I went here a while ago and found it to be OUTSTANDING!!!! I went with some friends for lunch the other day and it was a M E S S., so 3 stars it is to even out my feelings. When we went the other day the lady told us they were out of the Green Stripe pizza, which I thought was weird to be out of something that is just comprised of a bunch of other things. So we asked what part of it was out and she said the pesto drizzle, so, seeing that they can do a pesto sauce that is on the base and it was available...we just did that. Which...is probably an easier solution than telling someone you are completely out of an item? We also wanted a Red Vine, turns out they were out of tomatoes? Red Vine is my fav and the tomatoes certainly take a normal margherita style pie to the next level. This pizza was totally not the same without them. We also got the BBQ chicken. I really enjoyed the Gorgonzola and banana pepper rings, but I don't think I would order this one again. The first time I went I got the Red Vine and it was one of the freshest, best pizzas I have had in a while. But, IDK what the heck happened here! The pizza fell off, the only way I can explain it. We have been fans of this chain since we first were introduced to the Williamsburg location. The make your own pizza is fun to build and filling to eat! We love to have them STACK the veggies (we are vegetarian). There are four sauces, multiple cheeses and 20+ veggie toppings as normal as black olives and as unusual as kalamata olives, roasted garlic, zucchini, and artichokes. The unique drinks make this a soda safari! The line of Blue Sky sodas and of course the Blood Orange lemonade, Blueberry Hibiscus and Matcha Agustin Frescha are all awesome! Worst experience ever!!! To whomever it may concern,   I am 32 years old and this is by far the WORST pizza experience I've ever had.  I flew into MD from Vegas to see family I haven't seen in 4 yrs. I ordered pizza from Blaze, 40$ worth. I ordered 2 pepperoni pizzas and a grilled chicken pesto pizza with a brownie, fanta, and 4 knot order. The driver called as he picked it up telling me they were messing it up and to ensure its correctness.  When it arrived I received 3 pepperoni pizzas the knots were burnt and everything else was okay (brownie n soda). I ordered this to spend time with family. I called the first time to ask about my grilled chicken pesto pizza. The lady answered and said shed handle it. I asked her to call to let me know if I was getting a refund or new pizza. I waited 30 min before I called back. A gentleman answered and then told me they had been out of pesto all day. I asked for a refund and he said I had to wait till next day. I asked for a manger. I've now been on hold for 47 min waiting on a manager.. I'm now on my way to your restaurant because this is embarrassing. I got there to explain and was given expired coupons and they were too "busy" WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Love this place! Really appreciate the fact that I can make my own vegan pizza by leaving out the cheese! They do have vegan cheese as an option. This place is setup like chipotle but for pizza. This has got to be one of the most friendly and down to earth places in Laurel. I take my three kids here all the time and the manager remembers their names and treats them like VIPs. Very easy but fast paced pizza joint. You go down a line and let them know which pizza you want and then it's a big free for all!! Any toppings as much or as little as you want!! That's the jist I got from it! The seating area is fairly large and can accommodate huge parties if necessary. The pizza dough is already pre made and it's thin crust, then you wait in for your name to be called and your pizza to be ready. There are a few "finishers" which are sauces the person at the very end of the line can top your pizza with before cutting and boxing it up. There aren't any packs of cheese and pepper flakes so you will have to put that on yourself before leaving. All in all the pizza tasted really good and you can't go wrong if you like thin crust and you pick your toppings so ultimately you know what flavors you like and don't like ! read more

This was my first time here and I have become addicted. Walked in to The smell of baking goodness. The decor reminded me of an old factory with high ceilings and low well places lighting. It had a cozy feel even though it was packes! The assortment of toppings blew my mind and to find out that I could add as many as I wanted and the price would kill me, made me excited. The staff could be more personable , however, it will not deter me from coming back. The wait time from oven to table was relatively short and the pizza was amazing!!! read more

If you want good pizza, come to Blaze. Honestly, I'm not sure why there isn't more Blaze locations around this neck of the woods. This is way, way better than MOD Pizza, &Pizza, etc. We first tried Blaze back in 2015 when there was a location inside Westfield Montgomery. From the first time, we were HOOKED! It immediately became our spot. 4 years later, we're still hooked. After Blaze shut down in Bethesda (big mistake), we followed the pizza train to Laurel. We've been coming here ever since....although our frequent visits became fewer and fewer the past year due to one too many disappointments. We noticed there started to be a lot more of a younger staff; like just starting college age. Boy, did the customer service and food quality go down quickly! We were so upset because this was OUR SPOT!!! We drove 30-40 mins for good pizza, and now it didn't hold up to its title. Up until today! Thank you Jesus! Today we arrived with empty stomachs, crossing our fingers it wouldn't be a disappointment again. And it's been the best customer service and taste we've had in a while here! We noticed there was a middle aged man who seemed to be running things now. We looked at each other in relief! The restaurant looked so much neater, cleaner, the bathrooms were in good condition, and what we really came here for....THE PIZZA, was delicious, the same taste that had us coming back for more. Okay, I dislike leaving this review but I think it needs to be done. So, I went to this location to get a few to-go pizzas. My beginning experience was great (meaning the individuals who put the toppings on the pizza). My experience took a turn when I got to the end and encountered this gentleman in the picture. You may wonder, why is she taking a picture of him?!? Do me one favor and examine the picture. You see, he has on a mask, zoom in to the mouth/nose part. You see it? YESSSS IT'S DIRTY!! We ordered delivery through the web site. The site said our food had been delivered when it hadn't, so we called the store. The store basically said they had no responsibility for the delivery. Not sure WHO we were supposed to hold accountable, since we ordered from THEIR web site. They said we could come pick it up...we said paid for delivery because we didn't want to go out. So they said they would give us a refund...and we would have to come into the store to get it!!!! Then, almost an hour after we were supposed to have gotten the food, someone finally showed up with it. So now we have paid almost $40 to have COLD pizza and breadsticks that both sucked delivered to us, And the store was rude to us on the phone too. Worst customer service ever. I came on a weekend afternoon and it wasn't too busy. The line did have a few people but the whole pizza process didn't take long to be baked and ready. One of the best things about Blaze Pizza is that they offer unlimited toppings. Also, the size of the pizza is perfect for one adult. This place is dope! The end. I have to go on record as saying I don't even LIKE thin crust pizza and I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied. With the ambience of a livelier Chipotle or an upscale subway, the procedure is similar. You begin at the lil partition, pick a pie or salad and they construct it down the assembly line and toss it in the pizza oven as you wait. Cost pennies. Maybe 8 bucks for all that food. Ten if you get a drink. Delicious. I had the Meat eater. Sausage, pepperoni, plenty of mozzarella on 11" of really tasty chewy yet crispy dough. It literally took about 6 minutes and they were calling me to grab my pizza. Piping hot and just REALLY good. They have the run of the mill fountain drinks, but screw em. Have the blood orange lemonade. It's freaking freedom in a cup. It's so good all the employees appear to have a rotation to drink it on break. :) There are no waiters but ppl still walk around checking on you, offered to refill my drink or grab me napkins, which I thought was really nice and helpful. I am sooo spoiled by the "deliciousness" of this pizza. Really. Blaze has spoiled my taste buds. To me, no other pizza compares to this pizza. It is probably because this is pizza made "my way". Alright... So, I was very reluctant to go here b/c after you have had &Pizza, you are a skeptic that anything can be as good as that. And the pictures on Yelp didn't really sell me. But it was late at night and our options were limited so I agreed. I soon realized that the pictures didn't do it justice b/c either 1) people DO NOT know how to load up the toppings or 2) the people are just plain Janes that only like cheese and pepperoni. So I'm adding my pictures to show you how it's done. If you see "ovalini mozzarella" and don't know what it is, don't skip it! It's fresh mozzarella and you WANT that on your pizza. I am also a huge fan of stinky cheese so had to add gorgonzola, yum! Oh and the roasted cloves of garlic... pure deliciousness. What else did I add? What else did I NOT add haha. I threw in some (a lot of) bacon, Italian sausage, Kalamata olives, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, pepperoni, red onions, basil, olives and spicy tomato sauce. The pizza is pretty big after it's all done so count on leftovers! The service is here is also great. She really loaded up my pizza and told me when I was making good choices haha. We ate there and one guy even asked us how we were doing. Tried the blood orange lemonade. Meh, it was too sweet for me. Added some water to it like a grandma and thought it was alright. 3.14.2015. Pie Day. Or $3.14 for an unlimited topping, artisan-style thin crust pizza day. I don't live very close but drove about 50 miles round trip for the promotion and, even though the line was almost out the doors at 1 pm, I'd do it again. For the employes who enthusiastically worked nonstop in the assembly line process, you're awesome. Seriously. As for the product? As some have mentioned , the crust doesn't have an authentic slow fermentation flavor and doesn't develop those amazing air pockets in the super hot oven because of the way it's rolled out. So. What. Seriously, it's 7.50 or so for whatever toppings you want on an 11-inch pizza, and the quality and freshness of the ingredients are beyond anything you could ever get this side of a sit-down restaurant. The cheese selection is great. Fresh mozzarella and fresh ricotta are rich and sumptuous and take on an amazing texture in oven, while also having goat cheese is a huge plus. The sauteed onions and zucchini will make your kids love vegetables, and they'll put as much meat on your pie as you want, including turkey meatballs. LOVE the signature sauce. My only advice is to not go as crazy as I did and overload your pie, and ask them to go easy on the roasted garlic. The cloves are huge and intensely sweet and flavorful after roasting, but if you're pie guy is in a rush he might not realize just how much he's putting on. Seriously. Best fast casual pizza I've ever had, and rivals sit down Italian restaurants which charge twice the price. read more

If Chipotle and your local pizzeria had an illegitimate baby and then someone put that baby in your mouth, this would be it. The way it works is pretty simple.... you choose what kind of sauce and toppings you want from a "Chipotle-style" assembly line..... once you get to the end the ovenmaster takes your raw pizza and fire-cooks it in a pretty sweet-looking oven. It may be kind of confusing to some on their first visit, but the employees that are in the assembly line will ask you if it's your first time, and they seem pretty happy to help any newcomers through the process. I'm not a fan of kitschy gimmicks OR thinner-crust pizzas so I was mad skeptical at first, but once it came hot and fresh to the table I felt like I went to church and became a believer and Blaze pizza was the pastor. In my experience, the pizza went from raw to fully-cooked and at the table in less than 5 minutes.... and the artisan-like quality and taste of the pizza was actually surprisingly amazing. Pretty good for a new little spot. The atmosphere was warmly lit and very relaxing, versatile enough that you could go alone, bring a friend, or even bring your kids. I went on a Sunday with little to no time waiting in line.... so I will definitely be coming back to see what the food and customer service is like on a busier day. If the quality remains consistent.... then this place would definitely go up from four to 5 stars at that point from me. read more

Today was the second time my husband and I built our own pizzas at Blaze, and it is the second time we have been absolutely floored by the results. We absolutely love this place, and usually can only get about halfway through a pizza before having to take the rest of it home. My pizza today consisted of: spicy marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan, goat cheese, feta crumbles, grilled chicken, applewood bacon, ham, and pepperoni. I also asked the gentleman making my pizza to put a little rock salt on the crust of my pizza, which he gladly did. Five minutes later wala - I had my own pizza. The restaurant is very clean, the people have always been nice to us, and it is always been packed every time we go in there. I've seen people in there as young as a couple years old, - people easily pushing there a tease. This is a great place to come, and my only complaint is that the restaurant does not have enough seating. Then again, that's never a bad thing when it comes to the restaurant business. If you don't have time to eat inside, or if there's not enough seating, definitely come in and take this pizza home. It's just as good now as it will be 12 hours from now. I've always wanted to try this pizza spot and so I finally did today. I love the gluten free dough option and the brick oven style of cooking the pizza. It looked delicious however looks were deceiving. I tried the white top pizza and it was extremely salty which made it hard for me to enjoy. I went in expecting to help balance my review bar chart with a low rating, given my experience with another chain that customizes pizzas, which shall remain unnamed but my time in Italy and math training make me want to change the "and" to a "not". I was very pleasantly surprised. Italian pizza goes light on the toppings, and I admit I got a bit greedy with all those choices. It was cool to jazz it up a bit with Gorgonzola and fresh basil leaves, and the meat toppings were decent quality. The big deal was the crust. It was rather thin in the northern Italian style, but had texture and flavor and a bit of spotting and blistering from the properly hot flaming oven, crisp outside and chewy inside. Truly authentic? Hell no, but at least within the genre and a good deal at $7.85 for a 12" pie. Other notes: the space is pseudo industrial, high ceiling with exposed ducts and pendant lights. Lots of hard surfaces so I'd bet it gets noisy when crowded. Furniture is is pretty plain, background music is generic pop. Not really designed to make you want to hang out and enjoy the free WiFi all day. I enjoyed the blood orange lemonade, an extra layer of flavor on the usual stuff. And one nit to pick: the slices did not separate easily, I wish they'd leaned a little more heavily on the cutting wheel. Three and a half stars for the taste, rounding up for the value. First time visit was Good;.would return the next time I'm in that area or try another location. The topping choices are sort of limited or just different than what im used to at the & Pizza chain, but not a let down. The 11 inch round crust pizza was tasty in its own special way. The six slices were definitely filling, so get it to go, but sit there and eat what you can while its hot. Reheating or eating it cold doesn't do it justice! They only offer one dessert; a Cookie S'more, which comes served room temperture or oven toasted! :-) The line gets long from time to time, but moves fast thanks to the 180 seconds (3 minutes) cook time. Seating can be tricky for parties over 4 in this somewhat small location (large compared to & Pizza's H Street location) across from a movie theater! The service is friendly and quick. The only downfall I notice, besides the topping choices was the fact I couldn't get a credit card receipt for an order under $25, when a pizza only cost approx. $7.95!!! read more
