Charlie was courteous, friendly, and overall greatly attentive to us! Never have I had a handshake when leaving a restaurant, so friendly. As far as the food, everything the table had was tasty and compelling. I had the Jalisco tamales Benedict with the house salsa, flavorful and filling. The potatoes were yummy. My only critique is that our lattes were somewhat cooled off by the time they hit our table. Personally, first thing in the morning I like a nice hot latte that I can hold onto. Farmer's Table should not be the name of this place at all. I visited this restaurant on a Friday for a quick brunch and I personally would never recommend this place. This restaurant claims "Farm to Fork," but the menu is a long way from real farm food. I was expecting classic dishes like fresh eggs, juicy bacon, and biscuits with gravy, given the farm-inspired theme. Instead, it felt more like a Mexican restaurant with menu choices offered. We ordered French toast, with a side of bacon and eggs. I also ordered a horchata latte. The eggs were clearly powdered and cold, and the bacon was so overcooked and hard it nearly broke my braces. Even the coffee was more like flavored milk. The service was pretty average, especially given the initial impression of the place. It looks really nice when you first walk in, but once you're seated, you start noticing camera flashes everywhere. I was there for a meal, not to be an accidental photo extra. Having a photographer constantly circling felt more like a push for profit than a way to enhance the dining experience. I think management really needs to re-evaluate the message and experience they're putting out there. If they're going to keep a photographer, they should at least set up a designated area for people who actually want to be in photos. The menu needs a complete overhaul to truly reflect traditional farm food, and the ingredients should actually be farm-fresh. For what I paid for two French toasts, two bacons (which we didn't even touch), and one order of eggs, I honestly feel completely ripped off. So, if you're hoping for a relaxed, farm-fresh meal, this isn't it. I saw this place as a hit on Instagram and had to check it out. We made reservations and headed out to this place. More than half of the parking structure was being hosed off during peak business hours and parking was hell. After about 20 minutes of waiting to find parking I get in there and we get seated quickly. Everything is beautiful in here, I love that it's very open and colorful and peaceful environment. Good vibes. Shortly after we are seated we are giving some water that was room temperature with no ice. That's fine no big deal I'm here to eat not drink water. I checked out there juices and decided to order a pineapple juice. I was brought out a warm pineapple juice. I've never have had a warm pineapple juice today in my life and I never do that was even a thing. And for my server to look at me like I was crazy when I asked for ice for my pineapple juice was kind of odd. Anyways I ordered chicken waffles with a medium egg. I immediately asked for extra syrup because I know myself. My friend ordered the salmon. After we ordered we were not acknowledged again. We probably received our food 15ish minutes after we ordered and I immediately took pictures. Everything looks so good. I immediately noticed that there is a medium egg on top of my chicken that's on top of my waffle. I've never had medium eggs with mixed with fried chicken before so that was a big turn off for me seeing that on top. That's okay I'm easy I just moved it to the side and ate it. My waffle was kind of warm my egg was about room temperature and the chicken was overcooked. I got less than a quarter of syrup in a little container when I specifically asked for extra. All of this has potential to be great it just needs more seasoning. There was no salt pepper or other seasonings offered at all and when I asked for more syrup I got a half a cup of syrup filled. So once I reached out to our server again and I still didn't get what I needed I just stopped asking as I felt like a burden like I wasn't important. And then we waited an extra 10-15 minutes for the check after we were clearly done with our food. I brought some my stuff and took it home and I made it amazing. With a lot more seasoning on their chicken and some 2 dashes of hot sauce, warmed up in the air fryer and man it was great. I was really looking forward to trying Farmer's Table, but unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. We came to celebrate my niece's graduation and even mentioned to our waiter that we were there celebrating her. That's why it was especially disappointing that no one ever mentioned the $25 graduate gift card that is advertised on the restaurant's website after learning about it after the fact. I ordered the Divorciados and was disappointed from the first bite. The dish came with only about six small pieces of pork belly, and overall the flavor was seriously lacking. There was nothing memorable or special about it, and honestly I've made better dishes at home. The service was also disappointing. I asked our waiter if he could help me choose between two menu items, but he said he couldn't because the menu changes and he hasn't tried anything. When we asked to order onion rings he didn't even know they offered those. I mean...seriously!? Also, when I asked what exactly the Divorciados was, he simply read the ingredients listed on the menu back to me. That wasn't very helpful as I know how to read I just didn't understand what it was. My son ordered the egg sandwich with fries and specifically requested his egg be fried hard, but it arrived runny. We also had to ask multiple times for water refills, and I had to request ranch four separate times before finally receiving it. At one point, I asked another server for ranch and was told I needed to ask my own waiter, which felt unnecessarily dismissive when he could have simply relayed the request. To add to the frustration, a staff member (who was kind I will admit) kindly offered to take our family photo and told us he would return in about 15 minutes with the complimentary picture. He never came back. We finished our meal over an hour later and had to ask several employees about it. The overall experience felt disorganized and chaotic. Between the underwhelming food, lack of attention to detail, inconsistent service, and failure to acknowledge the graduation promotion despite knowing we were celebrating a graduate, this isn't a place I would return to or recommend. A group of friends and I were in the area and really excited to try this place! The menu has so many yummy-looking items, I was having trouble choosing between the breakfast burrito and the breakfast burger. I ended up selecting the breakfast burger. It was pretty good, especially with the arugula and a sunny side fries! And the fries were really well seasoned. The only disappointing factor was the fact that one of my friends in the group was vegan, and there weren't any vegan options unfortunately. They've recently added matcha and café lattes to their menu! My party thought the Mazapan Latté was the stand out, but the Horchata Latté and Caramel Latté were very disappointing. The Horchata Latté tasted like semi-sweet milk and the Caramel Latté was just okay, I would appreciate a more coffee-forward drink but I'm unsure if they use espresso in their drinks (or maybe they're single shots?). I had high hopes for these drinks since they are new additions (I thought maybe this restaurant stepped up their coffee game) but I would have preferred sticking with their Mexican Mocha, which although is still not very coffee forward is nonetheless a delicious drink. The pictures I've included show some of my favorite meals here. The Poblano Chilaquilles are a 10/10 and a staple for whenever I visit with family or friends. It's very savory and goes perfectly with over-medium eggs. If you prefer spicier Chilaquilles, this is not for you (these are savory without a hint of spice!). The Cali Omelette is all you could want from an omelette and HUGE! Unfortunately the sourdough bread was stale this visit. Potatoes are seasoned well and complements the meal. The Dulce De Leche French Toast is perfect for sharing and for those with a sweet tooth. It was the perfect finish to my party's meal. The Farmers Table gets a 10/10 for ambiance, but the service has generally been lacking for the 5-8 visits I've made. I feel as if the servers are not very attentive and I find myself waiting for the check or even to be checked on to see if my experience is going well. I actually would have loved to comment on the lattes I ordered (which again, were disappointing). The food is always great though, and despite the lacking service (which I've observed is likely due to the large amount of guests vs the couple of servers on duty attending to everyone), I always find myself coming back for more! Essentially, PLEASE order the Poblano Chilaquilles and PLEASE get your coffee elsewhere! I think a revamp on the coffee is much needed (much rather get my coffee and breakfast fix together!). read more

We had a great experience at Farmer's Table. It was very easy to schedule through OpenTable, even for our larger group of 12. The ambiance is beautiful -- very aesthetic with lots of wood, which really fits the "Farmer's Table" concept. I especially loved the truck at the front; such a unique and welcoming touch. Service was excellent -- very quick and attentive. We arrived around 8:15 when it was still quiet, but the place filled up quickly, which says a lot about how popular it is. This location feels newer and more spacious compared to the La Mesa and Fashion Valley ones. It's quite large and even has additional sections, which makes it great for groups. Food was pretty good too fresh Parking was easy, with plenty of spaces behind the restaurant as well as street parking available. Our visit had a minor hiccup when our main dishes were delayed. We were initially dissatisfied, but the way the situation was handled was fantastic. Guillermo (Manager) came over and apologized. Ordered: Pulled Pork Omelette - smoky moist pulled pork with perfectly cooked omelette with chipotle cream/cheese with well seasoned potatoes on the side. Enchiladas - flavorful and moist chicken. The poblano sauce, mozzarella, queso fresco topped with red onions is just delicious. Should have been 5/5 if I got the over medium eggs as I ordered but it was over hard. Breakfast Burger - my in-law likes her burger; well seasoned with crispy bacon. The meal itself was delicious, and the service recovery was excellent. We were impressed when we got comp on our meal. It completely turned our experience around and showed that this restaurant truly cares about its customers. Front/dining staff were all great. This is such a great breakfast spot in downtown Chula Vista! The location is super convenient, it's right next to a large parking structure, which makes getting here a breeze. They have outdoor seating, which makes it pet-friendly (huge plus!). The inside is also really pretty, bright, welcoming, and perfect for a relaxed morning.
