Had a slight issue ordering from the site but Desi was super quick to rectify, especially since I tried rebooking my order and they were all of a sudden out of spots. I ordered a pepperoni, meatball, spinach and mushroom pie and requested to pick it up later that evening. We made the drive out and found the pop up in a garage kitchen tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Desi had our pizza boxed and ready to take home. I can't believe how good this pizza is! We met Desi in his garage-turned-kitchen and saw how the sausage was made. Once he took our pizza out of the oven, he ladled it with extra sauce. No wonder the food was packed with flavor. The dough was soft and supported all the cheese and meat so well. It was the pillowiest, cheesiest bite that went on forever like a great party in my mouth. We were so happy we forgot to take photos of the pie before we dug in! And don't get me started on the tiramisu. It was so good it snapped me out of my bad mood. I ate it the day after, to let the ice thaw out of it (but it's good to eat on the day you order it - this was just my preference). It's probably as good, if not better than the tiramisu at Uovo. I've been craving a Chicago style deep dish pizza for years! I've tried a few places around SGV and the IE but nothing has impressed me or compared to what I tasted in Chicago. Chi Town Pizza is 100% worth the hype! It's worth the wait (I had to schedule my pizza about a week in advance and the first pickup is at 5pm), it's worth the price, and it's def worth the drive (I live about 35 min away). It's the perfect sauce to cheese to topping to crust ratio. Flavors are amazing! I do wonder if I can request maybe a crispier crust (I just like a crunchy crust but I'm not sure if that's true Chicago style). It was a hit at home and I can't wait to order again. read more

We miss Chicago deep dish pizza, and lucky for us, Chi Town is not far from our house! This time we got spinach, pepperoni, and Italian sausage, and it was amazing as always. The crust is yum, the cheese is melty, and the flavors are spot on. Love it love it love it! just how deep dish should be. But the real surprise? The tiramisu.
