Having not been back there since my last review, I decided to give it another try while in the Wichita area. Nothing has changed. It really isn't a "build your own" pizza, since they are extremely stingy with their toppings. My spouse got just cheese with a few pepperonis, and there was hardly any cheese on her pizza. God forbid you ask for more cheese, since they will look at you as if you committed the ultimate sin. The staff is rude, and the place is always dirty. read more

Fabulous! The pizza artists (I think so as they create masterpieces) were very friendly and helpful in choosing our pizzas. Atmosphere is fun and comfortable. Love the options for vegetarian and even vegan. I got the veggie pizza with everything I could possibly want (perfection), hubby got a combo type of his choices and our daughter got a variety of cheeses on her pizza. We shared two cinnamon breads. (Couldn't eat it all and the boxes are perfect to take the rest home) All custom made so you know it's gonna be good. Great deal going on now for $35. 3 pizzas and 2 sides makes it a very affordable meal for 3. High recommend. Will be back for sure. read more

Fast, casual build your own pizza bar. Select one of five crusts for your 11 inch pizza. Select you own toppings or go with popular combos like bbq chicken, white bacon or multiple meats. We both opted for take two which is half a pizza and a salad or breadsticks. The pizza was okay. The original crust is "cardboard thin" and while it cooks quickly, it overcooks quite easily. The flavor of the bbq chicken and hot link pizza were pretty okay. The breadsticks were quite good. Nice and cheesy. The accompanying marinara was cold and bland. The Caesar salad was good; nothing special. The time from placing your order to picking it up at the counter is 5-10 minutes depending on how busy they are. Pizzas take minutes to cook. We had a mediocre experience. The person who took our order was mumbling which made it difficult to understand where we were in our order. After ordering, the person making the order needed us to repeat each order and ingredients as it was being made. I understand ordering in advance, or order as it is being created, but doing both caused some confusion. The food was good and met our expectations from previous experiences. This was the bright spot of our experience. The dining room needed some work. It was thankfully slow enough that we were able to find a place to avoid the dirty tables. read more

Food was really good. Prices are ok for what you get. But they have a lot of issues. The soda machine was out of ice. The staff was informed numerous times and no employee did anything about it. When paying $3 for a drink, it would be nice to have ice. Service wasn't great. They had 8 employees working which was fantastic. However, the line moved so slow. Took 20 minutes to get through the line and it wasn't that busy. Also, I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza, the gentleman taking the orders said if I wanted anything else added on, tell the employee who is making it. The website also encourages this. However, when I told the employee to add on 2 things, he had a disgusted look on his face and rudely said "next time order the choose your own toppings option." Place was extremely dirty. When you go in, do NOT look up. The air vents have inches of filthy dirt and dust on them. Some of the booths were filled with empty pizza boxes. The flavor of both my pizzas were very good but the crusts should have been cooked much longer. They open at 11 and I ate there at 11:30. They didn't have any cookies or s'more pies made. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. There wasn't any lemonade. I love Blaze Pizza! I always have appreciated the great taste, LOVE their sauces and gluten free offerings, but also the "chef's creations." Tonight's experience made me love their service as well as their food. Would give a 10+ if I could! Definitely recommend you try them for yourself! Due to illness in our house, we have had to use delivery more than eating at the restaurant. We order from Blaze Pizza online, as opposed to ordering from the delivery service (doordash) to help the restaurant. Tonight, we placed our order. We waited as we could see our order being picked up by our 'dasher' in the tracking link. As we watched the 'dasher's car passing our neighborhood, and then stopping a good 5 miles to the west of our house, at 5 minutes past the original ETA, we tried to reach the 'dasher' with both phone calls and text messages, in case s/he had needed assistance or direction. No response or answer. We did see our ETA for delivery change from 5:30 to 5:40, then to 5:45, then to 5:50 - all with the car not moving. Then, we got a message that our "dasher" had delivered our food by handing it to us. ! A complete lie of course. I couldnt get a refund from Doordash for the meal (two 11" Garlic and Sausage pizzas) because we had ordered through the restaurant. So, I called Blaze Pizza. I spoke with a waiter who got a "member of management" named Sterling. Without me requesting this, he offered to deliver the pizzas to me himself. I couldn't believe this!! Without a doubt one of the kindest things he could have done for us. We had been so disappointed and then, elated of course by his very 'above and beyond' service and kindness. Blaze had very friendly staff very clean and the smell of pizza being made throughout the restaurant. Would for sure recommend it's on the East side off Greenwich and K96 area. read more

Just had the worst pizza I have ever had. Sauces have no flavor. Tried the keto crust which was a $4.50 upcharge on the $9.95 small pizza Crust was burnt. I was actually excited to see a Keto crust option so I ordered it instead of having a cheat day. Manager at the wichita kansas location let one of his employees talk trash to a customer, and instead of difusing the situation, he told the customer to leave....while said employee was still screaming obscenities across the restaurant. it's a shame that the party of 11 that was with her, left too, and none of us will be returning. We ate here for Pi Day so there were long lines but extra staff and a DJ made the wait go fast. The pizza is fresh, hot and has good flavor. Wish there regular crust was a little thicker. Blaze Pizza is everything I expected and more! They are located in a newer development area which is great so if you looking to head out that way there is plenty to do other than just going to Blaze Pizza. When I first arrived the place had a line, but they did a great job getting people in and out of line and preparing their food. I chose to order a gluten free pizza build it yourself. All the bread here is homemade and it appeared that the gluten free bread was as well. I was actually surprised when I saw their gluten free bread because it looked just like the other bread on the tray. If you have any dietary restrictions this place has it all for you. So I have not had cheese in months but that's ok I still wanted to check the place out and see what the craze is about their amazing pizza, so after I ordered my pizza I was able to choose from different sauces: Pesto, Red Sauce, and Spicy Red Sauce. Then you pick your cheese! The best part of this was they actually had dairy free vegan cheese!!! I asked for a sample taste of it and they gave me some and surprisingly it was the best vegan cheese I had ever had. Like a complete surprise so I had him put it on half my pizza since I was not sure if I would like it and it actually ended up tasting fine sprinkled on verses placed all over the pizza like a normal pizza. Then you have your toppings to go through and wow do they have a lot to choose from. It actually gave me ideas on what to do if I ever made a homemade pizza again. They had everything from your normal vegetables to pineapple, zucchini, and much more. They also had meat options that looked tasty but I skipped those to deck out my with all the wonderful vegetable and fruit options. Once your pizza is all done and baked they even offer to place some additional toppings on it. I went with FRESH Oregano. Usually I only have this on my pizza dried but it really was outstanding placed on top as a fresh topping. You have to try this place. The employees are always cheerful with a smile and want to make sure you have a great experience from start to finish. An employee even came buy and politely made sure I was enjoying my pizza. To make the place feel even more local they had a photo of downtown river walk blown up to fit the entire wall size. It really gives it a good local feel to Wichita. They also have a variety of seating options in their seating area. The chairs are comfortable and the atmosphere is great for a social setting with friends or family. Blaze Pizza reminds me of the Chipotle of Pizza places. They have a great verity of choices but overall it is not a place I suggest going. The only reason I come her is because my wife likes it a lot. Typically I order a build it your own BBQ pizza but it just doesn't do it for me overall. I like the atmosphere and the people are great I just don't think the quality is as good as some other pizza places I enjoy. For something quick and easy I would say this place is good. It was fast. But at lunch we had to wait for them to fill many toppings from the back. The pizza was not hot when my name was called. I would rather wait longer to get warm/hot food. Also had to ask him to cut it 2x. They need sharper pizza cutters. And when you cut it (and i had to because all the darn toppings slid off my first one i grabbed) you are cutting through the paper they put it on. Why do they need paper that gets soggy under the pizza? Because now I'm wondering if I'm eating their soggy dough with or without the paper. Not happy. Don't think I'll be back. We have loved Blaze Pizza since before this location opened. My wife is allergic to 7 common food ingredients, including common replacements for the obvious ones she's allergic to (like wheat, and also almond). Blaze is one of the few places we *CAN* eat out together, and the food is always phenomenal. We love the ingredients and less-unhealthy soda fountains. The service always ranges from reasonable-to-great, when we wait in line and order in-store. The last 3 times that my wife has ordered via the mobile app, the staff have straight-up NOT made her order. 1 of the last 3 times, they made mine, but they have simply NOT MADE her pizza. Today she used all of her points ("flames") on her pizza, and we didn't have time to wait, since this was supposed to be our solution to a time crunch. Today was the first time that we received free pizza vouchers as compensation. If we had not, I would plan for us to not return at all. The remaining 3 stars are for the quality of the food itself and past good experiences. It seems that the latest wave of staff are either severely undertrained or not being proactively led. read more

Gluten free comfort. Living in Seattle, I don't worry much about finding a gluten/dairy free restaurant but coming to Wichita to visit family can make it feel overwhelming to find somewhere that feels safe for me to eat. My grandfather read online that Blaze offered gluten free dough and that they were careful with cross contamination. I (hesitantly) trusted his research and agreed to go. I told the staff I had celiac then inquired on how they put the sauce on the pizza's - was it same utensil from same container all the other pizzas get. I was told they had a separate container only used for the gluten free pizza's and that they would change their gloves! They cleaned off their pizza press before putting my gluten free dough on and I watched them get my sauce from a separate container. I choose to not do dairy (vegan... yeah yeah, I know... gluten free girl makes it harder for herself) so I opted out for cheese BUT they do offer a vegan cheese [I just don't personally care for it]. The toppings were very scarce, despite paying the extra money to "build your own" and get "as many topping as you want". I didn't even do cheese and was still cheated on the four veggie toppings I asked for. Kind of a bummer and the reason why I didn't give 5 stars. I asked the man cutting the pizzas how he would cut mine (worried about cross contamination) and he showed me a specific red pizza cutter used just for gluten free pizzas aaand he said he would change his gloves. I truly can't have gluten so rarely eat out because cross contamination is just too risky. I do feel the employees at Blaze took extra care with my pizza and it means a lot because I already feel bad enough having to come across as "picky" because of my disease. A good replacement for Pie 5 now that it's went out. Great make-your-own pizza assembly line (you tell them what to put on the pizza and they do it for ya). Or you can order a signature Pizza made from a recipe. Would've been nice if when we were there if they'd had a fully-stocked ingredients bar. We really enjoyed Blaze the first time we tried it, but today's visit was more than likely our last. Everything moved SO SLOW. All employees were doing small "busy work" kind of jobs and just watching customers wait instead of actually making the pizzas or ringing orders up. I watched one girl leave the register (with a line waiting) to sweep the same 8-foot section of the floor for 10 minutes. She only stopped when our son spilled his drink. She hightailed it out of there and was no where to be seen while we cleaned it up. My husband ordered a beer, but was told there was only one person who could pour it (age restrictions) but she couldn't be found in the building so he settled for a water. Let's be honest, if you're wanting pizza fast it's not coming from delivery. Our family is big on coming to Blaze pizza for a quick dinner especially with our busy life. Blaze offers their own specialty pizzas and you can build your own too. This is like a chipotle but for pizza ! I prefer to get the White Delight pizza which has a white sauce base and I add pepperoni to it ! Blaze also has a wide variety of fruit juices and the best fountain drink options made with cane sugar. I love Blaze and I've never not enjoyed my food here. The staff is always so kind and they keep the restaurant clean, stocked, and tidy ! The only down fall is that it can start to get a bit pricey after you choose to add drinks and the salad options. Oven fired pizza is my favorite, and this place is the Chipotle of oven fired pizza. You can order one of their signature pizzas ($8.25) or build your own (also $8.25) and choose from a wide assortment of unique toppings. (Well unique compared to other pizza places in town) As many toppings as you'd like for only $8.25! The only thing that costs extra is changing the type of dough. The pizza comes on their original dough which is thin, but if you prefer thicker dough or gluten free dough it's only $2.00 more. I love their toppings options. They have a number of different cheeses; including 2 different types of mozzarella, goat cheese, blue cheese, and ricotta. A ton of different veggies and meats and they also offer pesto or olive oil for a sauce on top of the usual red & white sauces. I love it! I loaded mine up with a variety of veggies. Mine consisted of pesto, chicken, pepperoni, goat cheese, blue cheese, mozzarella, FRESH BASIL LEAF, spinach, kalamata olives, jalapeños, mushrooms, roasted garlic, broccoli, & oregano. I love veggies! Especially grilled. All of this for $9! It was SOO good. My mouth is watering now just thinking about my pizza. They also offer salads, sides like dough knots, and desserts like S'mores pie. They also offer some pretty bomb drinks. 2 unique types of lemonade I think one was Blood Orange and I can't remember the other. A couple of flavored waters (like coconut water,etc) and the soda on tap is Blue Sky Soda; which I like, but have only seen at Wholefoods. It's cheaper than Pizza Hut & Papa John's & night/day difference in taste; it's so much better... SO MUCH BETTER! I love this place so much. Excellent pizza choices from pre-made combo favorites to building it yourself. Id always suggest the White Top and heard it's out of this world with some pesto as well.
