Overall great place to eat! There is always plenty of fresh ingredients available and the staff is friendly. There is ample table / seating and the place is clean. The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is that sometimes they do not bake the pizza long enough, so some of the toppings and crust dough are not fully cooked. But I just need to remind the employee to add extra time to the oven during the baking stage. Overall, I recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in eating a custom baked pizza. read more

I recently tried their build your own pizza with cauliflower pizza crust, I'm a veggie lover so I threw in all the veggies in the menu. My Bf got the high rise crust . The pizza is perfectly made and taste so fresh with no artificial cheeses or toppings. They also have a great variety of aguas frescas. Blaze Pizza to Chula Vista is a wonderful location! I love the unlimited toppings pizza on a regular crust. For my toppings, I usually go with green peppers, spinach, tomatoes, arugula, onions, mozzarella, ricotta, and spicy red sauce. The pizza was delicious! The crust was of the thinner variety and tasted quite good. It had a good crunch too. The unlimited veggies makes me very happy. I like how they are distributed evenly on the pizza. All the staff members were very up beat and friendly. I like that they took the liberty to check up on customers to make sure everything was good and tasty. $28 for two burnt keto pizzas and water cups. I'm so disappointed. I'm hoping this was an honest mistake by whomever made my pizza. My husband and I follow a keto lifestyle so I was stoked to try out a pizza that was keto friendly. Once the burnt edges were torn off, the crust itself wasn't too bad. Husband describes pizza as "dry". I was also disappointed that there was an empty red pepper flake jar on our table, yet no others in sight? Or signage to point toward where those would be found. The table next to us had one oregano and parmesan, no others anywhere for self service. My husband had a friendly worker make his pizza, mine however had such a cantankerous attitude once I had asked him to speak up so I could heat him. Door sign for hours and website state the hours of operation are 1100am-1000pm Friday and Saturday. Last night I came in at 940pm and got turned away saying they were closed. There were no patrons in the establishment and we still got turned away. Called today to speak with a manager just to get clarification on the matter and was dealt only "I am sorry" and that they were not a manger so there was nothing they could do. Whom ever I spoke to then proceeded to express that when employees leave early, the location will close earlier than the stated hours because they would be short staffed and have to stay past the closing hours. The hours of operation are clearly stated and not and adhered too thus losing potential customers. Terrible business practice and I will not be recommending nor spending anything of a monetary value at this or any Blaze Pizza establishments. read more

We've ordered here before and so we thought we'd give it another go. I'm giving three stars because of the good service over the phone and the timing of it being good. We called in our order and it took maybe 20 minutes for it to be ready. While I walked in and waited for the pizza, they were playing what sounded like hip hop/rap music over the speakers really loud! I saw a couple get up and take their food home instead because the music was so distasteful. I saw a father and daughter go outside to sit so they didn't have to yell across the room. I also couldn't tell who the manager was. They all looked like they were in high school! I grabbed my Pizzas and got home only to notice there was barely any cheese on the pizzas! I order from this establishment once or twice a week, my daughter and I can each have our own pizza around $20 bucks and delivered through postmate. About an average of 15 orders, one order was delivered to the wrong door which by no means Blaze's fault. Today I ordered again, but this time instead of ranch drizzle finish, it was pesto. People are allowed to make mistakes from time to time and it's about how they handled it when I had to drive to establishment to let them make it right. I paid for cauliflower crust which was extra and I was a little annoyed I had to drive back cause there was a lot of pesto on the mistake one. The manager was nice and prompt, made me a new pizza and even offered to let me keep the wrong one which I declined. Before he let me have the new pizza, he made sure it's the ranch drizzle I liked. I didn't want to be that customer causing a scene cause I have worked for food industry before. Ever since having tried Blaze pizza, we never went back to Pizza Hut, Dominoes or papa johns. With my busy schedule, I utilize the delivery service a lot. Blaze pizza, they're not stingy in toppings, price is reasonable and it's tasty. Still have a 5 star to me regardless of mistakes. Came here about a week after it first opened! The service was phenomenal! The guy at the front kindly walked me through the process and was very helpful with all of my questions. I sensed an incredible amount of teamwork amongst the employees and it just made the atmosphere of the restaurant comforting. Pretty hard to beat when you can get a freshly made pizza with any ingredients and toppings you want for a reasonable price. The pizza is excellent. Since they are new you can tell the workers get confused sometimes, but they make up for it with their welcoming attitudes. The only improvement I would suggest is the salads which tend to be a little on the drier side than I prefer. UPDATE: I went back recently and the salads were much improved by adding more dressing than what they were initially serving. Who woulda thunk it, but they actually listen to the customers, and they adjusted accordingly. In my opinion, the salads are good now. read more

I felt bad because I had lots of questions and I'm sure it was annoying. This was my first experience at a Blaze Pizza. They were all so kind and patient, but an employee there by the name of Allison was exceptionally helpful. Allison was able to answer all of my questions, she gave me recommendations and made me feel like I wasn't being quite as annoying as I felt I was. After walking around the center of Otay Ranch Mall - as the Yelp App indicated, with no success, I attempted to call the restaurant. However, the recorded voice hung up on me after 4 rings. I called 3 times with the same results. I finally asked at the Apple store, and they were able to get me to the right location. If you are a new location doesn't it seem logical that you would answer the phone so that customers can find you?? If I had not already paid for the pizza, I would have gone elsewhere.
