Not a great experience. Even though there were 4 people working behind the counter and only myself & 3 other people in line, it took over 15 minutes just to get 2 of us through the line with our pizza's made and ready to cook. I was also disappointed that when I asked for toppings, they were just thrown on, many spilling over the sides of the pizza and so each bite had a hodgepodge of flavors because ingredients were hastily added without being distributed properly. The indie-music was blasting over the speakers and it made it excessively loud to talk while eating. The crust was pretty bland but at least the pizza was fire cooked pretty well. I didn't love any of the flavored juices. I asked for some balsamic sauce and my pizza got drenched in it (wish it had been a smaller, stream of sauce evenly disbursed). First impressions: The poor employees were super understaffed! Only 3 of them at 7:15pm, but they worked like champs! Nice relaxed atmosphere, decent selection of drinks with some specialty sodas. Surprisingly clean for how swamped this place was. This joint is like the Subway of pizza - similar to Pizza Studio - where you can create your own pizza and choose toppings as they move down the bar. The Pear Cucumber Agua Fresca was nice and light, great to sip on while waiting eternity for our food. Husband did the Pick 2 - Half of a BBQ Chicken pizza and 4 garlic pesto knots. He opted to have some of the white cream sauce as a base and it was a great choice. Their bbq sauce wasn't overwhelming, which was another plus. The garlic knots were warm, perfectly cheesy, and cooked to perfection. I "built" my pizza with their great Pepperoni and lots of veggies. Great crust, thin and light but still fluffy and moist. A solid pizza as a whole, though I was a bit disappointed when I asked for a little bit of olive oil as my "finish" and the kid proceeded to drench my beautiful pie. Also, as a spring special, you get a drink for $1 with any 11 inch pizza but alas, I was charged $2.75. They couldn't refund the difference, so gave me a brownie. The old process was better and felt more customized and gave the customer more satisfaction to the pizza they were creating. We were ordering takeout on our app. And the app, despite putting a hold on my credit card did not process the order. After 50 minutes of no pizza showing up, I called and realized they did not have the order. This would have been the second time that doordash and the app messed up our dinner plans. I called and the employee immediately corrected the situation and got our order ready. Despite having to pick it up, she totally took care of us and was so sweet and kind. Not ideal. Glad they are busy. It is 7pm on a Friday so I understand and they move through the line relatively quickly. Best part is that they seem to have two girls or so constantly cleaning/clearing tables and emptying trash and refilling drink station. One even added olives to my toddler's pizza after it had gone in the oven when I said they could just throw them on top as a finish. Blaze was yummy! My husband and I have a lot of favorites in UT, and when we visit we usually try to hit a few! We tend to stick to what we love since we don't have a ton of time, but decided to try Blaze one day for lunch. I loved the build-your-own aspect. (Kramer knew best... anyone?) I opted for the BBQ chicken pizza and added pineapple. It was really tasty! I loved the Gorgonzola and the banana peppers, both ingredients I probably wouldn't have thought to add on my own. It's a really good size, and I ended up taking half home for later. I do think that it's better fresh and doesn't reheat super well, as I wasn't as big of a fan when I tried the leftovers. (That doesn't impact my review, just something I noticed!) The only reason I gave four stars instead of 5, was because I ended up coming again and got the same thing, and it wasn't as good. And I would definitely recommend the spicy red sauce - it gives your pizza a nice kick. okay, the thing is- i really wanted to give blaze some love because i love the fact that they have vegan options now, but after my most recent experience, i just can't & i don't think we'll return either. we came for dinner on a thursday night just a couple weeks ago. i haven't been to this location in yearsss. my husband went vegan two months back & the vegan options in utah county are slim, so even though he's not a huge fan of blaze, we decided to come give it a shot. they're now serving vegan cheese, a vegan chorizo, they have a couple vegan sauces & their dough is vegan, & obviously a large selection of veggies. my husband & i both made our own pizzas, i included red sauce, the v cheese, v chorizo, banana peppers, garlic, red onion, oregano & salt, my husbands was almost the same plus a few added veggies. both of our pizzas barley had any toppings on them. we watched a younger girl make our orders, but she was as skimpy as she possibly could've been. all we had was the two small pizzas & one drink to share, & the bill was $25. the food came out decently quick but it was lacking flavor & was the lightest, but most expensive meal i had had in a long while. my husband didn't fill up on it at all, he went through the taco bell drive through next door right after for some dollar menu items. we spent probably around $30 on a crap dinner between the two restaurants. like, sorry but no thanks! if i'm paying $25 for personalized pizzas, they better be filling! like why not load up the toppings?? i will take my business to mod or pieology instead from now on. they both have vegan options as well & are probably cheaper & less skimpy. read more

I got the meat lovers' but swapped out red onion for mushrooms and added gobs of fresh ricotta. Served hot from the oven and with a side of tangy fresh blood orange lemonade, it does right by my tastebuds. And even if it's not the kind of pizza you call all your friends about, for $7.95 I'll happily sing its praises. The simplified menu was awesome. I don't like too many choices. Takes too long I get hangry. Staff was friendly and kept asking me " Does that look good?". I first heard about Blaze Pizza on Buzzfeed's online show, "Worth It." My son and I watch the show together so we planned to try it out as soon as we got a chance. The chance was a long time coming but we finally got there Saturday for lunch. The set-up is like Subway with pizza. You order and pick what sauces and toppings you want. Then they toss your pizza in a fiery oven and minutes later you have a delicious thin crust pizza. The actual creation of your meal takes a bit longer than I expected, but the final product is pretty great. The positives:a set price no matter how many toppings, and a low-priced option if you want cheese only or just one topping. The crust itself is another big positive. It's good! Having recently tried another chain in this style that has a crust more like cardboard...Blaze Pizza's crust gets 2 thumbs way up! The negatives: The actual organization of labor to create the pizza is a bit confused at times. Both of our pizzas were sitting and waiting to be sliced longer than necessary so by the time I ate it wasn't piping hot like I'd hoped. Also, the "olive oil drizzle " I requested turned out more of a flood so...yeah. But! I would definitely come back. The leftovers reheated well and my kiddo LOVED his pizza and has asked already about a return trip. I'll just know better about what to expect! read more

I came here for lunch with some colleagues. They will build pizza with any toppings you want for $7.95. I got the art lover and added chicken, bacon, sautéed onions, and basil. It was a good pizza. Not the best crust I have ever had, but pretty good. The thing that really impressed me was that my teammate's pizza came out a bit blackened, and Cristina told him they would make him another one. These personal pizza places are all of the craze right now and I feel like Blaze, while good, doesn't have anything to special going for it. The only thing unique that I enjoyed was the spicy red sauce they had for the pizzas, it was good and very spicy. They had a good amount of meat and vegetable topping options. I wasn't a huge fan of their sausage, but the pepperoni and zucchini were very good. I felt like the staff wasn't especially friendly and since it was my first time I noticed zucchini after they were done putting vegetables on there and it seemed like a big inconvenience to have to go back two feet and grab it. Went to Blaze when I first arrived in Utah with my brother. It's very similar to other make-your-own pizza places such as MOD and fired pie. Nonetheless, it offers a nice variety of different toppings and custom pizzas that you can create as well. Overall I would rate it 5 stars.
