    Vanilla latte and danish

I really enjoy coming here. I always get a hot vanilla latte and it tastes the same no matter who makes it. The service is sweet, everyone is always so kind and smiley. This location is pretty chill and the music is good (not too loud, not too low). A good place to catch up on some reading.

Blanchard's is an RVA favorite for coffee. This was my first time visiting this location and I adored it. It felt so cozy. I don't know how to say this any other way, but walking inside really felt like a community. This location is closest to VCU, so there were plenty of students working on their laptops as well as other people meeting up for some cafe drinks. I love the interior design of this spot. It has amazing natural lighting. There are seating options available both inside and on their outside patio. There is also a very tiny park right next to the shop that you can sit at. The service is great here and you're greeted with a warm smile. As always, I love Blanchard's seasonal drinks. On this visit, I got the miso brown sugar latte and really enjoyed the mix between sweet and savory. I loved visiting this location. It felt extra romantic with all the fall trees complimenting the red color of the store. I highly recommend visiting.

Do I have a new favorite RVA coffeeshop? Damn right I do! This one has such a nuanced vibe to it - like a mix between an old timey diner and an old car repair shop if that makes sense? But it makes coffee? Like how cool. Beautiful interior, $1 coffee deal is an absolute STEAL, and it's delicious. Felt authentic, homey, and somewhere I can't wait to frequent. Quick service too.

Blanchard's is about the vibe. Inside a retro-looking building, it photographs beautifully. Their coffee menu is simple, but good. I enjoyed the hazelnut latte and my wife liked their chai latte. They often have seasonal drinks on the menu.

New fav Richmond coffee shop!! This is the cutest, cozy, light-filled Blanchard's location. I love the cafeteria-style community table and variety of outdoor seating too. The garage door windows are such a vibe. I got an oat milk latte and not only were the cups so cute but it was delicious!! Not a ton of seating options or plugs for working but a great spot to meet up with a friend for coffee.

Blanchard's is a great, reliable cup of joe at good pricing. I'm a big coffee snob and I think their espresso is very well-balanced - I usually get an oat milk latte and we also tried the Miso Brown Sugar latte with oat milk as well - yum! It was sweet without being cloying and the miso added a subtle, unique twist. The place is usually crowded, but the vibe is calm/casual and there's seating outside. The staff are always friendly/helpful too, so we definitely recommend - we'll usually stop by after picking up Nate's Bagels :)

I prefer this Blanchard's location over the W Broad location! The vibe and aesthetic of this is super welcoming and cozy. The outdoor has plenty of seating, probably about 5 picnic tables. I tried the chai tea latte and it was SO GOOD.

I got a flavored latte (hot). I honestly don't even remember the flavor combo even though I was there a month ago, but I remember liking it. I got my coffee to go and walked around the neighborhood, enjoying the cute houses nearby and seeing part of the campus. If I were a college student, I'd be there all the time. I don't live in Richmond but I liked it enough that I'd go back next time I'm in town or recommend to a friend if they are visiting Richmond.

The coffee was absolutely delicious! I got an oat milk latte, and the it milk they used was much better than what most other coffee shops use. The interior is also adorable. My favorite of the locations!

Cute atmosphere. Perfect for a nice day, there is shaded seating outdoors, and it is located right next to a small park where you can also enjoy your drinks. The coffee itself is on point, definitely a must try in RVA. The seasonal flavors are so fun, and the coffee is always high quality and hits the spot.

Unfortunately, there wasn't even a changing table available. Instead, I was stopped and loudly reprimanded by a large, intimidating male employee in front of a line full of customers because I had apparently "used the wrong door" and "skipped the line." When I explained that I needed to use the restroom before ordering, I was told I should have used the other entrance -- despite the fact that the door I was directed toward had a clearly posted sign saying "Please Use Other Door." The entire interaction was humiliating and completely unnecessary. No customer, especially a mother carrying a baby, should be publicly shamed over something so minor and confusing. To make matters worse, the bathroom itself was filthy. Even if I had attempted to change my daughter on the floor due to the lack of a changing station, it would have felt unsanitary and unsafe. Businesses love to say they support women and families, but too often mothers are treated like an inconvenience the moment they actually need basic accommodation and decency.

They roast single origin coffees onsite and sell them in completely biodegradable pods, which only stay on their shelves for up to 30 days so the coffee always tastes super fresh. They are not like other biodegradable pods you may see for sale elsewhere, these actually ensure you get a fantastic cup of coffee each time. I started talking to the baristas, Lisa and Anastasia, and shared that I used to work for Starbucks and was amazed how the same coffee could taste completely different if it was prepared differently. Lisa promptly took out two bags of coffee and prepared a pour over of each. They were the same beans, but roasted at different temperatures. She gave tastes to me and another customer. It was amazing how different the coffees tasted, and they even had different colors. It was such a cool experience! I bought a box of Columbia medium roast pods, which I've been enjoying every day this week. They have several coffees available to try, along with pastries and made to order sandwiches. It's located in an industrial area, off the main road, but is well worth the trip if you're looking for some delicious coffee. It's become my go to coffee roaster in the Richmond area.

So much to love about this new discovery besides the fact that it's NOT a Starbucks lol and for those that know me, you know I love and love to support and discover tucked away indie coffee places (see my reviews!). This place is also a roastery and sells their own bean blends. I don't know the history behind the shop and name but was told it is chemistry themed and owned by W&M alum - yassssss! Service is SUPER friendly and excellent so that's a bonus! I lovvvvvvve that the latte menu is chock full of super creative seasonal flavors - so many to choose from!! I stopped by twice while in town and staying just down the street. Had a hot Rose Macaron latte and the next day had the Lemon Bar. Both were DELICIOUS. NOT OVERLY SWEET BUT WITH SUBTLE FLAVORS AND BOLD ESPRESSO TASTE. NOTTTTTT WIMPY WEAK. Both days I had the OG Bacon Egg Cheese sando on an ET bagel that was a decent accompaniment to my seasonal lattes which were clearly the stars of the show. I was there during the week - once mid afternoon, the other day late morning and it was not crowded at all both days. The seating area is HUGE. 2 separate adjacent rooms - walk through the front ordering area and you'll find a large, super cozy and inviting "living room" type space with comfy couches, armchairs, dining tables with chairs and even cubes for studying. Dark and moody vibes. SUPER COZY, RELAXING AND KEPT VERY CLEAN AND TIDY. The other seating area has a bunch of tables and chairs, lots of windows, brighter and more conducive for gathering. I took and posted a bunch of pics and some vids so check them out. So glad to have discovered this coffee spot and gem! Will definitely be back when I visit Williamsburg again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
