It was my first time at this location. The skinny spicy margarita was great which it should be for $15!! Chips and salsa were good! The chicken pastor tacos were missing the salsa verde. Not the fusion of flavors I usually expect with tacos at a better Mexican restaurant. I asked for charro beans and got black beans. The rice was wet and flavorless and nobody at our table ate it. Came here with friends that we just picked up from the airport. I knew bringing them to a fox restaurant would be a hit because they always do such a great job. I was wrong this time. We were sat out in the patio, and the server took about 15 minutes to even aknowledge our arrival. We then ordered drinks about 5 minutes before our appetizer. Our appetizer came out well before our drinks becuase the server said the bar was way too backed up. We finally ordered our food and it came out relatively fast which would explain the messy presentation that was not up to what we all know as Fox Standards. After dinner, the patio had cleared out for the most part, and a large party walked in and was assigned to our server. That was the last time we saw her. She dropped our check half way through us eating. It was dropped at 8:13pm, and by 8:20 we had payment ready. We waited around for her and by 9:10 we had not seen her again. Meet up with a group on Friday before a graduation ceremony, we sat at the open bar area , which was very nice , tv all around to watch sport games , was very impressed with the bar service, they were very attentive to our orders , which were all margaritas . They were very good , got mine frozen, we always go to a Mexican restaurant by our house and get margaritas, these margaritas served blew those away, wish we had a Blanco closer. Stayed at a hotel nearby and wanted something within walking distance for dinner and came across this little gem. The menu features tasty margaritas and yummy entrees. We ordered the short rib cheese crisp and a chicken tinga chimichanga. The short rib cheese crisp looked like a pizza and was sooo good! The chicken tinga chimichanga was also very flavorful. The cocktails were very tasty and refreshing in the Tempe heat. Our service was amazing and we adored our cute little blonde waitress. So sorry, that I didn't catch her name. The food was delicious, but the service left a lot to be desired. At first everything started off well -- we were greeted quickly and served chips and salsa. After we ordered, though, we sat for over 20 minutes with no updates, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Our server began to avoid us, and I eventually had to flag her down just to get some water. When she finally came back, she admitted that she had just put our order in. She gave a vague explanation about the kitchen being backed up, then oddly started talking about another table behind us, making comments about them "smelling like weed" and being "probably high." It was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and unnecessary. The rest of the interaction continued to feel awkward. She repeatedly offered us free tea or lemonade, but by that point we just wanted our food and to wrap things up. At the end, she dropped the bill on our table, said "I'll split it however you want," and walked away without much care. Overall, the food was great, but the service was so unprofessional and uncomfortable that it overshadowed the experience. I wouldn't recommend this place based on the service alone, which is disappointing given how good the food was. doesn't give us time to say anything but whatever cool. There's 4 of us so we put 3 cards and a 20 and we were waiting for her to come back and a different person comes and grabs it and we weren't able to explain how we wanted it and she didn't come to clarify and long story short she obviously messed up the bill and we all paid for the wrong stuff and just was all around not a pleasant experience. Moral of the story just need to more professional and be more vocal about what going on. If food is backed up and stuff is going on i promise you we would've understood but it was the fact she was avoided us at first and it took me to call her over for her then to say something. read more

I had the good ol Modelo! Chips are thick, salsa is good. Then we ordered queso dip and mango cerviche. Queso dip was not very warm. Cerviche was the best thing we ate! Solid As for dinner my wife had the short rib bowl - and I had the short rib chimi enchilada style Both good. So I have been looking forward to going to Blanco as I had seen it on Fox 10 news. We ended up in Tempe after not being able to get into the Bernie Sanders, AOC town hall. So we went to Blanco in Tempe. We were seated right away. Our server came to our table and we ordered, I ordered the shrimp pablano enchiladas. Our food came out about 30 min later. I tried mine and realized they were chicken enchiladas and they were cold. I mentioned this to our server and said I had ordered the shrimp pablano enchilada's. She apologized and said she would put in an order for the shrimp pablano enchiladas. The manager came out like 15 min later and said so sorry here are your pork enchilada's. Ok. again not what I ordered. Meantime while we were waiting for what I had ordered, we ordered another drink. It was at least 20 min from the time we ordered our drink to when we received them. Long story short. Everyone I was with were completely done with their dinner and I still had not gotten mine. I was so ok with them just taking the charge for my enchiladas off the bill. But then they bring us our drinks. Mine was so watered down because it sat up at the bar for so long and by no everyone just wanted to go. I submitted a Door Dash order for Blanco a few days in advance so that we could get it delivered at a certain time only to have Door Dash cancel the order 30 minutes before it was supposed to be picked up. Bella at Blanco was a total Rock Star. Her and her manager were able to find the canceled group order and have the seven meals made so I could come pick up myself and get to the meeting they were for. I cannot thank Bella enough for all her help. She even helped me carry everything to my car. I will definitely be ordering again from this location, just not utilizing Door Dash to do so. I understand it's a new restaurant but at the end of the day it's a Fox restaurant and there's certain standards that should be met. To begin, no one came to our table for 10 minutes, after I went to the host stand it took another 5 minutes, making it 15 minutes before a server came over. Making it so that we did even receive drinks for 20 minutes. Not to mention the place was practically empty!Our entree and appetizer were also brought out at the same time which is okay but not ideal as we didn't want either to get cold. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito and was surprised to find rice in it, to preface I've been a consistent costumer to the other Blanco locations for over a decade, so this was unusual. The server checked with the manager and a chef and said it was normal, but upon checking with the head chef they realized that rice was not commonly put in it. The server also realizing the food mix up and the slow service went to get the manager, and he did not come for 20 minutes. They took the burrito off the check, which I am thankful for, but this was an overall disappointing experience as such a long time customer. I hope they fix these problems because I love Blanco and this location definitely has A LOT to learn! read more
