Shortly after my last visit I got a large bill for taking photos of some moles. The office did end up waiving this and I was happy with the outcome. Today, I received another large bill from their pathology lab, Cohen Dermatopathology, which sent a completely non-covered, non-essential payment request to my insurance without any communication whatsoever and was denied for being "experimental". When I called my insurance they told me that they already issued payment prior to the bill being sent AND that I am not responsible for any experimental procedures. Overall just not worth the hassle of dealing with the surprise, stressful medical bills.

I have been going to David, PA, in the Thousand Oaks office for months now. I was having severe itching issues. David diagnosed a rare skin condition and got me on an injected medication immediately. David followed up with monthly in-office visits to do follow-up injections while I waited on prescription approval David also checked to make sure everything was working as intended. He also assisted with getting the prescription through my insurance company, which was a nightmare. And a big thank you to Katie, RN, who also had a lot to do with getting the insurance company to cover the medication. Katie not only got the prescription approved, but assisted in getting a very nice discount, which saved me thousands of dollars. In the last few years, Doctor Weitzbach's annual skin cancer checks have found 2 cancers (one requiring radiation and one Mohs surgery) and numerous pre-cancers requiring freezing. The two most serious cancers were caught so early that second opinions from plastic surgeons verified Dr. Weitzbach's early detection saved us from potentially disfiguring surgery that would have been required if the tumors had been allowed to grow. His and his team's treatment of our children has been equally exceptional. Whether treating severe adolescent acne with Accutane, strategies for Psoriasis or simple acne facials, we could not have asked for more or better treatment. Did I mention that they have a pharmacy on the premises so you don't have to go running to the drugstore after your doctors visit? Convenience and competence... We could not ask for more and strongly recommend Dr. Weitzbach.

They had intentionally refrained from telling me that the cost is different for out of network patients and I received an additional, surprise bill from them for much more than the initial payment weeks later. If they didn't know what the total cost would be at the time that I called in to check prior to the appointment due to me being out of network, they should have at least told me that, rather than telling me my total cost is some untruthful $ amount. Their front desk is also rude and needs to be micro-managed by patients for anything to get done, such as transferring medical records from my previous doctor. Nidia constantly called me "honey" in a condescending, sarcastic tone in my communications with her. I have seen a number of other dermatologists in the past and have never felt this level of distrust or disrespect with a practice before. I miss my former dermatologist who recently retired. I'm going to switch to telehealth for my dermatology needs. The pricing is much more upfront and clear. I can have a video call with the dermatologist or send them photos of my condition to receive a bespoke diagnosis, just like in-person visits. I can also still communicate with the dermatologist for up to 1-2 weeks after my appointment via chat which is great. I don't work in telehealth and I usually don't promote things. I'm just tired of dealing with unclear costs and an unhelpful front desk.

She has actually advised me NOT to get some extra services in the past because they would look unnatural. That is how a doctor should treat her patients, true and honest advice that is in the patient's best interest. RUN AWAY FROM THIS DR & HIS PRACTICE. INCOMPETENCE GALORE, I went in for a painful swollen nail infection, saw the doctor on Thursday, saw I was in pain and agitated, he WOULD NOT give me the medication that i asked for to ease my pain/infection. Simple diagnosis should have been made from visual and physical contact, instead the doctor choose to order test on samples, 1 week later his tests said i was negative, and wanted me to come back in the office and run me through the ringer with more test$. I went to my reg doctor, who saw me on SATURDAY and prescribed everything i needed. I will not go back to this terrible doctor nor will i recommend his lackluster services read more

I needed to find a reliable dermatologist in my area (W. Hills) for a persistent rash I couldn't get rid of. I saw Dr. Kranson's name online and decided to give him a call. The receptionist was really friendly and I was able to get in that week. When I arrived at the office, there was very little paperwork to fill out and almost no wait time. Dr. Kranson was both thorough and caring, answering all my questions. Dr. Kranson was able to take care of the rash that was bothering me. I have been going to Dr. Kranson for over 20 years. My entire family uses him as well. He has always taken great care of us and has went above and beyond when needed. He will take the time to hear your concerns and you leave knowing he is very knowledgeable in dermatology. I love his staff. They are kind, caring and always professional. I have suffered with different problems through the years and they have always been able to help me in one way or another. I have been seeing Dr. Osman and Ms. Sanvictores for over a decade now for routine Botox, help with acne and, most recently, laser treatment for hyper-pigementation (melasma). Both practitioners are very careful to explain the benefits and drawbacks of the various treatments they provide (injectables, laser, topicals...etc.) and tend to be conservative in that they want to make sure people have the best possible outcome without appearing unnatural or over-worked on. They both have answered all my questions beyond my satisfaction and I can't think of a single negative experience I've had with either of them. If you have a cosmetic issue or concern, I would highly recommend them. Los Angeles has a LOT of plastic surgeons and cosmetic dermatologists. But I choose to go to them, despite them being a long way from my home, because of the quality of their service. Highly recommended.
