This will be long winded, but here goes: Blanca did my hair and make-up for my wedding and she was amazing! In wedding terms, I found her very last minute-- about two months before my wedding. She was quick to respond to my inquiries and scheduled a practice run promptly. The practice run went great for the hair. I had a vague idea of what I wanted and we worked together to figure it out and it turned out so so beautiful! There were some issues with the make-up since this is not her favorite thing to do, and I requested a very natural look. Once we figured out the issues, and I took a bit off, I loved it. The day-of make-up turned out much more to my liking and lasted well throughout the event. I also had her give my hair a trim since it needed it and since she was going to be styling my hair a month or so later, she could gauge how much to trim. For the trim, she listened and adjusted to my liking and it was once of the best haircuts I have had in a while-- giving me a choppy look vs. a blunt cut as I had been receiving at another salon. She even did an excellent job on my bangs which I am very picky about. I also felt very comfortable with her in the practice runs and especially in the day-of! She came to my house, which was where we were having the wedding, on time and ready to work. Day-of was pretty hectic as we had rental issues and general wedding hiccups. But she helped to keep me calm and was even very patient when I was ten or so minutes late to sit down. She did a two of my bridesmaids' hair first, the flower girl last, and even managed to squeeze in an extra friend. Very accommodating! I felt beautiful and my hair did not budge all night! We even went adventuring to take some photos and my hair stayed perfect. She is a master with bobby-pins! She also left me a touch-up goodie-bag, which i thought was sweet. She is awesome, sweet, fun, easy to talk to, willing to work with what you want, works fast when she needs to while still doing a great job, and I will be going back to her for future haircuts! read more

I had read the reviews on Yelp and then called Blanca. All the reviews are true. Blanca is an expert stylist and also a fantastic person. I was actually going to find a stylist in Galt but the business never returned my phone call. Blanca called me back and answered my question. I am so pleased with my hair color, cut and style. It's perfect. Not easy going to a new stylist as you never know what can happen, and I've experienced a number of bad cuts, etc. I've already booked my next appointment and will be a continuing client. Additionally, her work area is so nice. It's enclosed and private and they have a spa area in the other area. I will definitely be trying the spa in the future. read more

Blanca is absolutely amazing! I have literally no experience in hair or makeup, and really needed her help. She definitely delivered! My hair and makeup looked flawless, and all the while she was wonderful to talk to, great customer service. I start this post by saying, I did NOT do a wedding hair trial. NOPE. Did not. Part of it was that I wanted a pretty relaxed, braided, flowing down one side style, which sounded easy enough. Part of it was that I didn't have time to sit to have my hair done for no reason. And part of me just didn't feel like it. My wedding MUA Angela Womack brought Blanca with her on our wedding day. When you find that perfect hair stylist... Blanca takes time to listen to what I'm seeking in color and cut. She puts the reality check into what can or shouldn't be done -since after all, she is the experienced one. As a brunette, I constantly tried to add light to my hair from a box, my hair was dry, brittle, and aged. Blanca worked with it, trimmed it back to health and lightened it without it looking frayed and helpless. My hair is now very shiny, bouncy, and has the lights in it that I wanted. Blanca is professional.....read all the other reviews. They are totally right. She cuts my hair wet, then dries it and recuts it dry just to make sure that it is perfect. I've never had anyone do that and it is amazing. She always takes her time. I never feel like I am being rushed so she can be onto the next client. When she is working with you, you are 100% her focus. But Blanca is also so fun! She tells stories, gives advice and just chats you up like you have been old friends forever. I found Blanca here on yelp while I was searching for a new hairdresser, as always I check reviews to help guide me towards making the best decision, I stumbled across Blanca Martins yelp page and was amazed at how much she was loved not only as a hair dresser but as a friend as well. I called to schedule an appointment, Blanca was able to get me and my two daughters in for a haircut the upcoming weekend (I called on a Thursday), to me this is great, I mean who want to wait 2-4 weeks for a haircut? Not me. We arrived Saturday for our haircuts, The atmosphere of the salon is inviting and welcoming, they offer coffee, water and tea, Blanca has her own comfortable and spacious private area. We were greeted immediately, Blanca washed our hair did layers on my 2 daughters and my hair she did an amazing blowout on my hair!!(Best as of yet) Blanca was personable kept a great conversation with my kids and me.
