The classic overpriced Arizona "trendy" spot. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough to warrant one. We waited about 20 minutes just to have our table cleared, despite multiple visibly dirty tables sitting untouched the entire time. After finally being seated, it took another 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us--no menus, no silverware, not even water. To make matters worse, there were flies everywhere, likely because at least five nearby tables hadn't been bussed for what looked like hours. It made the whole environment feel unhygienic and poorly managed. This place leans heavily into the "trendy" bar vibe, but unfortunately seems to use ambiance as a crutch to justify $20 cocktails and subpar service. Aesthetic only goes so far--basic hospitality and cleanliness shouldn't be optional. Skip this one no doubt.

Cutest atmosphere. Our waitress was very helpful and recommended some very delicious drinks and foods. The outside seating looks perfect for the evening since it's AZ and hot right now. We tried the salsa plate with added guacamole, Calabacitas taco, shrimp taco( delicious) carne asada taco, fish taco and Sonora hot dog. Everything tasted amazing!! I can't wait to come back and try more. The Marigold margarita is so refreshing and delicious full of flavor

Sonoran-inspired dining experience with a fun indoor-outdoor vibe overlooking the Grass Clippings Rolling Hills golf course. The atmosphere is relaxed, social, and perfect for a lunch meeting or group hangout. The menu is simple. While some dishes get mixed feedback on consistency, the overall flavor profile is bold and enjoyable. Didn't order any of their drinks, but heard good things. Service was great, with multiple servers checking in on our table. Overall great experience!

Stopped in to watch the final four game and lucked out getting a table without a reservation! It was definitely both inside and outside, but there were plenty of TVs for us to see the game. My husband and I started with the Sonoran quesadillas which are served cheese roll-up style. We both ordered tacos, which are packed full of me! I ordered the chicken tacos which came topped with grilled pineapple and cilantro, such a good balance of flavors. I ordered a side of the refried beans which had a unique charred flavor.

A couple of years ago, I went to Grass Clippings after hearing they had night golf. I was genuinely excited--but the experience was not very good. In fact, my original Yelp review was blunt, which should tell you just how far off the mark it felt at the time. Aside from the food truck--which was genuinely good--there was little else to redeem the experience, and I left convinced I'd never return. Fast forward to last night... after attending Phoenix ZooLights with close friends--new parents to a 9-month-old and both very well respected in the Valley's restaurant industry--they suggested Glenrosa. As we pulled up, I was honestly surprised--in the best way. First, the food was very good and reasonably priced. Service was friendly, attentive, and courteous throughout the evening. We had the fish tacos, beet salad, milanesa (made better with the green, non-spicy salsa), fundido, spicy shrimp ceviche, and wings--all very good. Looking out from the restaurant, I was shocked by how much the course had changed. The views were great, the setting was enjoyable, and it was truly a night-and-day difference from my first visit. My buddy joked, "You're already imagining playing here again, aren't you?" He was right. I told him my original experience felt like playing golf at a trailer park--this felt like a completely different place. Bottom line: My wife and I will definitely be back for the food. And yes, I'm giving the golf course a second shot. Credit where it's due--this place has evolved in a very real way.

If you're looking for a spot with a beautiful ambiance, outdoor seating, and stellar sunset views, Glenrosa will be your new fav spot. That said, the main food items fell a bit short for me and they were definitely on the $$$ side. The Two Wash Ranch Smoked Chicken was really dry, and the mole had a much smokier flavor profile than I'm used to. The Mercado Salad was also not my favorite, since it came across super bitter. What I would go back for? The chips and salsa, and the Mom's Spa Day cocktail. Every salsa was bursting with flavor, the chips were fresh and perfectly crisp, and that cocktail was both refreshing and beautifully presented. To top it off, the service was outstanding, which made the whole experience much more enjoyable despite the main dish misses.

This is a great casual place! The margs, tacos an guac were 5 unfortunately the tres leches tasted like it was a week old and the cheese dip was very odd. Loved trying it and would come back for tacos and margs!!

Stopped by Glenrosa for a solo dinner and had Alexa as my server, she was absolutely lovely. Super sweet, attentive, and had great recommendations that made me feel well taken care of. The food itself was good, but to be honest, not quite worth the price. You're mostly paying for the view, which is stunning, the golf course backdrop makes for a gorgeous setting. But if you're looking for a foodie experience, this probably isn't it. It seems better suited for a group hangout or a happy hour stop with friends. I could also see it being a decent spot to grab a drink and small bite before a flight or after a round of golf. As a solo dinner spot, though? I wouldn't recommend it. Great vibes, solid drinks, and an amazing server but overall, more about the ambiance than the food.

Came here on a busy Wednesday when they just recently opened. Seemed that they were a bit understaffed as service was slow and they were probably trying to settle down. The food was subpar but I would give them the benefit of the doubt that they were not prepared yet. Sandwich was a bit dry and the tacos were just mediocre as nothing stood out about them and they were a bit cold. Their seating outside was nice especially with the view of the golf course.

The carne asada tacos were so delicious. I am already planning my second trip back to this establishment. The customer service was good and I was seated quickly. I did go close to 9pm which is closing time. If you're a golfer, make sure you stop for a bite after you play the course. I got the margarita and Paloma and out of the two, my favorite was the Paloma. A good appetizer to try before your meal is the queso and fresh tortillas. It paired so good together especially with the chorizo.

We stopped in here last weekend for a friend's private even at the outside bar area. There were a couple of younger female bartenders there that tended us, and they were phenomenal all around. Always wore a smile, attentive, friendly and gave a couple of great meal recommendations. The drinks were tasty and the food came out perfect. Thank you for an enjoyable afternoon!

This is a cute spot and probably a great place to grab a drink or food after golfing, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. My friends and I met for dinner and I ordered a spicy margarita, we ordered chips and guac to share, and I ordered the fish tacos. The spicy margarita was pretty standard house margarita mix with a hint of jalapeño. The serving of chips and guac was sad -- there were 5 of us I think we each got a tablespoon and a half of guac and had several leftover chips, even though those were served in an individual-sized bowl too. For the tacos, we asked if we could mix / match, and we were told that they can do that at lunch but not for dinner (I don't know that I understand the difference). I ended up ordering the fish, and trading with a friend who got the pork belly. The tacos were good, but not particularly flavorful or unique. Again, the serving sizes were kind of sad, including the rice and beans. The service was good, and everything came out quickly; our guac actually came out while the waitress was still taking the rest of our orders.

My family and I ordered family style so we can try everything. For starters, we ordered the milk bread, fire roasted bone marrow, spicy peanut and tomato salad, and the tuna pineapple ceviche. I might say this multiple times in my review, but the food was very delicious and the description of the food was very interesting however it all blended so good in my mouth. The milk bread was topped with a miso tomato butter with almond and kalamata. Sounds interesting right? But when you actually tasted it, it was delicious! Who knew to bring such ingredients together to make this?! The softness of the bread and the saltiness from the butter complimented it so well! The fire roasted bone marrow was served with sourdough toast with a jalapeno marmalade with demi sauce. I never had bone marrow, however I met people who either liked it or choose not to try it, but this time I decided to try it. Who knew how soft and buttery bone marrow was?! The spicy peanut and tomato salad was very refreshing, however I wished it was a little bigger in size. The dressing was a peanut dressing, similar to a thai peanut dressing salad. The tuna pineapple ceviche had pineapple with tuna served with plantain chips. It was hot in Arizona and this dish kept it very refreshing to eat. For entrees, my family and I ordered the lemongrass half chicken, campfire seabass, ancho chili glazed pork chop, and the bone in ribeye. The lemon grass chicken was served with carrots and garlic mashed potatoes with jalapeno jam. The chicken was so juicy and you can taste the lemon grass marinated in the chicken. Again, jalapeno jam? What a genius! The campfire seabass was in this chorizo broth along with couscous and vegetables. I honestly can not review much regarding the campfire seabass because I didn't taste, but per my grandma she said it was really good haha! The ancho chili glazed pork chop was surprisingly not dry! I don't really eat pork chops, but our server recommended it and she did not disappoint! The bone in ribeye was delicious!! Super juicy and flavorful! It was served with baby potatoes, arugula, and chimichurri. Filthy animal is definitely a fun spot, the decor inside made the whole ambiance very intimate.

Our visit started out poorly because we spent 30 minutes driving around looking for a place to park. The front desk sent us to a valet that didn't exist and we almost left. My husband persisted and we finally found a spot. But it took way too long driving around in circles. After that drama, We had a pretty fast dinner but I really enjoyed it. First drinks. My husband got a cocktail. I wanted to order a mocktail but they didn't have a mocktail menu or any non alcoholic drinks anywhere. The waiter tried to describe them but that didn't work. Please get a menu. Ended up with lemonade bc I didn't know what to order. We ordered the tuna ceviche appetizer with plantain chips. I don't normally order things with chips but It was delicious! Great spicy kick and definitely the best thing I ate. Loved it. For dinner I ordered the lamb. I also really enjoyed this so much. The lamb was delicious (a bit unseasoned though). Also the garbanzo dish that came with it was unbelievably great! I was actually amazed that a side could be so good and I just wanted more of it. My husband ordered the seabass. Unfortunately it was underseasoned and way overcooked. The side wasn't great either. He ended up eating one of my lamb pieces. The vibe of the restaurant was great and the waiter was helpful and friendly. Will return if I ever want to brave the parking situation again ! Side note for the business: the door on your last bathroom stall was installed backwards. I struggled inside bc there was no hook for my purse or sweater when I went in there. After I was done precariously balancing all my things on my lap, I found the hook outside the door (I checked and the other doors were installed correctly). Probably should fix that bc it was very annoying for women that need access to their purse in the bathroom.

It's the kind of restaurant that makes getting dressed up feel exciting and worth it, and I absolutely loved that about the experience. Everyone was friendly, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling overbearing. The service honestly matched the upscale atmosphere perfectly and made the whole experience feel even more polished. And OMG... the food. SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. Like genuinely one of those meals where every single bite makes you pause for a second because it tastes that incredible. I got the chicken orzo along with the lime icebox cake for dessert, and both were absolutely amazingggg. The chicken orzo was phenomenal. The lemon flavor throughout the orzo was bright, fresh, and flavorful without being overpowering, and the tomatoes were the PERFECT addition because they balanced everything so well and added a little sweetness and freshness to the dish. But the chicken... wow. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside while still being super juicy and tender inside, which is honestly hard to do. Every component of the dish worked together perfectly. Magnificent is genuinely the best word for it. And the lime icebox cake was the perfect ending to the meal, refreshing, creamy, flavorful, and not too heavy after dinner. Honestly, I'm sitting here craving the food again just looking back at the pictures I took. This is definitely one of those restaurants that sticks in your mind long after you leave.

The restaurant itself is very cute and clearly designed for photos, which matches what I saw on their Instagram. Service overall was fantastic. The food, however, was just okay. I ordered the burrata and fig plate and was told they'd replace the bread with apple slices. I received five very small slices of apple, and when the plate was set down the waitress said she'd get more if needed. I later noticed I was charged $2 for an additional five slices, which together didn't even amount to half an apple. Ironically, the bread that comes with the dish would have been far more substantial. The burrata was fine, but nothing memorable. My friend ordered the chicken and brussels sprouts and didn't even finish it before having the plate taken away. The flourless almond cake was the star, a bit salty on its own, but with the ice cream and whipped cream it was a delightful combo which were the highlight. Overall, this is a great spot for cocktails, ambiance, and photos, but the food is fairly mediocre compared to the setting.

The shrimp cerviche with fried plantains, blue corn tortilla chips, lime, cilantro and cucumber pico de gallo was ok but not remarkable. Our final selection was the Gaucho spiced skirt steak with chimichurri, and masa potato cakes. The steak was overcooked, not medium rare, bland taste and tough. The potato cake was tasteless. The restaurant is trendy, stylish, and undeniably cute. I especially got a kick out of the little lamps on the tables that turn red when you want a tableside martini. We aren't drinkers, but I thought it was a fun and clever touch. One thing that surprised me right away was that bread wasn't included. Instead, we were served some crunchy snacks to munch on. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I'd much rather have warm bread. It feels simpler, tastier, and more welcoming. For appetizers, we ordered the burrata and calamari. Both were tasty, but the peppers in the calamari packed a serious punch. I wish there had been a little warning about the spice level because it definitely caught me off guard. Then again, I suppose anything called "Sexy Roman" has to bring a little heat. For dinner, we shared the chicken parm and the lobster pasta. The chicken parm was decent, though I found the chicken a bit tough. The lobster pasta was flavorful and well prepared, but once again, quite spicy. At least that time we knew what we were getting into. Service was fine, but not exceptional. I was inhaling water to cool down from all the spice and had to ask for refills multiple times, which felt like an easy thing to stay ahead of. In the end, there wasn't anything terrible about the experience. The food was good, the atmosphere was fun, and the concept is unique. But between the high prices, smaller portions, and service that didn't quite match the upscale vibe, I don't think we'll be rushing back.

My friends had the margarita pizza and they said there's was also delicious, some of the best pizza they've had. They had games on the patio and plenty of seating. However, the service from our waitress was very disappointing. My husband, grandson, and I were dining, and since we had our grandson with us it was getting late. When she brought the bill, we tried to hand her our payment method, but she completely ignored us and walked away. It wasn't busy enough to excuse that, and she never acknowledged our request. Again, the food was great as usual, but the customer service tonight was very disappointing.
