I had a very disappointing experience. The finish was poor, and the cuticle work was not done properly. I asked for gel nails, but they did acrylic instead without explaining or asking me first. The technician rushed through the entire appointment and kept stopping to help other customers, which made me feel ignored. On top of that, my nails were left uneven and lifted upward instead of having a natural shape. I expected much better quality and attention to detail. Would NEVER go to this place again. They sanded my nails down so far that they split a nail, they cut me when working in my cuticles, didn't listen when I said I was pressed for time. My nail tech took over five minutes to find the color I had picked out. Also, they only have that sms powder, no nail polish bottles that you can pick from. I was trying so hard to stay respectful but I kept telling them to stop and that I just wanted to leave. Meanwhile, they kept picking at my toes. I was there and hour and all they did was pick at my nails and grind 5 layers of nail away. They tried to give me a $50 gift card but I won't go back so I left without it. Was recommended by my sister in law too come here since the girl that does her nails always does an amazing job. I called the day before too request an appointment with her. They said no problem got my name and the next day at my appointment time I came in and noticed she had a client. I got a manicure and a pedicure. Gel on my toes acrylic with gel on my nails. Now the people themselves very nice and I'm sure are just trying too make a living but if they weren't doing appointments and weren't going too honor the request for a specific nail tech i would have liked too know. Instead I got a random man doing my nails and another random woman doing my feet. Again very nice and patient with me since I haven't been too a nail salon for 9 years but I digress... the girl that did my feet actually did great handling them but not so great with the polish or color. I chose my color but the swatches they have aren't what they are in reality. I chose a dark moody red and instead got a blood orange red. I didn't realize they were the wrong color till I saw it in sun light. The nail polish either had hard chunks or they polished over whatever was on there since I have sharp bumps on my nails. Add one of my nails are already lifting only 3 hours after getting it. I wanted too get a mommy pick up nail day after months of postpartum difficulties. I just had too cry on the way home since the $145 dollar price was paid for work that wasn't what I wanted quality wise or look wise. The guy was a bit rough but was apologetic so I'm not upset. But I have cuts on my cuticle areas and sides of my nails. I also asked if he could do a drawing of a duck on my nail but after attempt 3 I just settled on my set being just a French tip. I'm sure he's learning how to do nails but I would have liked someone that had experience if I wasn't even getting the tech I requested. Over all sore nail beds and sharp bumps that scraped my husband twice are not very happy with the outcome. Everyone is nice and the salon is clean. However, my reason for this review being 1star is the quality of the products they use. I've gone twice and each time the nails don't even last two weeks before they start popping off. If you have nothing more to do with your time other than get repairs every couple of days then go here. My nails broke because they are so skimpy with the layer of acrylic they put. I asked for thicker but she kept doing it thin saying it don't look natural. Well now I'm the one in pain because after a slight bump while packing, the nail broke cracking my real nail. Nails Center is my current go-to spot for nails because it is near my job and near home. I have been going here for about 1 year now and I have always had a pretty good experience here. They are always busy, which comes to show how many people come here to get their nails done. They recently moved to a new spot a couple doors down from their usual spot, and it is very sterile looking. I think I much preferred the old place better. But, new spot means new equipment, and I am ok with that. Nails Center always gets my mani pedi done right..it lasts forever and I love how they have a very diverse staff. I also like that they have nail techs there who can also do designs. Kay did mine and she was amazing! The only thing I would critique on is that I wish they had more color selection. Don't get me wrong, they do have a huge variety but they are not necessarily on trend colors. I also wish that they make this place feel more like a spa, instead of nail hospital!! LOL! If you want great mani pedi with some basic designs and colors, I totally recommend this place. You won't be disappointed. I had recently visited this place upon some recommendations and the proximity. The place is clean at first sight. The color selection was just ok. when i asked for Ombre the tech just said 'i don't do Ombre' if you don't do it then get someone who can do it. Also, i mentioned i needed a mani and pedi but the tech just started with the sns and i had to remind her midway i needed a mani. There seemed to be some sort of miscommunication of sorts going on with the employees and its just awkward as a customer when you have unpleasant just grumpy service. The pedicure was great. I frequent this nail salon often and mostly during the weekdays as I know visiting almost ANY nail salon can be a gruesome task on any given weekend. i got a fill in done friday and they started coming off 30 minutes after i left. on top of this, the manager did my eyebrows and took off a piece of my eyebrow. i asked for her to "clean them up & not to make them too thin" and they were not neat or clean. unfortunately, i had to work so i wasn't able to take care of it the same day, so i called and spoke with someone who told me to come back on sunday. i returned to have my nails fixed and see if i could be refunded for my eyebrows for them to tell me she's gone til wednesday, so there was nothing they could do. they also took almost 2 hours to fix 3 nails. and he was rushing. and they still came out bad. the 3 he "fixed" were thicker and misshaped than the rest of my hand. i appreciate Amira for taking the time to try to fix everything. she fixed the 3 nails to the best of her ability and took my contact information for the manager to contact me. read more

I came in right at 10 when they opened. They were not prepared and seemed disarrayed. As I was waiting after picking out my nail color they asked me wash my hands. There were no towels so they told me to go to the bathroom and get a paper towel. The bathroom smelled like urine, the seat was up, piss was everywhere and the sink and mirror were filthy. Let me start by saying my pedicure was amazing. The massage was at least 20 minutes and my tech really took her time. It went downhill on the paint and my manicure. As you can see in the picture, parts of my toenail were ignored, on just about every nail. I did not ask for this to be fixed because I didn't see it until I got home. The worst part is that another guy came over to look after she was finished, and he did a double take-like he saw the missing paint...and didn't even say anything! As for my manicure, this was horrible. They have the worst selection of SNS colors to begin with. I saw a color of what I wanted printed on a wall poster, so I chose that. When the woman brings back the powder and begins to put it on, I told her that wasn't the right color. She said "wait until the second coat", so I did. Again, when the second coat started I again told her that was not even close to the same color. I chose a mauve, my nails were a light tan. She proceeds to try to convince me that those were the same, as if I were color blind. The same guy from before noticed what was going on so he came over and tried to find a color that matched what was on the wall. The woman then tells me that "the numbers on the colors were mixed up" and still acted like it was my fault. The whole time the woman is talking in her language with other techs while looking at me and laughing. Do y'all actually think your customers are stupid? From the other reviews, it sure sounds like it. The man was apologetic, which I appreciate. And he truly did put in effort to try to find my color but at that point I couldn't wait to leave. I eventually just asked for the powder to be taken off and I left. I will not be back. If you can go to another salon, you should. Good luck. read more

I came in on my lunch break for a full set of acrylics and a pedicure. It took 2 HOURS to get everything done. I know acrylics take a bit but dang. The guy worked hard but there was SO MUCH filing. I've never had someone put on acrylic and file and acrylic and file. On top of that, my nails and toes didn't match. Apparently, the bottles were wrong. Finally, they changed it and painted the correct color. Also, they painted the wrong color on my toes to begin with and had to redo it. I felt so bad because they painted everything twice. Now, a week later, my acrylics are lifting and falling off. Not the best experience. At least they were understanding when they repainted my toes and fingers. read more

They did a good job & were able to get you seated quickly. Today, my tech was Amyra(?)... she was really sweet and did a fabulous job on my nails. My daughter had a full set done ( her first time getting nails) she said the guy was nice and did a good job, my other daughter had a women do her pedicure and she was awesome did everything she was supposed to. My pedicure was awful, I ordered the same pedicure as my daughter and he didn't massage but for 27 seconds. My daughters started 10 min before and my tech finished before hers did. He was disorganized and does not know how to massage. They were thirty seven minutes late in starting our appointment I will not return as I told the manager and she offered 5 dollars off, instead of the price of the actual service he performed, one experience was enough! read more

I wrestled with writing this review & it has actually taken me awile to write it. I have worked in Cobb County for the better part of 5 years and I have patronized all sorts of business' from 5 Star restaurants to Dollar Stores and I have been treated with nothing but respect. All that changed after visiting this place. Aside from the fact that each and everytime a Caucasian person walked thru the door, the lady attending to me completely stopped to assist them- I truly wish that I was exaggerating but it was so blatant that myself & my co-worker (who was of mixed race) actually commented on it and we were both ignored. So much so that even though we arrived within moments of each other ( I got there first) & we both got the same mani/pedi, her services were completed & she had to wait on me almost 35 minutes SMH. As if that was not bad enough, the nail tech botched my gel maincure and attempted to tell me it was my fault as my nails were "ribbed" (how when have natural nails???) and then attempted to charge me almost $10 more than what was listed on the PRE-PRINTED GLOSSY PRICE LIST that was handed to me when I walked in. When I attempted to question the price difference her English all of a sudden gets very poor & she starts repeating "We no cheat..you pay". The manager then comes over and shows me a different price list and says I have an old pamphlet....so I go to the register and pick up another price list pamphlet (there was a large stack of them) they ALL have the same pricing. The manager says to me "we no cheat you we honest you pay or we call Police". Now at this point I have my card in hand and I am at the register. I have not raised my voice nor have I behaved aggressively. I have questioned the printed price list and asked your nail tech to fix the sloppy gel polish yet your acusing me of not paying & threatening to call the Police. I was floored, completely blindsided as I collected my Visa and turned to leave, I swallowed the lump in my throat, held back the tears and proceeded back to work. My experience here was not good at all. Female manager was rude and was very pushy about upgrading pedicures and nails (even after telling her what we wanted). Then she overcharged me for my nails and did not want to give me, or the person with me an itemized receipt, even after asking for one. Joanne is definitely the best - she doesn't talk much (which I really like) and works quickly and professionally. She seems to be the hardest worker there. Decided to try this place out because it is a few blocks from my new office and maybe it will become my new nail shop. Was greeted less than enthusiastically by an unsmiling, unfriendly, silent technician. She did a light scrub on my feet and then painted all over my cuticles and toes. She was going to leave it that way until I stopped her from putting my sandal back on. While putting my sandal on, she messed up the polish on my big toe. Instead of redoing it, as they usually do, she sloppily painted over her mistake. I asked how much which she clearly understood and she typed in 23 into a calculator and showed it to me. Yelp offered a 20% discount, (which I've found most places don't offer, but it was worth a try) so I presented it. She exercised her right to remain silent and shook her head no.
