This location is terrible, even by current Blake's standards. Last time I came here, I ordered a lotaburger combo from the drive thru. I waited nearly 30 minutes and had to get down to the lobby to pick up my order, which was sitting on a shelf the whole time. When I started eating my order, there was nothing on the burger and the fries were stale. Went back to the cashier, asked for my money back. This seems to be a common theme among the new or remodeled Blake's locations. Maybe they should focus on improving customer service instead of remodeling their restaurants into bland and boring designs. read more

I've always loved Blake's and I've been coming here since before it was remodeled. My last 3 visits have just taken so long that it's not worth it anymore. I know that the food is freshly cooked, but waiting 25 minutes for two burgers is just ridiculous. And it's every time, this place always has a line around the store. So either Blake's isn't properly staffing their crew, or they have slow motion grill cooks. Came here to order a breakfast burrito, there was no line I should've known then. I asked for a bacon and mean breakfast burrito with crispy hasbrowns, the woman taking my order said we can't make the hash browns crispy because that would take 20 minutes (I don't understand how throwing some hash browns on the cook top for two maybe three minutes causes her to say it would be 20 min) I say okay and pay my $6. Immediately after paying I'm handed my burrito so I know at this point that nothing was done to cook my hash browns more how I had asked. What's worse is that as I bite into this burrito the eggs and cheese are cold. The cheese isn't even melted. I shove my finger in the burrito to test the temp and it's literally cold as if they just grabbed it out of a refrigerator. Even the tortilla was cold. I am so disappointed because I am a Blake's fan but this location is really failing to meet the standards that previous Blake's Lotaburgers have set. I thought this Blake's was going to be convenient for it's all day breakfast, however, the service here is so bad I don't even want to eat here. The portions are never uniform, the service is typically bad, and the wait time for simple orders is horrendous. For as much as the food costs these days, I expect to have my full proper portions, not a half sized burrito and a half full soda. They changed there way they do things here, you can tell they pre made the breakfast burritos, they use to make it On the spot, you would have to wait for it but now it's pretty quick but they sacrificed quality for speediness. The BB's are now soggy(tortilla) and sausage and hash browns are hard and dry. And the green chili isn't hot anymore, they barely put any on there. The burgers changed also, it use to be a huge burger now it's small making you want more, maybe that's what they want, but the quality isn't there no more. I have always loved Blake's Lotaburger, but today my husband found plastic wrap inside his burrito. I'd like to say this is an isolated incident but a few years back I found an entire food prep glove in my burrito. We only recently began eating at Blake's again and to have this happen again at the same location is beyond ok. I tried reaching out to the location and remained on hold for over 20 minutes. I decided to call the corporate office and after being on hold for over 20 minutes again, decided to post this instead. The first time this happened I did talk to a manager that said "I am very sorry, I'd be happy to make you another." Let's face it after finding a used glove in your food, you are not likely to still be hungry and even less likely to want to return to the same place. I knew I was in the right place for a green chile burger by the smell alone. They had the green chile on the grill - warming it up and giving it a little bit of char. We were there at breakfast time (and all the regulars were getting a #6 breakfast burrito). But, our time in New Mexico was coming to an end on this visit. And we were jonsing for the burger. I was happily surprised that they had 2 different grills going - one for burgers and one for eggs and hash browns. The staff was very friendly and helpful - they wanted us to have what we wanted! Food is always good. I order a lotaburger combo, green chile and seasond fries, cost $9.81 but the lotaburger got smaller it's now the size of the original itsa burger and that's small. The price goes up the burger gets samller, greed if you ask me. Raise your price but give us the same ol burger, should do both raise the price and give you a smaller buger. If they made the lota smaller, then whats the size of an itsaburger? Maybe they made the itsaburger a micro burger or a slider buger. It's rediculess, I understand inflation, things cost more but when you're one of the best burger spots in NM remember who made you what you are today, i know its not owned by the original owners but changing more and making the burger smaller is wrong. I just don't understand why Blake's drive through service is so awful. They take way longer than any other New Mexican fast food joint in town. Not only that but they always get my order wrong. I payed $3 extra dollars per burger to get green Chile and "double stacked" two beef patties on each burger. The burgers did not have the extra patty. We went to Lotta Burger on Juan Tabo this afternoon. I had ordered on the phone for pickup. We were feeding Burgers and fries to 6 people. One of the orders we called in after the original 5. The order to be picked up at the drive up window The bill was $41 plus change. We were charged for all 6 of the burgers and fries but when we opened the bags we found we had only received 5. This is the 2nd time this same kind of thing has happened there. No longer feel this is a coincidence. I simply think the employees there do not care! We won't go there again.
