    Seafood Alfredo
    Rebecca B.

There's a few pretty cool items inside this place that catch your eye. A ship in the outer foyer and a birdcage like piece on the inner foyer. Decor is cozy and not over done. Seating is comfortable and spacious. Our server was very polite and attentive and knowledgeable. The drinks are made well and very reasonably priced. The food is also a great price for the size of the portions you get. We started with clams casino. Usually I'm very iffy with them because they tend to be overcooked and dry. However, I was pleasantly surprised. They were cooked absolutely perfectly! It was probably the best part of the dinner. My friend ordered the scallops Nantucket with butternut squash. Scallops were cooked well. Squash had a little too much allspice and probably could've use some butter and brown sugar to even it out. But she still enjoyed them and the dish overall. I ordered the seafood Alfredo. It wasn't bad but it wasn't something I would order again from here. The mussels didn't taste fresh at all. The Alfredo was severely lacking in flavor. I'm not one to salt my food (unless it's French fries) but I added salt, pepper and Parmesan cheese to my dish. The shrimp tasted like it was the freshest part of the dish. I'm going to say that even tasting my friends scallops, they didn't taste fresh at all. Not a bad meal though. We didn't leave anything behind. However, I don't think this is going on my recommendation list. At least not for seafood. I've come here before and had better meals but this was my first with their seafood and probably my last.

Went here for dinner tonight, first took forever to pick up the phone, second forgot my whole husbands order, and then while I'm eating the stuffed shrimp doesn't look like it's cooked at all. They did give use a refund on my husband food and two free dessert that don't look cooked at all. So totally would not recommend ordering take out. Only good thing here is there chicken soup.

I come here every Saturday at 11:30 AM when they open up, always a great seat at the bar. The bartenders Greta and Gloria are amazing and the food is fantastic. I highly recommend sams inn when you're in Warwick any time of the day.

I was hungry and wanted a good size burger that didn't cost $15. So I stopped here and ordered a burger (cooked to perfection) with cole slaw and a side salad for 3.99. A nice quiet pub with attentive service and food served in minutes. Great place to stop after a day of hiking Rocky Point. They are open daily (unlike some places that close on Monday and Tuesday). Nice place with decent food and you are supporting a small business and not a franchise. Next time I'll try the prime rib!! That's my kind of place!

It took awhile to be greeted by the server. This is not a first impression but the waiter eventually came and was very nice. The French Onion soup was warm and had a burnt taste. The salad was a nice accompaniment to the dinner. The Sorrentino was large and the taste was good- a tomato Marsala sauce. The ambience in the restaurant was a bit old fashioned. And the waiter was a bit scattered. However overall it was good. It was good to try but not a place that lands in my rotation.

We love trying new places and supporting small businesses, so we decided to give it a shot. It was a Tuesday, and the owner, his son, and a friendly female server were all there. The menu was understandably limited, but they had a Taco Tuesday special, so I went for that while my husband ordered the penne pasta with marinara sauce. I also tried the Paloma Margarita, though I was a little let down that it came in a regular glass. The food wasn't bad, and we're hopeful for the new owner, who just came back to the state after being away for a long time. That said, the son was a bit overzealous--it felt like he was trying a little too hard to win people over. Hopefully, it's just nerves and excitement from being new! This spot is just a few blocks from Oakland Beach, so it's shaping up to be a nice neighborhood hangout for any day of the week. Looking forward to trying their breakfast! We could definitely use more places like this in the Warwick-Oakland beach area.

There's this little neighborhood bar, right in front of the Rocky Point entrance in Warwick Neck. Fish and Chips are on the specials menu, a chalkboard right next to the bar that also sported Prime Rib and Baked Cod on the night we visited. Little might not be the best description, it's a definitely a neighborhood place, tucked right into a residential area, houses all around, but the bar itself is a pretty grand affair. Its a big horseshoe shaped thing, something like 20-25 seats, and beyond it hightop tables for another 30+, then there's an expansive outside area, not so handy here in December, but its probably just the thing in nice weather. In years past, this use to be a very popular destination for a motorcycle ride. I imagine in nice weather it's likely to be the same. There is an absolutely huge parking lot. Anyway, the Fish & Chips were pretty great. Old School style, with a flour based batter, thin and crispy brown on the outside. The fish was nice, firm, piping hot and delicious. I also got an order of Clam Cakes, and though they aren't road trip worthy like an Aunt Carries, I didn't leave a single one left over. Not too shabby. One helpful hint. If you're going for dinner, have a look at the website to see if it's a live music night. On the night we visited, the band was rocking, and the show started early, so dinner that night definitely came with music.

Fresh clam cakes and views of the water don't get any better. They have the beach parking (which they charge for, not sure when they start) or try to park in the first few lots when you enter. They also have tables outside and inside to enjoy your meal. The employees are a hit or miss on who's going to be friendly or not so that's why they lose a star. And sometimes the chowder can taste a little unseasoned. But otherwise give it a go.
