Wart at its peak of blistering
    David Z.

Excellent bedside manner!! I visited castle for a wart and was seen by Dr. Pedram Ghasri. Dr. Ghasri answered all my questions( I had a lot). I had so much anxiety coming in. However, his calm demeanor and medical care kept me at ease. One thing that really stood out to me was when I called the doctors office late in the evening because I was concerned with the size of the blister. I left a voice message I was not expecting to hear back till the next morning but to my surprise that evening he reached out to me and reassured me everything was going to be okay. Thank you so much Doctor

A very nice office....but... My insurance assigned me to see Dr. Pedram Ghasri. He seemed like a nice enough guy, fairly quiet and nerdy. He spent about 90% of my examination with his head in his iPad. I felt very rushed and he was gone in under 4 minutes. One of the main reasons I went was because my back has been itching like crazy. He took a quick glance at it and said he didn't see anything. So I asked him if it could be a reaction to a medication I was taking and he said yes, and to get my primary care physician to change the medication. He then looked at a couple of freckles I have that are irregular and said we should biopsy them and that he'd put in for an approval from my insurance. I showed him a few other areas of concern as he was heading for the door and he said he could take care of all those things. He didn't say when, if my insurance would cover it or if I'd have to pay for it. Then he was gone. I came back after getting the approval for the biopsy and his nurse came in, a very, very young girl who right off the bat handed me an ipad to sign a digital approval form for the biopsy. She zoomed in on that signature box and I told her that I needed to read the form before signing it. She looked at me like I was some kind of alien. She took the ipad back and zoomed the document out so I could read it. The document said that I was agreeing that the doctor had already explained the procedure to me, but he hadn't, so I told her I couldn't sign it until he did. She said, "Oh, he'll come in and tell you, you can go ahead and sign it." I said, "no, I can't, because it's not true." She again said he'd come in and tell me before the procedure. I told her that the document says he's already explained it. What if he comes in and forgets to tell me and something goes wrong, and I've already signed the form stating it was explained? She said, "Oh, I see your point." So she took the ipad back and went about preparing the room for the biopsy. At this point I was very uncomfortable that she was trying to illegally get me to sign a medical document and wondered how many other patients of Castle Dermatology's were coerced into signing documents that they hadn't been given the option to read or hadn't had the procedure explained yet. So I told her I was no longer comfortable staying, and left. On the way out I looked around the lobby and saw there was another law that was being broken that I have reported to the Medical Board of California. I realize most people just sign their lives away without reading stuff. I've had 2 of my immediate family members die from medical errors and now volunteer as a patient safety advocate so I'm ultra aware of these things. I emailed the office and asked for the nurse's name so I could report her to the nursing board for trying to coerce me into signing a document without giving me the option to read it. Dr. Ghasri didn't hesitate giving me her name and basically throwing her under the bus. He took no responsibility for her actions and left all the blame with her. They might be good dermatologists, I'll never know. But clearly they don't know how to make patients feel welcome and attended to, and have a need to rush them in and out so they make them sign documents as quickly as possible to get it out of the way.

I was honestly surprised because I've had similar issues in the past that led to ER visits, painful procedures, and unsightly scars. Dr. Rahimi is extremely knowledgeable, gentle, and very conservative in his approach, which I really appreciate. When I ask about different treatments or procedures, he takes the time to explain everything clearly and will even tell me no if something isn't the right choice -- which shows how much he prioritizes patient care over unnecessary treatments. He's also very thoughtful about different skin types and ethnic considerations, which is important to me. As a clinician myself, I'm very selective about the providers I trust, especially with my face, and Dr. Rahimi is one of only two dermatologists I would confidently recommend. His bedside manner is calm and reassuring, and the clinic always feels welcoming -- never rushed or impersonal. I'm really glad I found Dr. Rahimi after moving to LA and look forward to continuing my care with him for years to come. Thank you to Dr. Rahimi and the entire clinic staff for the exceptional care!

She is confident in her work - which is a lot more than I can say for the "celebrity dermatologists" who are running their offices as mills and don't actually care to help patients. I had done PRP at another office nearby at a much higher price and Dr. Ahdout explained how she believes it doesn't do much. She noted letting the blood from skin needling sit on the skin afterwards is sufficient. She could have sold me on PRP since I had inquired about it, but she was transparent. Honestly, that's why I trusted him. I spent that year on topical finasteride and minoxidil, and dermastamping multiple times a week, slowly improving donor quality until he felt I could proceed--with realistic expectations. The procedure itself was incredibly smooth. Zero pain with conscious sedation, and he personally performed all extractions and site creation, which I think really matters. This isn't about achieving perfect density. It's about using limited grafts thoughtfully to create a natural frame for the face. From where I started, this result is beyond anything I expected, and we're already planning a second session to build density. Biggest takeaways: candidacy matters, expectations matter even more, and finding an honest surgeon who thinks like an artist is everything.

So KIND, so professional, so caring, so clean. Everyone! From the receptionists, to all the staff and Doctors. The prior dermatology office I went to obviously "non-diagnosed" my conditions, unfortunately for quite a while. From my very first visit with Dr. Gina Jones, I KNEW I was in the right place I was supposed to be. She was so very professional, kind, and thorough in my full body examination for possible skin cancers, that she made me feel positive I was going to finally get the car I needed. And YES, Dr. Jones did discover and diagnose more than a few "items" that definitely needed addressing and treatment. So thankful for THAT. When It came to treatment time, every visit, they make you feel welcome, comfortable, and safe with anything and everything they do for you. Dr. Jones did a beautiful job of excising my skin cancers. So "smooth", so gentle, so painless. Also, Dr. Hedayati did an amazing job on removing a cancer from my nose, and then reconstructing the area. As I stated previously, every single person in this office is kind, polite and professional as you can find , and I would recommend THE DERMATOLOGY COLLECTIVE to anyone and everyone..... First, the staff warmly greeted me as soon as I walked in. They were all super nice! The bump is gone and the scar is barely noticeable. One thing I really liked about this place was that they said the consultation fee would be applied to any procedure I had done. Other places charged a similar consultation fee but would not count it towards the procedure. On top of that, the total cost was significantly less than quotes I received from other offices -- I probably paid half of what I would've paid at the other places I called. Most importantly, I was seen by Dr. Jones, who is an MD. Other places want you to consult with their PA first. Needless to say I'll be coming here for all my skincare needs going forward. Thank you, Dr. Jones and team!
