Closed for the last couple of years and newly opened. The staff was great and the food was above average for a bar menu. The place looks like it was mainly just painted for upgrades from pre renovation. A good dive vibe. Didn't appreciate the credit card fees and nickel and dime menu. However, enjoyed checking out this place. Only 2 refills for soft drinks and bottled tea - big negatives.

Before the pandemic my husband and I used to meet up with friends regularly at the Blarney Stone as it was a convenient location. Add to that the good food, cold drinks and friendly service which definitely had us coming back. When they closed during the pandemic and didn't open again we were definitely disappointed. Once we knew they were going to open again we started going back there almost immediately. My husband had a birthday this past weekend with about 20 people and imagine our surprise to walk in a find our area fully decorated. Balloons, tablecloths, napkins the works! I appreciate the effort they put into going the extra mile to make this celebration extra special. If you're thinking of having an event definitely consider coming here. Everyone had a great time!

Pre pandemic this was one of my favorite spots to go! My husband and I loved it so much we bought a house on the same street. Fast forward to now. I've been putting off writing this review for awhile. We went back in the first week they reopened (about a year ago) and were very disappointed. We've been back a few times since then and still it's just not the same as before. The food is mediocre and for the prices, it's just frankly not worth it. You can go up the street and get a way better burger for the same price. The atom Pap here is still nice. We like going for trivia and just having a drink. Unfortunately this is no longer our "go to" place.

Hangover Burger with house potatoes. Solid

Good service super Low key. Good food. Homemade style which is nice considering most spots GFS order.

Been coming here for years. Great atmosphere, good beer selection, great pub food. Amber is the best! Come on in for a local's bar experience!

Potato skin's, burgers, wings and Michigan beer! Score!

This is my new favorite bar. The prices are fantastic, the food is fatty goodness in generous portions, and the menu is huge! It's divey, but that's the way I like my bars. And the people there are super cool and down-to-earth. The music on the jukebox was jammin', and they have tons of Michigan beers on tap! We ordered wings and potato skins to start. The wings were good, but make sure and order the hot ones. They're not over-the-top amazing, but they certainly fit the bill. The potato skins were amazing, as you'd expect from an Irish bar. Not skimpy on the toppings, fresh and perfectly fried, crispy and soft. I ate the entire plate of them. What should you order? A burger! I ordered the reuben burger, which is topped with corned beef, and HUGE! The most important thing is, it's not just a huge hunk of unseasoned beef. It's well-seasoned and juicy, and seriously amazing for, like, 8 bucks. Yeah, boii. Eat your heart out, Redcoat. ($12 burgers, easily) My hubby also ordered some huge house burger, and he said it was the best burger he's ever eaten. We. Will. Be. Back. Meet us there and shoot some pool!

    Yum dank juice odd side.

Solid neighborhood bar on Woodward. Drinks are fairly priced and bar food selection is solid.

The restaurant had been closed for the entire week after the July 4 holiday, yet Kevin O'Mara and his team opened on Saturday just to host our family and friends. That level of hospitality meant a great deal during a difficult time. We chose the wild-caught walleye over the prime rib, and it was the right decision. Lightly breaded and seasoned just enough to let the fish speak for itself, it was excellent. The whiskey sauce bread pudding was memorable, and even the coleslaw stood out with a unique flavor that had everyone asking what was in it. What impressed me most, though, was how much the restaurant has evolved. We had eaten here six or seven years ago and left feeling the family-style meals lacked creativity. This visit was a completely different experience. You can tell Kevin has thoughtfully reinvented the menu, emphasizing wild-caught and organic ingredients, avoiding unnecessary additives, and preparing everything with care. The staff was attentive, Kevin was an exceptional host, and every detail helped make an emotional day easier for our family. Five stars. Highly recommended.

The servers are all well trained, and highly professional. The food is fantastic. The menu is the standout; it is very creative and has something for everyone. Let's start with their breakfast. This is probably the best breakfast/brunch place in town. Too bad they're only open weekends for breakfast. Whenever we have family back in town or friends from out of town, this is our go to place. Casual relaxed, friendly with quality food. If you haven't been here for breakfast, I would highly recommend it. The only comment I have is they don't open for breakfast until a little bit later in the morning. Usually, there is a line out out front waiting for them to open. We've had most things on the menu and to be truthful, not one thing has disappointed. Dinner: we don't get here too often for dinner because in my mind, this is our go to breakfast place. Last week we tried it for dinner and again, very pleasantly surprised at the professionalism of the wait staff, the quality of the food, and the overall dining experience. Whoever transformed his place from a hipster beer hall to a quality dining experience did a great job. Kudos to them!

While they offer outdoor seating, we opted to eat indoors as it was a blazing 92 degrees. The seats at the tables are very comfy. Our server was new but he did a great job. If he hadn't told us, we wouldn't have guessed it. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sliders but without the peaches or jalapeños. They did give me a side of sweet pickle chips though. The sliders comes with a Baja sauce that's fairly spicy so the sweet pickles balanced the heat. I would like to try their S'mores Waffles sometime but more for a dessert. So, I'll be back!

Terrible! Terrible!…read more I went to ale Mary's beer hall this past Saturday to enjoy a nice brunch with my friends and also to try there soft served overly priced lemon drops. To start off our hosts had a very strong attitude when we came in waiting to be sat down and then tried to tell us that we didn't have a reservation when we did and I showed her even though it was the wrong number of guests I let her know we were willing to waiting she than got an attitude and got the manager for something that she could have fixed herself! Next we were sat and we were greeted with our server and we started ordering. When we acted for the price of a certain drink the server didn't know which would have been nice to know ahead of time before purchasing a $18 drink! We proceeded to order our foods and then every time we ordered something she would come back to us to let us know that they were out of pretty much a lot of things on the menu, it's not like we went late in the day we were there 11-12,. Then came the man who than was handing out the foods to the wrong people and proceeded to drop a plate of food on us and didn't say sorry or apologize he blatantly just came out with the plates and didn't even ask who's was who's which led to giving us the wrong orders. The food definitely wasn't worth the prices and we sent something back to explain how it was cold and salty and or server explained in a rude way "well this is how we make it", which is fine but she was very rude about to exchange when were just explain why with not rudeness. Even the table next to us was having. Issues with the same server the server did roll her eyes at that table when they said they needed something. If you don't like being a server just don't do it! 0/5 stars if I could.
