Build Your Own Half 11-inch Pizza. Gluten free crust
    Rebekah H.

Great place for pizza! Especially if you have allergies or dietary restrictions, the staff was really good at making sure there wasn't any cross contamination. And they have gluten free crusts and vegan cheese! I opted for the build you own pizza, and you can pretty much add however toppings you want. Once your pizza is ready and has been cooked in the fire stove, you can choose if you'd like any sauce on top as well. My pizza was delicious and was just the right size for me! I'll definitely be back.

I love coming here for a personal create- your- own pizza. Just go down the line and tell the staff what you want and into the oven it goes. Then, you can have them put a drizzle of whatever topping you want on top. Usually the wait time isn't much longer than the time it takes to bake your pizza. The staff can seem a little disinterested at times and this last time the trash was overflowing. Overall though it's generally a great place to come for a customizable pizza with good options.

I love that we each get to customize our pizza to our preferences.

Blaze Pizza in Chula Vista is our family's favorite spot for customizable and delicious pizza. The ingredients are always fresh and fully stocked, and I love that you can build your pizza exactly the way you want. It feels like ordering at Subway, but instead of sandwiches you are creating pizzas. Every time, our pizzas turn out perfect and we leave full and satisfied. Another huge plus is that the A/C always works and it feels perfectly cool inside, which makes dining here extra enjoyable during the hot summer months. If they opened a location in Bonita or National City closer to the military base, I know they would get so many happy customers. Until then, we will keep making the trip!

it was nice to customize your pizza but was small. the spicy tomato sauce was more spicier than expected but it was good. If your into spicy foods I would recommend getting that topping.

Ordered the rising crust pizza online and received a severely undercooked pizza. I called and spoke with the supervisor (the manager was not there) and states they will refund my order. It's been a week and no refund. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

4 slices of pepperoni on one half of the pizza and some "splatterings"

Blaze Pizza has been a go-to place for us, but they seem to be turning into Panda Express because they are skimping a lot on the toppings like Panda is filling their to-go boxes less and less. We went again tonight and was very disappointed with the service and experience overall... Got a pepperoni pizza and a s'more for my daughter. As they were preparing the pizza, I had to take a phone call and stepped back a little. I noticed the girl put very little red sauce (no biggie, I guess), but then I saw very few pepperoni slices while still on my call. They put the pizza in the oven; too late. I did manage to tell the girl that pizza had a poor portion of pepperoni and sauce. She did offer to "pull it out of the oven and put more". I declined (how was she going to add more sauce and pepperoni?), my daughter wanted to eat. We literally got a pizza with just 4 pepperoni slices on one half and a few more on the other half, but also splattered with a little creamy sauce from who-knows-where, and a couple of green pepper, mushroom and black olive slices sprinkled over. We dined in, but we moticed they never called out to pick up the s'more...I had to get up after we were done to ask for the s'more, and two of the workers seemed to discuss the s'more; there was a small paper sleeve with what seemed to be the s'more in the back counter. One of the workers said, "we'll make you a new one, the other got burned". Two things about this: if I don't ask, I never get the s'more; and also, how do you burn a s'more? Overall, 2 stars just because the taste wasn't that bad, but the customer experience is not the same as years past.

    Illegally delicious!

Quick and delicious food prepared by a speedy staff skilled at slicing scrumptious...slices. A place well worthy of many a re-re-visits!

2 Gluten free 11 in. Pizzas with burnt, black crusts. Why would these even be boxed up?
    Pat L.

I ordered 3 pizzas for pickup. When I got home and opened the boxes this is what I found. I tried to call to complain but was directed by recording to complain on their website! We ate the toppings and threw away the rest. Got an email today offering a free dessert on my next visit. How about a refund?? Back to Bambinos!

We paid a pretty penny for burnt pizza,
    Cindy B.

The place is usually good with their pizza but this night --we got home and found this --it was seriously burnt So rude. How do you burn pizza? And how do you not notice that you have burnt pizza? It's pizza! !ruined our night . So rude!

Accidentally made an online order right before they close since I forgot their hours. When I got there, the crew assured me that it was all good. They got me the final pizza of the day fresh from the oven. Pizza tasted great! First family ate Blaze's, and they loved it. Thank you Andres and Fernanda for both the service and the slices!

👎👎👎 18 dollars in the toilet. THEY DIDN'T EVEN CUT THE PIZZA.

What time and what is the happy hour deal?

I don't think they have a happy hour since it's a chain pizza spot and not a bar. I could be wrong though.

Food so good had to leave my first review on yelp…read more I've been living in SD for about 3 years now and have struggled finding good pizza, most of it is overpriced for the quality. But these guys are reasonably priced and the quality of the food was amazing. I got 2 pizzas ( buffalo chicken ) and ( plain ) for my wife and I and we both admit this was phenomenal. I also got some wings ( also reasonably priced ) other places often casually charge $2.5 per wing for some trash wings. But these wings were good quality not the gigantic ones that are juiced up. The wings were smaller and more natural as they should be. Definitely recommend this'll become my families pizza spot for sure.

We ordered the Meats Pizza, spaghetti, a mushroom calzone, and a salad, and every single dish was outstanding. The pizza crust was absolutely delicious, the calzone was perfectly made, and the spaghetti sauce was one of the best I've had in a very long time. You can truly taste the quality and care that goes into the food. What made our visit truly unforgettable, though, was the customer service. A young man, only 14 years old, helped us, and I was genuinely amazed by his professionalism. His warm personality, calm demeanor, and the way he spoke to us reflected a level of hospitality you would expect at a first-class restaurant. Even though the restaurant was very busy, he never made us feel rushed. Since it was our first visit, he patiently answered every question, explained the menu, described the portions, and helped us choose exactly what we wanted. His confidence, kindness, and genuine desire to help made our experience truly exceptional. If you appreciate outstanding food and exceptional customer service, Bambino is a place you should absolutely visit. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Great food brings people in, but exceptional service creates lifelong customers--and that's exactly what happened with us.

Artichoke hearts were great and the stuffed tomatoes were a pleaselant surprise. My family had numerous pastas and a pie which we were all blown away by this hidden gem. Unfortunately the expirence took a turn when it came to our service from our server, Mia. I should mention that we were not locals and we traveled from a different state. We spent our day going to Sesame Place with our family and wanted a bite to eat after. I will say we weren't the best dressed given our day however, I feel like we were targeted for this reason from the beginning. We had a party of 6 and we knew that mandatory tip was included before going. That did not stop us since we were looking for a delicious meal before driving back home. We ordered water as soon as we sat down since we had spent the day in the sun. From that moment, Mia rolled her eyes and didn't even ask how we were doing, not even a smile. Mia's attitude towards us was very unprofessional the entire time. She would come over very quickly and wouldn't ask if we needed anything or how we were doing. We had to ask her in the small time she would come over or ask someone else. We were celebrating my birthday and mentioned that but she didn't acknowledge it. The cherry on top was when we received our bill, it was $201 and some change. We gave $210 and the exact change in cash so we could recieve an even $10 back and leave it at the table even though the tip was already taken out. Mia brought back 9 dollars and 1 dollar in change back and honestly, it was petty. After that, we didn't leave anything extra and left feeling pretty upset with the overall service. It was disappointing for my family that our last part of our vacation ended like this. Money was not an issue for my family and it is disappointing to get judged when I have the same currency as everyone else paying inside. Unfortunately, I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone even though the food was truly delicious.

I Really Wanted to Love This Pizza…read more After seeing several Facebook videos from this restaurant, my wife and I drove south after church specifically to try their Chicago-style deep-dish pizza. The videos worked--I was genuinely excited. The last Chicago-style pizza I had was at Lefty's in North Park, which was very good, so I was looking forward to trying another local option. Our first impression was excellent. The restaurant looked great, with Chicago memorabilia on one side and San Diego Padres players on the other. It was cool and comfortable inside, and the cashier was exceptionally friendly and attentive. I told her it was our first visit and that their Facebook advertising was exactly what brought us in. We ordered the popular Empire State Meat Lovers deep-dish pizza. The cashier explained that it would take about 25-30 minutes, which was no problem--we expected a proper deep-dish pizza to take some time. With one Coke, the total was $41.30. That seemed a little expensive, but I would have been perfectly happy with the price if the pizza delivered what the videos promised. We requested it in a box because we expected to eat only a slice or two and take the rest home. After about 30 minutes, the cashier brought it to our table with plenty of chili packets and a deep-dish serving utensil. The pizza looked amazing when we opened the box, and it had the size, weight, cheese, and crunch you would expect from a substantial deep-dish pizza. Unfortunately, the flavor did not match its appearance. I first pulled off a piece of crust, but it had very little flavor. The sauce was overwhelmingly salty--so salty that my wife joked that we would have no trouble getting our sodium for the day. I laughed and hoped the rest of the slice would be better. The pizza was served piping hot, the cheese was plentiful, and the crust had a satisfying crunch. However, after several bites, I could not get past the saltiness. Beneath all that salt, the sauce tasted bland, and the dough lacked the rich flavor I expect from a good deep-dish crust. If I am being completely honest, the overall flavor reminded me more of a basic frozen supermarket pizza than a freshly made specialty pizza. I really tried to like it, especially because I had been so excited to come. But I could barely finish one slice. We walked out carrying a very heavy box with only two slices missing, and unless one of our kids eats the leftovers, I honestly have little desire to reheat them. What disappointed me most was not spending $41.30 on a pizza we did not enjoy. It was that I truly wanted to love this place. The Facebook videos showed someone taking tremendous pride in his pizza craft, and I was hoping to find a great Chicago-style restaurant we could return to. I hope this was simply an off day, because the restaurant itself was inviting and the service was excellent. The staff treated us very well, and the pizza had the right appearance and structure--it just fell far short on flavor. My grades for this visit: * Service and atmosphere: A * Appearance and portion size: A * Crust crunchiness: B * Sauce: D * Dough flavor: D Sadly, based on this particular experience, I do not expect we will return. I might consider giving it another chance someday if I knew the owner or pizza maker featured in the Facebook videos was personally preparing the pizzas. I really hope our experience was not representative of what this restaurant usually serves.

The first was when I was about six-years old and I ate some of the best pizza in my life at that point on the patio during a sunny day while my older sister and her girl scout troop had a party event. The second, my Dad was when my Dad treated me to a mouth-watering and fresh Turkey submarine sandwich after my Confirmation, when I was about 16-years-old. Those were the days, yes, indeed. Forward to present day, and this deli is still unequivocally, one of my favorites spots to grab lunch or dinner. The staff consisting of a very diligent family are always polite and loquacious. The family certainly takes pleasure in making sure all customers are welcomed with open arms. During the past decade or so, the quality of food has not deteriorated. The pizza is always fresh, and hits the spot. I suggest ordering the 20-inch or 28-inch for events such as a movie night, boxing fight-night matches, or a birthday party for your son and/or daughter or for a family-gathering event in general. The crust from the pizza is thick and slightly crunchy...sometimes, I tear off some parts of the crust and save it for later. The selection of toppings are plenty and just enough to create the pizza to your liking. I would say the toppings are from the old-school style of pizza joints....ya know, that 1980's-style feel. As for the sandwiches, I have to refrain from ordering two! The bread is moist, delicious and pairs well with the choice of sub you select. I must warn you, it can be overwhelming with all the choices the deli has to serve. The Philly Steak is one, if not the best I have consumed in San Diego county. The other subs I suggest are: Turkey, ham and cheese, a Turkey sub, Pastrami sandwich and the gyro. I sincerely hope you will not be disappointed when you try what the deli has to offer. In addition, for the appetizers, the French fries, fried zucchini, and cheese garlic bread are supreme and premium side snacks to add if you are feeling voracious and ravenous. And, who knows, you may see Mario Lopez there during your visit. *Side Notes*: Parking lot is never crowded to a point where you become frustrated, the front entrance is visible and you will not miss the turn to drive inside the parking lot, and the establishment is easy to locate off the 805 freeway or if you are traveling from the roads.
