This dope black female owned coffee cafe spot is definitely a great vibe with the walks decorated in great black art. Its located on an adjacent portion of the Laurel shopping center. The impressive menu of interesting enthused caffienated or non options are many. The staff was very much attentive busy at work preparing the selections of the patrons. I chose the regular acai bowl and the 16oz Camp fire Night iced latte w/oatmilk(its a seasonal favor). I absolutely enjoyed my purchase. This place offers a very relaxed and quiet atmosphere with abundance of seating. The environment is conducive to sitting with the dazzling sun enjoying the moment at the high top or seating low chairs, doing a little reading or work on your computer. The options are up to you but the vibe and setting is everything. While sitting here enjoying my acai bowl and latte, I watched the lady come in with more beautiful black art pieces. Not that I looked specifically to seek out a female owned cafe during National female month; it was my pleasure to have patronized a dope black female owned business. Love Life Cafe in Laurel is a fantastic spot with a genuinely inviting atmosphere and excellent customer service. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel right at home. I'm always on the lookout for solid plant-based meals, so I was thrilled to see that their menu features plenty of vegan options for wraps and handhelds. I ordered the chickpea wrap, and it absolutely delivered--it was heavily loaded, super filling, and packed with great flavors. Their coffee is also very good and paired perfectly with the food. There are only two main reasons this isn't quite a 5-star rating for me. First, the prices do lean a bit on the higher end for a cafe. Second, while their savory vegan options are great, they unfortunately don't have any vegan desserts to finish off the meal. One of the standout features of this cafe, though, is its commitment to the local community. The walls are covered with incredible pieces by local artists, which gives the space such a wonderful, creative energy. They even host an artist meetup every Saturday at 1:00 PM for anyone interested in connecting. Overall, Love Life Cafe is a solid 4-star experience. The perfect place in Laurel to grab a quick match, coffee, or pressed juice! It's a friendly atmosphere with personable staff. My favorite bite on the menu is the curry chickpea wrap. It's flavorful and filling! The matcha is pretty tastey and there are several flavors to add to the mix to have it made to your liking. There's also a run club that meets at the coffee shop routinely to encourage fitness in the community. I thoroughly enjoy my visit each time! This is my go to cafe in Laurel. I love the artwork and ambiance every time I visit. Recently I tried the pesto salad and wasn't all that impressed. I understand it's a healthy menu but me and my colleagues thought it could use more flavor. It's still a refreshing dish but I would go for the toast which is my favorite item on their menu, specifically the tomato. It isn't a huge café, but there are more than enough tables to bring a laptop, grab and seat and do some work if needed. The atmosphere was chill, light tunes were playing overhead and our barristers were attentive. I ordered a golden latte, and ja cappuccino chocolate muffin as I just had lunch and only wanted a little snack. The golden latte wasn't heavy on the turmeric, which was great. It was warm, comforting and had just the right amount of sweetness to it. The muffin was soft and serve served warm. I loved wall decor. You can tell that someone put a lot of time and love into this space and it works exceptionally well! I chose to order a drink from the seasonal menu called A Link to the Past as decaf and half sweet with oat milk in the iced 12 oz option. It was perfect! I grabbed the Local Tomato Toast as my breakfast/brunch option and it was so delicious! OMG. I wish I had of ordered another one to go! I did grab an overnight carrot cake quinoa bowl and a liver lover juice to go. I've never had a sweetened version of quinoa and now I want to try it that way more often! So good! The juice was tasty, too! There is ample parking in the lot. The prices were on par considering the ingredients and the quality of food that is offered there. I was told to try the same toast but with avocado spread vs pesto the next time as a nice switch up. I'll keep that in mind! I live in NoVa but travel to the Laurel area maybe infrequently. I got what people recommended and spent $18 on the cookies and cream Frappuccino with Oatmilk (which only comes in one size which was fine although they do charge extra for Oatmilk) and the almond butter and jam toast on sourdough. Everything was delicious and pretty fairly priced considering inflation I guess. Came with a friend and stayed until they closed. Great spot for people who work remote to come and chill. Customer service was good and my order came quickly. They do use paper straws which is better for the environment, but they do get warped pretty easily. I was traveling to attend a celebration of life and was in dire need of coffee before the services. I prefer patronizing a local spot versus a chain, whenever convenient. My default order is a dirty chai when I go out to a new place for coffee. Their dirty chai with cardamom oat milk was the best I've had in a long time! So good I had to go back and try another coffee just to see if that was good too. Navi's Nektar is also worth a try with the unique combination of ube lychee for the macchiato. The barista felt my drink needed a sweet touch so she added vanilla to my drink. I really appreciate her effort to ensure I loved my drink. The drink was amazing and I'll now ask for that shot of vanilla in my latte. The owner also offered us samples of their most popular juices. We tried the Eye See Sunshine and Liver Lover. When I came across this trendy specialty coffee shop a few months ago, I promised myself to check it out the next time I'm in town. I was determined to fit it in my schedule despite the busyness of graduation season. The Love Life Cafe was established to uplift and inspire the community, to create a space for people to meet and experience fine coffees, fresh pressed juices, and healthy vegan forward food options made with puuure l-o-v-e. I really do love businesses with positive affirmations or messaging in their decor. It creates an upbeat, welcoming and encouraging atmosphere. This woman-owned cafe is located in the Laurel Shopping Center across from Route 1, which is easy to get to and parking was available. I stepped into a lovely love-filled oasis. The staff were magnificent...very patient with me since it was my first time. I ordered a strawberry rose latte from the menu then saw the sample toasts displayed in the glass and picked the avocado toast (includes marinated tomato, pickled onion, crispy garlic) later on I ordered the coffee cake. Overall, my experience was terrific. The coffee and food was sooo delicious and all freshly made. Loving my life to the fullest! I visited one time on Thursday, March 21. I was doing a detox and had an Acai bowl from here. I'm not a big Acai bowl person, maybe once a year, but it was so delicious! Better than any other I've had. Staff was nice. Cute place as well. I found out they participate on an app (which a friend told me about recently where I can get significant discount). I don't want to say the name of the app as it's a very limited number of discounts.
