BEWARE SIMPLY SPRINKLERS - BRENT MAURIELL : SCAMMER Been in…read moreour house for 8 years & getting ready to repaint. The painter said to adjust the sprinklers so that they do not hit the house and discolor the paint (as they have). Spoke to Brent of Simply Sprinklers and explained what we needed for our 8,000 sq ft lot with 20 sprinklers, including a shrubbery zone: that they need to be adjusted to not hit the house, check to see if they need replacing or maintenance (it's been 8 years) and ensure the system times are correct. Brent said that is exactly what his $85 dollar tune-up does and he will identify any work that needs to be done. He and his associate spent about an hour on Friday, October 24th 2025 "looking" at my yard, then showed me a few flagged sprinkler heads. He said, a couple were clogged and two were too low to clear the grass. I said great! But, then his associate pulled the flags up so I would not be able to locate those sprinklers again. I had him wait (I have some old flags) until I put my own ($0.25 a piece) down. Why would they do that? Turned out it was a "cya" scam to cover any work they did or didn't do. Next day I replaced the clogged sprinkler, but noticed in that zone, that one sprinkler was hitting my house AND was only oscillating about 15 degrees instead of 180 degrees. Another oscillating sprinkler was broken (with the front part that holds a screw to reduce the distance missing so it was shooting about 20 feet out with nothing in between. Called Brent on the 26th and told him about the issues. Denied, denied, denied. He lectured me that those sprinklers only oscillate 90 or 180 degrees and it was rotating 180 degrees when they looked at it (12 hours earlier) and someone must have broken that other one in the same 12 hours since he checked because everything was working perfectly. Discussion ended after I suggested Simply Sprinklers had become complacent and if they saw any water spraying... it was okay. Today (31st) I checked the other zones & found more issues. Right side of the house has two sprinklers hitting it and two of the drip lines for my shrubs had no ends on them so water was just shooting out. Also, several sprinklers (not flagged) were too low and were not getting out past the grass but according to Brent, "But, it's wet back there so probably don't need to do anything." Unbelievable!!! I've adjusted, raised and replaced sprinklers as necessary so my system is once again working correctly. Simply Sprinkler's lack of professionalism and competence, and Brent's (IMHO) dishonesty and entitled attitude has prompted me to write this review. Hopefully, no one else will throw money away on this pretentious company that is incapable of the simplest job. They will take your money and run. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR SPRINKLER SYSTEM!!!

DO NOT USE DIXIE'S SEPTIC -- YOU'VE BEEN WARNED…read more I don't normally write reviews, but this company earned every word of this one. I contacted Dixie's for a leach field estimate. They told me the owner was out sick and would follow up. Instead, a week later, I received a vague $6,500+ estimate via email--no site visit, no discussion, just a generic message with shady disclaimers like "not responsible for damage to pavers." That language doesn't belong in an estimate email--it belongs in a contract--and even then, it's a massive red flag. Despite my gut saying to walk away, I gave them a chance. I told them my driveway is fully paved, the property is gated, and we have dogs. There's no way anyone could access the site without contacting me. They insisted the owner had come out--physically impossible. Still, I agreed to move forward with a basic tank cleanout in the meantime. That's when the real problems began. They sent out two guys who clearly didn't know what they were doing. They couldn't figure out how to run their hoses (this is supposed to be their job), started pumping for 10 minutes, and then told me the truck was full. They packed up and left--leaving my septic tank completely open, hose dangling, unsecured and exposed. Yes, I have this all on camera. And yes, I'm actively looking into whether this violates environmental or health codes. Open septic tanks are a public health and safety risk--plain and simple. While I'm still reviewing the applicable regulations, it's worth noting that Florida law and environmental codes treat unguarded or improperly secured septic systems as potential health violations. If there are penalties or reporting requirements here, I will pursue them. Hours later, a second truck arrived, pumped quickly, closed the tank, and drove off without confirming a single thing with me. That night? My house backed up--sinks, toilets, everything. Turns out, they never fully pumped the tank. When I called to report the issue, I was screamed at by a woman calling herself "80-year-old Aunt Jane," who barked into the phone: "WHO IS THIS AND WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" Eventually, someone returned. And sure enough, the tank was still half full. The waste had dried along the walls--no backflush, no line clearing, just laziness. I asked them to flush the interior lines to finish the job (a standard part of professional service), and they said that's "just a courtesy." Everything with this company is an excuse. And then it got worse. That night, while walking my dog, I discovered my custom steel gate post--a remote-controlled, solid metal post embedded in concrete--had been ripped out of the ground. Not bent, not scratched--ripped out. Sure enough, my cameras caught their truck backing straight into it, then the driver trying to jam it back into place to hide the damage. I called to report the damage--they denied it. Then I told them I had video evidence. Only then did they admit the truth and say they'd cover the cost. I sent them the estimate, and since then it's been nothing but games, delays, and more avoidance. I want to make this perfectly clear: I have full video surveillance of everything. Every truck. Every interaction. Every lie. Anyone who doubts this is welcome to request the footage. It's all there. Also, Florida Statute §316.061(1) makes it a criminal offense to damage property with a vehicle and leave the scene without informing the property owner. That's exactly what their driver did--and it only came to light because I had cameras. We've given Dixie's every opportunity to make this right. They've chosen deception, negligence, and outright disrespect instead. We are pursuing every available avenue to report and warn others--public reviews, consumer protection complaints, state and local authorities, and beyond. And yes, I am actively investigating any and all additional violations they may have committed by leaving the tank open and failing to secure the site properly. If you care about your property, your time, or your sanity--DO NOT use Dixie's Septic.

I've used Dixie Septic Tank Services a number of times over the years, this project required a…read moreopen-ended purchase order to haul and dispose of some industrial strength organic wastewater sludge and effluent during a pump down of a wastewater pre-treatment plant so we could do some renovations and maintenance to the plant. Dixie managed a fleet of trucks to accomplish this using a few contract haulers as well as one of their trucks they dedicated to the project. Over the course of nine days they provided exceptional service, their employees were very reliable and were very professional during the entire project. I was provided with manifest for each load and the operators ensured all connections to the truck were clean and efficient and they used the necessary PPE (personal protection equipment) during the process and observed all safety protocols as they entered and exited the plant property. I would definitely recommend using Dixie Septic for all your industrial, commercial or residential needs for fast and reliable service, you don't stay in business for over 55 years unless you're doing things right...
