Tried their medium (11 inch) build your own pizzas $9.95 each, and their toppings were awesome. Favorites were the mushrooms, roasted garlic (yum), cherry tomatoes, and spicy chorizo. Blaze does good on the toppings but in one of three pizzas, they skimped on the mozzarella and feta cheese. I'd say only 50% of the pizza was covered with cheese but it could've been an exception. Terrible customer service! Terrible "pizza makers". First of all, they don't know how to make a simple pepperoni pizza. For 8.95 before tax. Save your money and go elsewhere. As you can see in the pizza they give you very few pepperonis & forget to add marinara sauce all throughout the pizza. Let's also not forget their skimpy mozzarella cheese. This is a terrible pizza. My pizza had a huge mountain of white before I even got any toppings on. I thought it would be like other BYOP places where they give you small amounts of each cheese to equal approximately one normal portion of cheese. I love cheese -- hence my request for a 6-cheese pizza -- but I don't like cheese THAT much haha. Like do they cover the pizza with layers of pepperoni and sausage if I ask for both? We find ourselves at Blaze on a weekly basis. Blaze, like Pieology and Pizza Studio is the Chipotle of personal pizzas. You basically choose one of their pre-designed signature options or build your own. I like the fact that at Blaze they offer spicy red and garlic pesto for sauce bases in addition to basic red, white, and bbq. They also have a gluten free, and thick crust (double crust) options. The toppings are excellent. The ovalini mozzarella is so good and has a wonderful chewy consistency. Lots of other topping options from an assortment of fresh veggies and basil leaves, to roasted whole garlic cloves and pineapple. For under $9 and some change, a Build Your Own can be made with as many or as little toppings as you like. One of their signature pies will cost less. Blaze also has some interesting drink options - agua frescas. And they offer a dessert s'more pie made with Mcvitie's biscuits. Blaze is admittedly my favorite of the plethora of assemble-and-bake-it-quick pizza chains. This location opened in December 2015 and is my favorite place for thin crust pizza in Cerritos. You can choose one of the pizza creations on their menu or make your own. I really like the flavor of their crust and sauces as well as the fresh toppings they offer. On my latest visit I had the traditional red sauce and a combination of mozzarella and gorgonzola cheese (light on the gorgonzola - it's got a powerful taste). I also added pepperoni, Italian sausage, black olives and artichokes. The pizza was ready in a few minutes and was wonderful. This location stands out with their customer service. Everyone seems to have genuine sunshiny personalities - no ennui kids here. The young women who made my pizza, the guy who put it in the oven and others who were cleaning the tables all had smiles and treated me like I was important. Which, as a customer, I am! Tonight is a family and friends soft opening of Blaze. There was a huge line when my party of 9 walked in but it has moved quickly. Everyone seems to be on their toes, efficiently taking orders. Too much sauce. Not enough queso. To top it off one side of my pizza had a lot more toppings than the other half. What I really liked was the blood orange lemonade! I came in on a sunday afternoon with my husband and our friend. We each order a build your own pizza. It was somewhat disorganized the way we were being helped but it was okay. The quality of the ingredients is better than some of the other places. Their crust is very bland and I think it would be better on their other dough, but its $3 extra to get the better dough. So a little pricey there. We were helped in a good amount of time. The dinning room was really dirty which a was a downer for me. First time trying out this location a few days ago, they boxed up the wrong pizza for her and didn't even cut mine... like at all. She ended up with correct order and loved it.
