Just last Friday we went to the Blarney Stone for a retirement party, I believe they limited the public to come in for the group attending the event. I liked the room and atmosphere but my issues were with the food that was brought out. Pan of chicken with sterno to keep it warm, as I noticed there wasn't a water bath between the chicken and the sterno and there wasn't the scent of burning aluminum and I brought that to their attention and eventually the chicken was replaced. Then had the same issue with the chicken wings with the burnt pans and brought that to the attention however nothing was fixed. I'm a sucker for Bangers and Mash. It's sort of what I think of as comfort food. And it did not disappoint at Blarney Stone. The mustard as a side and the extra bottle of stoneground mustard is a welcome addition to the meal. It's a generous helping and I didn't wait long between ordering and receiving the meal. There was a musician working on his sounds check as I left and he sounded good. I wasn't blown away with any particular component, but overall, happy. We've been a number of times now and we really like this place. The food and service is pretty consistent. Its a little slow, but that's ok. They make decent drinks and they're very friendly. Its actually a lot like a European pub in a lot of ways. Its very cute inside, theres a nice mix of tables and high tops. There's a numbe of tables that can accommodate some really big groups as well. There's a small stage for nights when they have performances as well. The food is very tasty and what you would expect for an American interpretation of an Irish Pub. read more

Went to the Blarney Stone last night after their mini re-opening. The menu was much better than before but surprising no Irish faire. We actually went for a Harp and Smithwicks and some shepherds pie. Got the former, but not the latter. No Irish music happening.
