he went here a couple months ago the decorations were completely different, so I wonder if the management had changed and they were still getting organized. I also don't quite get how the menu is setup- they advertise flights of food, but outside of Monday's mix-and-match special, you can only pick three items from a specific category. The food here is delicious. Last night we got a flight of French fries as an appetizer. We chose the parmesan truffle, buffalo chicken, and loaded. They were very very good. The fries they have are like the battered ones. We also got the egg rolls, we order 2x the cheese steak ones and the Thanksgiving one. Again, delicious. I love how crispy the outside is. And I like how they cut them in half it makes it easier to share. Finally our last flight was sliders, I got the fried chicken and the cheeseburger. I definitely recommend those ones. It's so fun to get to try different kinds of foods. But I was also filled up. For our drinks we each got one of the specialty ones. This was quite the treat. We went on Wednesday night to participate in the musical bingo. I would say it wasn't too crowded but it was helpful to have reserved our spot. Went Thursday night for Ladies Martini night. Sydney was our waitress. She was attentive and personable. Took time to really explain the menu, how to select flights, where to find things on the menu. She alone was 5 star. Th martini options were so good hard to choose 3 to try in the flight. Will be going back to try more. Wish we had gone with bigger appetites after having the bruschetta flight. Came in for ladies night. We were 20 minutes late for our reservation due to some issues with our Uber. They held the table anyway. The decor is super cute. The menu is flights only. You can't get individual anything. We started with margaritas and martinis. I got the margaritas and chips options. The salsa and guacamole were amazing! The wings come in 8 to a flavor and you have to get 3 flavors. The nachos were also solid portions of the chips a little light on the meat but well flavored. The eggrolls looked good too. Both of the taco flights were delightful. Then we moved on to espresso martini flights and finally a full size martini to finish. The staff was super nice and everything tasted amazing! The final bill was $306. A little bit expensive but not crazy. It would be nice if they'd allow you to get single items. We didn't need 24 wings. Came back another night with some friends and got some mix and match flights. The quality of the food ranges. The breakfast sandwich was really good, the sliders were great. The tacos were aesthetically pleasing, but the flavor was not there. My friend and I got the chicken Tinga tacos and they were not good. The natural flights are OK, but they use process canned cheese, which really takes it down a notch. The French fly flights are good. In my opinion, the food is OK so it's definitely over priced. Came on a Tuesday night after soccer. It was Taco Tuesday (shock face) so we sit at the bar ( there's some cute tables as well but it wasn't busy and close to closing so we chose the bar). The atmosphere here is so relaxed and chill I loved it. Bartender was great she explained the menu to us and gave us time to attempt to pick what we wanted (we wanted everything) plus most items on the item come in threes. The food comes out so fast but they don't skimp on quality! We got the watermelon, strawberry, and classic margaritas (AMAZING). Ordered the carnitas, ground beef, and shrimp tacos absolutely freaking delicious! I got a strawberry & goat cheese bruschetta I now know what bliss taste like. The food was so good i went twice in one week! The food and drinks are really good here, and not terribly priced. However, even though the flights concept is a GREAT idea, it is just poorly executed. They are very obviously understaffed, food takes foreverrrrr to come out, and there is no guidance when you walk in the door as it is a CBD shop/coffee shop/bar/restaurant, and its a seat yourself. It gets very chaotic in this place because for all their services the place is extremely small and for the size of the plates/flights, the tables are super small. The service was okay, the wait times were long for a party of two, and the food was just okay. It took 40 minutes for two flights of snacks- they got our orders wrong in the meantime. While they did try to make it right, it still ended up taking more time for that and by then we had had enough- it just wasn't gonna work. They did comp us for the full sized drinks we ordered but honestly, those weren't great either. I feel like maybe they're trying to do too much. Pretty confused after visiting here with friends. This place came pretty highly recommended so we made the hour long drive very excited. Apparently they don't do food flights on Mondays, but that wasn't stated anywhere on their website. So we were immediately let down upon entering. Then they were out of EVERY THING! They only had one bread option (bagels), no spinach, no Prosecco for mimosas, no Triple Sec for margaritas, the list went on. We paid for food and drinks BEFORE we were told of what they were out of so they came to tell us all that was available was lettuce instead of spinach (for a spinach artichoke sandwich) and Espresso Martinis. No offer to comp food or drinks or anything. The prices are absurd to be met with this kind of disappointment. But the real kicker for me was the dripping ceiling vent, the unfinished seating, and the holes in the ceiling. If you're not ready to open your business then maybe just don't do it yet. Close down and take some time to figure it out because to pay $65 for lunch here is incredibly absurd.
