Came in during my lunch hour and had the green stripe pizza which was recommended by Mirna who is an employee that works there. The pizza was really good and the ingredients tasted fresh. Overall the environment is very welcoming, thanks to the attention to detail that Mirna and her coworkers have with the customers. I will for sure be coming back to this establishment and try out some of the other pizzas that are offered. read more

I'm giving Blaze Pizza 5 stars and we didn't even get our pizza for 1 hour past the promised delivery time, it sure as heck wasn't Door Dash that made it so. It was the store manager that was calm and smiling all through my dismay as to the disappearance of said pizza. Door Dash finally delivered a cold pizza that obviously looked over an hour old and was stone cold. Oh it left the pizza place on time but where it went for an hour?I live 5 minutes from Blaze and in the future I'll just pick up their awesome pizzas and skip delivery. Anyway back to the awesome manager if you read this you've restored my faith in customer service and I hope you do great things in this life because Blaze is lucky to have you in there. Worst service ever AGAIN!!!!!! This time is the last. 1hour and a half for four pizzas. And after asking twice, the third time they went and made the last two pizzas. First time having Blaze as we were on vacation and we don't have one in our area. You would think there aren't anymore innovative restaurants out there but Blaze does something different, assembles your pizza in front of you with your custom instructions, then feeds it into a very hot open style oven until perfectly cooked. The final product was very tasty and satisfied the anticipation you have while waiting for it to be finalized. The staff were very friendly and receptive also. Highly recommended. read more

This is not about the food, it is about the service, the lack thereof on a recent visit. As many of you in our community have done, I purchased a sheet of coupons for an Otay Ranch High School football team fundraiser. The bp coupons clearly state a "free pizza with purchase of a pizza of equal or lesser value." I attempted to use one of these coupons at this location and was told by the manager that he would not accept it for large pizzas, only for personal size pizzas. What?! There is nothing on the coupon that states personal size only, or even indicates the maximum size you can order, it just says "with purchase of a pizza of equal or lesser value." Needless to say personal size pizzas were not going to be enough for a large family, and having been put off by their lack of principle, I surely wasn't going to spend any money on bp at that point, so Filippi's it was. Ironically, they advertise on their web site to fundraise with them. How are you going to participate in a fundraiser, make an offer to the public, and when we go to redeem said offer, tell us you won't honor it as it reads? Isn't that the definition of bait-and-switch? Have already contacted the people in charge of ORHS fundraising and have informed them that bp's guise as a supporter of local youth fundraising may need to be further scrutinized on behalf of all their fundraising donors. Also, reached out to bp's corporate office, but no response. You have a good day, too. read more

I was searching for a build your own pizza place one time and I found Blaze in my results. My first visit was around Christmas time and it was a very pleasant experience. The place inside looks very cool with a good mood of lighting, the staff are very nice and made me feel good during my visit, and the food was great. I did the build your own pizza and the staff made it superbly, it was decorated very neat and evenly and it tasted amazing. Overall Blaze is a great place for pizza, I've been visiting a couple of times and the experience is just as good as my first one. They also have an app where you can order in advance if you're on the go and they have a rewards program on it for free food in the future, they also have online deals from time to time. 5 stars, love this place ^_^ read more

Just moved here on Saturday to Chula Vista and found a pizza place that I haven't seen since I lived Virginia a few years back. This place has some of the best Staff members I've seen. Specifically a Pizza Maker makes Isaac who both times I've come in this weekend has made me a delectable pizza as well as been a friendly conversationalist as he did so. Another I sadly forgot to get the name of also was of great assistance. My card was declining today on Labor Day and he allowed me to go get my credit card from home to pay for my meal so I could still enjoy it hot off the oven and pay for my meal in a timely manner. I went to buy a pizza and salad I waited in line of 8 people I was the fourth in line when I had to pay the manager told me to Pay by card I told her that I only had cash on me and she got upset because I paid in cash I did not get my order until she finished attended to everybody else in the pizza place and when she finally made my salad she did not change her gloves with which she grab the money, I 'm feel very disappointed of the service I receive. read more

The team at this location needs to get trained at the Carlsbad location! I went to Carlsbad and was so happy w their food and exceptional service that I decided to visit the Eastlake location since it's closer to me. Big mistake!!! All 4 of their staff members completely ignored us, not a hi, a nod, or any kind of acknowledgment. I stood in front of a guy that was preparing a pizza and not once did he even look up, we were inside for 5 minutes as the only two customers and every employee just passed us by and not a word. Such a disappointment, I called after and told their manager on site and he did offer me a free meal but honestly I have no intention of going back, for what, so they can all be fake now that I expressed myself??? First off, I want to say that Eduardo and Paulina get a 5-star in my book! They were the only ones actually working. The manager and several other employees were standing around gossipping and not helping anyone. Eduardo and Paulina took charge and picked up the slack for everyone else. You two are the real MVPs. I give the manager (female, didn't get her name) a 1-star for allowing employees to stand around and do nothing while a line built up. Then the manager had the audacity to tell Eduardo and Paulina to get to work, yet she was the one that was standing around with several other employees doing absolutely nothing. Lead by example! Don't try to talk down to the only two employees actually working when you're the one that was standing around. Practice what you preach. As far as the pizza, I give it a 5. The first time, I got one of their specialty pizzas and it was simple yet tasty. The second time I got a specialty pizza and added a few things. This last time I pretty much perfected the pizza I wanted by getting a specialty pizza and adding several extras. These two you male kids who were suppose to man the oven were too busy somewhere else. The girls were busy cleaning and or attending customers, they were great. Everywhere I looked it says blaze pizza closes at 10pm, my wife and I went in a little before 9pm and the staff was cleaning and said they were closed, I mentioned that Google, Yelp and everywhere and their own sign said 10pm, they all kind of looked at each other and were like "uh uh on Thursdays we have to clean up early" not a good way to run a business. Wow! Delicious! First time here and the girl at the front was soo helpful. I wish I knew her name! Well she was there today at around 730pm and was Hispanic/kind of tall and beautiful! I customized my pizza with onions, pepperoni,salami, spinach, roasted garlic, marina sauce, Mozzarella cheese, olives, jalapeños, oregano and chose the original crust, Loved the thin crust. Great pizza for a great price! Best part was the customer service! Every one of them, and I mean each person that worked here was amazing! As I was waiting for my pizza to go, I watched the whole team work together and they were so friendly and respectful to each other and to the customers! It was pretty busy since it was a Friday evening around 6ish and I was so amazed by the teamwork! Now the pizza....my daughter loves this place. She used to eat at the one by her college and said it was her favorite pizza place. I have to agree with her. It's basically a subway but with pizza. I wasn't sure what I wanted because so much to choose from! So I went with the basic pepperoni and Italian sausage and it was great! The crust was cooked perfectly and you get a fresh out of the oven pizza, so be careful because it's hot! I will definitely be coming back here! read more

So this place has been open for a little while and it's nearby so why not give a local pizzeria a chance right? Wrong! I called them to confirm a few details from my order and the guys hung up on me! What happened to customer service for your local consumers? I was merely asking about specific toppings on a pizza that was ordered from the app and the guy acted like he wish he wasn't at work and didn't want to answer my questions. Needless to say, I will definitely be going back to Pizzo pizza in San Miguel Ranch for all of my pizza orders.
