I had no idea…read morethey existed until my mom/aunt/cousin all told me it was awesome....but they've been around for 4 years, so I thought it must just be that I was really unobservant (and I didn't live in the area). I got a great cut here. I have really thick, curly hair. Even though I requested a straight style cut, she made sure that it would still look good if I wore it curly, which I didn't ask for, but I reaaaally appreciate! I asked her some product questions, and she recommended some products that she doesn't even sell! So I knew I could really take her advice. Two reasons it gets four instead of five stars: When she was done, I asked her to make my bangs just a little shorter, and she took off about 1/2 an inch, when I was thinking more like 1/4 inch. So they were a little awkwardly short, but it's partly my fault for not being really specific. The second reason is because the location is not super beautiful. It's defintely nice, but it doesn't feel like a luxury. But I suppose that is maybe why the haircuts are only $30!

She proceeded to give me literally half a head of bangs, almost two full inches behind the line I said was already beyond my comfort zone. Right before it was done, I was getting increasingly anxious with the plan and she challenged me with "what is your body saying?" I responded, "it's screaming no..." to which she quickly responded "well, I have a full body yes and I'm gonna go" and seconds later it was done. It wasn't that my communication was unclear and I'm still baffled why I didn't stand up and walk out, I've just NEVER been coerced by a stylist like that before! When I went for a repair haircut the new stylist heard my story and said, "let me guess, an Adeline?" Apparently she is know for this type of behavior, believing herself an artist who knows what you want better than you do. In the week since I've heard from several other's who were treated similarly and felt stunned into submission. I am going to regret visiting her salon for well over a year while this grows out. My experience was always the same, I'd show my stylist some photos of things I wanted or say what I wanted, and the stylist would always choose the longest cut or convince me to keep it "long enough to tuck behind my ears". Well, this place was different. Megan Youngren gave me the best haircut I've had in a long time. She actually listened to my input, discussed with me how the style would look on me vs the pictures, and showed me how to style it afterwards! No next week hair flops for me! She also waxed my eyebrows, and they were mostly well done, but I think she went a little too thin on one spot. The staff is very friendly. Aside from my own conversation, I heard almost every other client having lively discussion with their stylists. Overall, this was the best experience I've had at a hair salon, and my hair looks great!

It seems clean, which is lovely and should be a obvious standard, but again I have seen questionable nail places. I got a gentleman, which is fine. The customer service was great. But I'm just sadden that I don't think the gel will last a week, when I am use to stretching a "good" French gel manicure out for almost 6-weeks. AND... some of the lines are crooked.
