The food here is always so fresh no matter what you order! My favorite is their club and provolone sandwich. It has mayonnaise/mustard sauce, turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes. I typically get the lettuce and tomatoes off mine. The bread is so soft and fresh. The sandwich is huge! You could easily share it. I also love their bakery items. Everything I've tried is really good! Any of their cookies are delicious, their black magic cake is the best chocolate cake I've ever had, any of their bars are always so fresh and soft, and their cinnamon rolls are the best I've ever had! The dough to frosting ratio is perfect. They will most times have day old cinnamon rolls up near the register for almost half off and they still taste fresh. So if you're looking to save a little money and still get something good I recommend looking for those! They were advertising near the register that they now have an app to earn points and to order from. I downloaded the app while I waited in line and when I went to use it they said it's not working and said to try again next time. Kind of strange to be advertising an app that you can't even use yet but maybe next time it will be. You really can't go wrong with anything here. I've always had a good experience. Yikes. Normally, I'm a big VB fan. Huge!! I crave their sandwiches on the daily. Today I decided to give the avocado toast a try and was very disappointed. It was not good. Zero seasoning and not much flavor. Which is very uncharacteristic of Village Baker, so I'm not sure if it was a one-off or if this is typical for the toast? I couldn't take more than a few bites before finding a protein bar to eat instead. I love Village Baker but I would not recommend the avocado toast. I love Village Baker for their Honey Rye bread. I always get the BLT Sandwich with the rye bread and it's so delicious. My favorite salad is the raspberry salad, and the chipotle salad. I've been to this location several times. Food has always been on point, never missing anything from my order. Service consistently polite from cashier to server to drive thru. Location has been pretty clean during my dine in visits. I can only remember once when the bathroom needed some TLC. My go to menu items: chicken salad and provolone on honey rye, chicken alfredo pizza, cheese bread & banana cake. While I've tasted several of their sandwiches, the chicken salad just keeps me coming back! Their pizzas are good and I was surprised from the first time I had them at the WJ location that they even sold pizza. Solid pepperoni as well. Chicken Alfredo is my favorite of the ones I've had here - honestly, a white sauce on pizza is my s#!+ and I order that wherever I go. Cheese bread when I don't want a pizza is a little pre-sandwich snack. So good with ranch. I never cared for banana cake, but this one is so moist and the frosting matches perfectly with it. Late last year in 2018 I came and ordered some food, some for my dad and some for me. 2 whole premium sandwiches with the premium price. It was take out and didn't bother to check that the order was correct, once I got to my dad's place (25 minutes away) found out they put in the wrong sandwich. The newest location in the VB Family and some slight differences than other locations. The layout of the restaurant is much, much better. Very sizable dining room and a good queue area that allows plenty of people to gather without feeling crowded. The breads are fresh, the sandwiches are huge, filling, and full of flavor. The soups are good ( I like the Chowder on Fridays) and though I've yet to try them, the salads look appealing. Like all businesses in this shopping center, parking stinks. It seems like every other parking stall is reserved for somebody's takeout or curbside, and you may hunt a minute for a stall. Not a huge deal but larger vehicles will hate all of the islands and curves in this lot. I think the BEST addition to this location is a drive through. No lettuce and no tomatoes. I received (this was at the drive through), a turkey sandwich, no avocado, with provolone cheese, with lettuce and with tomatoes. We did have a few mishaps with our ordering, we were missing cheese in a sandwich and she rang us up for a whole sandwich instead of a half. But they remedied the issues and it was fine after that. It had lard or fatty chunks instead of Turkey. The cheese was supposed to be cheddar but it was white and tasted rotten.
