This time around the soy sauce were my favorite and I didn't really care for the lemon pepper because they were a bit more on the lemony side. This is my go to spot for popcorn, chicken usually but I will sometimes get the bone in as well. I usually call ahead to pick up because I like to eat my chicken at home with beer, which they also have alcohol options to pick up with an ID. They have someone working front and packing things up. The only thing is, it takes a while for them to fry the chicken so make sure to call a while ahead instead of getting there and coming in to order. I also really like their sweet potato pizza. Decent pricing. It's a small restaurant with three booths and about 6 tables, but comfortable and cushy seating (which I really care about at my age!!). We didn't have to wait that long. First of all, they offer a salad, and some sweet radish (if you ask for it) as an appetizer. It's kind of an interesting coleslaw salad, but actually pretty tasty. And the sweet radish is a pickled daikon radish, which is so delicious. They served our salad and radish in no time at all. They also provide water in a nice container with ice so you can pour your own water and you don't have to wait for them to refill it. We ordered the Bulgogi pizza and some garlic parmesan wings. The wings had were crispy, hot, and had a wonderful garlicky flavor with a parmesan sauce. They were tasty and my partner ate the heck out of them, but they were a bit too saucy for me. The bulgogi pizza is fantastic! Thick crust perfectly cooked, not too chewy, not too doughy. The toppings are bountiful, with every inch of the pizza covered in some kind of goodness. Cheese, green peppers, red onions, red peppers, corn, Bulgogi, of course, and lots of yummy cheese. Sweet and deliciously tasty, with a nice garlic flavor balanced with fresh veggies that still have a little crunch to them (I hate soggy veggies), and a nice beefy bulgogi finish. And, we were quite disappointed to find the table and seats a bit sticky to the touch. YUCK. I regret to share that the disappointment didn't end there. Once the food came out, we found the chicken to be overcooked and dried out to the bone. The sauce slathered over our fried chicken was flavorful indeed but lacked the depth in flavor you might expect from a restaurant-made kfc (korean fried chicken) sauce. It just tasted like gochujang mixed in with mae ploy chili sauce. The pizza was also dry and a bit bland while the cabbage salad was absolutely bitter and inedible. I'm just not sure how well this restaurant will survive when compared to its other fried chicken competitors. I will say though that they are one of the only chicken shops that STILL SERVE goguma pizza.
