[[HIGHLIGHT]]I scheduled an appointment with this place on Saturday for an appointment for Tuesday. I hear nothing from them and I get a confirmation text for my appointment so I assume that I can go to my appointment with no issue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I then get a text from Devon at one in the freaking morning telling me she has an emergency and she needs to reschedule our appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I understand people have emergencies but people also have teams to make sure that their clients are taken care of. your emergency does not constitute me rearranging my schedule and my day off to work around you and to reschedule for another day[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I'd rather not give my business to someone who cannot handle it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I texted her back, she didn't reply and when I called, it went to voicemail. Very very unprofessional[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Found her on google first place did not do a good job it turn out blotchy with 2 tone and was told it cant be achieve which i didn't like. [[HIGHLIGHT]]So I went on google and found her told her my hair color i want and she was able to do it for me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went from a warm 2 tone color to a beige blonde color. Which I love love it and she was able to complete it for me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really sweet and lovely stylist.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would recommend you to go to her a 5/5 star.

I found Devon on social media through one of her promotion posts, and it immediately caught my attention. I booked an appointment with her for highlights and a root retouch. I have grey hair and wanted to cover and blend it, but my previous hair was very porous, brassy, and orange--it made me look tired and washed out. Devon took her time to explain everything and made sure I felt comfortable. She truly gave her best effort on my hair. After about three hours, I walked out with shiny, beautifully blended highlights using a new technique I had never seen before--but it worked amazingly on my hair! When I got home, my family said my hair looked great, and at work, so many of my coworkers complimented me on how fresh and glowing I looked. I couldn't be happier with the results. If you're looking for highlights or balayage, I highly recommend Devon. She will take the time, use her expertise, and you'll definitely walk out shining with confidence!

Devon was AMAZING! No other words for it. I called her and asked if she could take a same day highlight and cut. She fit me in no problem. I got there and she was welcoming and her space is clean and comfortable! We talked about what I wanted, she listened and commented about what would work and she asked questions to see WHY I liked certain things, and she took it from there. A cut, wash, highlight, and color later - my hair was healthy, happy, and was STUNNING. Her prices are fair and she uses quality products on hair. (And as a bonus she makes a record of what she does so if you like it she has everything ready for the next appointment!) I'll absolutely be returning!

Devon truly transformed my hair, and I'm so grateful I found her. After years of black box dye and lots of gray regrowth, my hair was extremely uneven with multiple tones. She spent over five hours doing a careful color correction to lift the dark dye and even everything out while keeping my hair healthy. The results are amazing--my color now blends beautifully, my grays are seamlessly blended, and the highlights and lowlights add so much dimension. This is my first time meeting Devon. I love her little studio - its super cute! I showed her some inspo videos and pics I found on Instagram. My cut was simple and I didn't need color done. I just needed a trim to my collar bone but still keep long layers so I can put my hair in a ponytail. I also have thick hair. She was able to take the bulk down and my layers are perfectly where I want them. My ponytail even looks cute and sporty!! I literally wear my hair in a ponytail for work everyday bc I have to, so this is oddly important for me lol. Anyway, sweet lady, great service, quick and easy. Usually, salons nowadays won't even let you lift your hair this light in 1 session, but Devon was able to make it happen. Me and my mom rarely have time to go to a hair salon together so when we have some free time today on our trip to Elk Grove, we decided to try out a fairly new local studio and Devon did not disappoint at all! My mom's hair was ruined a few days ago by another hairstylist in San Diego and Devon saved it by fixing the hair shape and trim her hair a bit to make it look really neat. Best hair cut I've had for a very long time!!! First of all, I have thick long hair and every time I get a trim, I always ask for lots of volume and layers however I want to keep the length. No stylist I have gone to in the Elk Grove area has ever DELIVERED until I met Devon!!! Wowwwwwwww just look at the pictures!! She gave me everything I want for someone with my hair type. Devon is very responsive and I greatly appreciate her squeezing me in on short notice as I am a first-time client traveling through the Sacramento area. I received a cut (layers), balayage, toner, and style. I LOVE the results -- my hair looks gorgeous and feels transformed with great dimension. She was able to lift up to level ~8-9 and tone to a cooler shade without damaging the strands. I also appreciate the tips on after-care and maintenance afterwards. Devon was amazing! I gave her one picture of what I was envisioning for my first ever highlight experience and she knew exactly how to modify the picture in a way that would work for ME! I didn't know anything about color choice or how much highlight to use or what hair cut would be best. I fully trusted her in the process and it turned out amazing! Balayage by Devon. This took almost 3 hours. You have to book a reservation in advance. It's located inside her house (which she converted to a salon like vibe) but no public restroom so be prepared to use the restroom before you start your appointment. The price is $250 for the balayage and cash preferred (venmo accepted). My first time with her and so far a good experience. She listens to you and responds to you quickly-just text her. read more

Wow! What can I say. As a lady who wears a head cover (hijab), I'm always worried about men seeing me while I'm getting a haircut. Her salon is located in her house and has an access from the walkway in the front yard. She's very warm and calm, knows what she's doing and what suits your face. Sounds funny, but eh, at least I don't have the mushroom top head look. My thick hair and the cut I want is not an easy hair cut to do. The description sounds funny, but with gel it's a clean military look or akin to school kids going to grade school. Not my thing but, the maturity aura can be fixed with longer hair on top. Believe the best way to say is it that I have a heart shaped face. That means the top of my hair should look like an egg to my preference. The haircut I want isn't for the faint. Mess up and you cannot fix it. It's why most fades on my hair type sticks out and is not flat on the sides like a flat top. Once Mindy understood I was willing to take the risk, I was rewarded in something that many hairdressers cannot cut and or is willing to do. Which is to fade free hand, then rat tail comb fade the edges on top with a clipper and texture with scissors. Mind you I watched a long time before giving her the go ahead to take the risk. Sounds a lot of work right? Hair dressers will complain doing this type of cut. It's a lot of work, will take time. Mindy does this for me. And for that I tip well. To be fair, I get my hair cut once a month. But it's usually the best way to learn as the hair has grown out and everything needs to be redone again. Note. Tip what you can, I usually tip hourly wage max to half. Mindy gets more, that's how much I like the cut. 15 to 25 percent minimum wage is a good tip. That being said Mindy takes time, is patient, and remembers you. Everything you would want in a hairdresser. I really should come every two weeks but I got things to do. Mindy does textbook style hair cutting. Which doesn't work with my hair cause you don't really expect an Asian with an Afro like hair type, thick, and straight. Takes time to learn cultured hair types. My hair is a rarity. Mindy learned quickly how to cut and tame it. Qualities of a true hair dresser. Note. I got my hair cut by Lynn too. She's good, but she's busy and I believe she understands my haircut and hair is annoying to do. The guy and new girl are good too. Just a preference and patience to be had.

(I know - I need another pedicure soon. lol) I will say the price was a little bit costly compared to other places I have been, however, that may be because we selected one of the highest packages. Either way, my mother enjoyed the shop and even upon leaving the guy at the register, welcomed us to come back by giving us a 10% off our next service coupon. I will say due to the friendly staff, the clean environment and all of the safety protocols that they take to make sure that you get a clean experience, I would definitely visit the shop again. It's definitely worth the visit.

I had my hair done in a small town and it turned out horrible. I was unsatisfied. I had 3 l to 4 different colors in my hair after it was done. I couldn't put my hair up or down because there was so much spots and bands. I was in desperate needs to get my hair fixed and reach out to Devon in Elk Grove to see if she schedule me in to get it fix. She was very nice and message me back right away. She asked about my hair history and what was done to it. She told me she will call me after her customer and talk to me in more detail. She did just that! She contact me later that night and was very understanding. She had put me down on her schedule that was convenient for me. I didn't know if my hair could be fix but after she was done explaining everything in detail, I had trust. Every step of the way, she kindly explained what she was doing. I am beyond happy with my Japanese Permanent Hair Straightening experience! I came in with very thick, very coarse hair and a LOT of hair, and I always struggled to manage it. I wanted something permanent that would make my hair easier to style and help me feel pretty and confident again. After about 3.5 hours, Devon completely transformed my hair. The result is beautifully straight, incredibly smooth, and so shiny. My hair feels light, healthy, and easy to manage -- something I've never had before. It was my first time getting my hair full blonde back in the States, after a year of growing out my blonde hair from when I got it done in Asia. I had one years growth of the darkest black hair and blonde hair that turned orange after no maintenance, I understood it would have been difficult to take on, but Devon rose up to the challenge. She accepted my appointment the day after I requested last minute to see her ASAP, on such short notice. Devon is talented and phenomenal, she listened to my needs and both met my expectations and went above and beyond to make my hair look as natural as possible! It looks as if I had full virgin hair to start with, there's no evidence of my old orange hair. I would strongly caution anyone considering this stylist. My mother went in for a simple highlight refill and was given a clear price estimate of $86.00 beforehand. When it came time to pay, she was charged over $200--no warning, no discussion, and no approval. That kind of pricing is completely unacceptable and feels outright deceptive. Even worse, the results were terrible. She went in to maintain her highlights and left with hair that looked worse than before. This was not a complicated service, yet the outcome was sloppy and far below basic expectations. Between the inflated pricing and the poor quality of work, this experience showed a serious lack of professionalism and honesty. I found Devon Art Hair Studio on Google when searching for one of the Best salons in Sacramento, and I'm so happy I did. My hair was very complicated with many different tones and about 70% gray, so I was really worried about how it would turn out. Devon was very patient and professional. It was my first time ever to go to this salon.. was a bit hesitant at first because most salons I got to often don't get my hair or color right..but the lady/owner who did my hair did an amazing job on my hair probably better then most of the salons I went. So, I Leaving a 5 star for my review here for Devon who did my GF hair. Originally My Girlfriend only had a haircut appointment with Devon but she were able to give my girlfriend babylights as well. Devon is amazing! I don't let anyone else touch my hair! Been going to her for more than 2 years now and every session she gets my hair just right! I get so many complaints on my hair, one of my coworkers told me, "Wow, the color flows so perfectly." I originally had my hair cut into an A-line by a local hair stylist, which turned into a chunky and uneven mess. I had to find another hair stylist to fix it, and I found Devon. She did an amazing job fixing my A-line! She thinned out the chunky layers and cut them in a way in which they blended together. She angled out my A-line and listened to my concerns about my hair.
