Soooo GOOD! And VERY reasonably priced too!!! Hubs had the Lota Burger and enjoyed it. He doesn't rave about food the way I do, so when he says "This burger is pretty good" without me even asking means he LOVED it. My Frito Pie was OUTSTANDING! The flavor was really good and the serving size was great! It's the kind of place that you go to for the food, NOT the ambiance. If I'm ever in Santa Fe again, I'll make it a point to come back.

This was my first time to Lotaburger and I was pretty skeptical. I'm glad I was proven wrong! I got the New Mexico special burger and it was perfect. Two flavorful patties and a little bit of chile on top to provide a nice kick.

Typical burger shop. It reminds me of a cousin of Burger King in how the burger taste and smell charbroiled. Everything tasted fresh and the burgers were made to order. I ordered a Lotta Burger with bacon and fries with a strawberry shake. The strawberry shake tasted too artificial. Certainly didn't taste like it was prepared with real strawberries. Overall an OK experience and definitely a burger place to try if you desire a fresh, traditional burger.

Bun was a bit dry and there was not enough green chili. Otherwise it was delicious. I will stop at a Blake's every time I visit New Mexico. The one on The Paseo Norte in Taos is my favorite.

Perhaps the smallest $2.50 order of fries ever? This is a Blake's medium seasoned fries order.

Absolutely the worst Lotaburger meal ever. I was looking forward to a burger all day and decided to grab one on the way home from work. I called my order in and was pretty happy with the automated ordering system. I got to the restaurant and was happy it wasn't too busy. It took about 5 minutes before my order was ready and I was in and out really quickly. The staff was polite. The problem? The smallest portion of greasy seasoned fries I've ever seen. They cost $2.50! The burger? Tasted like it had been sitting on the grill for hours. Blakes is an institution in NM. My friends that have moved away always want to stop in, until recently. The service has always been expectedly slow, but now the food is hit and miss; more and more frequently a miss. Too bad.

I tried their NM style burger. First time. It lacked flavor. Yes, it was edible. Nothing objectively wrong. It was just underwhelming.

Yumm!! Fast, cheap, delicious. What more could you want in a burger? For some added spice and flavor get your burger with green chile.

I asked for the burger to be cooked medium, and it was more like medium well or more done. The bun was a disaster, falling apart and sliding all over the place. One of the onions on it was inedible. The green chili suffered from a typical New Mexico problem (either hot with no flavor or flavor with no heat); this one was quite hot with no flavor. I don't know why, but my expectations were pretty high, but this burger was pretty bad. Oh yes, another point on the positive side, I got a house salad instead of french fries, and the salad was fantastic. Had some sesame seeds and cranberries in it that made it really delicious. I won't be back though. They simply must do better.

My cheeseburger on a sesame seed bun with green chilies, grilled onions, pepper, jack cheese, and all the accompaniments was probably one of the best burgers I've had in a very, very long time. Outstanding. My dining companion had her burger with green chilies and grilled onions and pepper jack cheese, and all the compliments served on a sopapilla bun.
