The Vanity Fair cocktail was refreshing and not too sweet. Cocktails are a little pricey but that is to be expected at a nice hotel. The Bleau Bar, is on the first floor and is the main lobby lounge at the Fountainebleau Las Vegas. It is perfectly positioned and cannot be missed with its stunning celiling decor and perfect lighting, that automatically lures you in, to spend time in their company. The environment is relaxing, the background music superb with comfortable seating types and a cozy atmosphere. There are good vibes all around. I ended up here to decompress after walking around this high end property and surveying its dining options. Upon seating, complimentary snacks are delivered and comprised of roasted cashews and air fried okra. While both were good, the latter was something new and refreshing. It is located right in the center of the gambling floor and you frankly cannot miss it as it is right under the beautiful sea of chandeliers. Well, after my first visit here, I can see this is my new favorite casino bar. A couple friends and I checked it out recently while we were looking over the Fontainebleau casino hotel. The item that sealed it for us was that smoking was allowed. However most people weren't, and being open air, smoke shouldn't be a problem for anyone other than people who just like to have something to complain about. We sat at the bar, and were promptly waited on. Looked at the drink menu, and usually these things are garbage, but I ended up getting several, which were all really good. I got the "Disco Bandit, Lucky Heist, and Shiso Crazy" drinks. Suntory whiskey, rum, and gin were used in the separate drinks. This place uses crazy big single ice cubes in some of their drinks. The one tall slim glass I got had an ice cube made for that glass. When you see it, you can see the ice cube is taking up the larger percentage of glass space. However, the drinks were all good, and all pretty strong, so none of us had any complaints about drink size. The bartender we had even gave us the over pours, so extra credit there. The bartender also kept us stocked up on freeze dried okra and cashews. Talked with us, answered all our questions, gave us a sample of some mixes. Really good service, friendly, made it fun, rather than a "here's a drink, stare at the sky" type of encounter. Anyway, we spent way too much money and time there, But it was a blast so we all plan on going back next trip to Vegas. I see some people having issues with service and such, but this trip was pretty much perfect. read more

Our last night in Vegas (7/12/24) we stopped at Bleau Bar for a couple drinks. The ambiance was nice, the drinks were very good. If I had to say one thing negative, it would be about the hostess that evening. I didn't catch her name but she was thin with reddish/orange looking hair. Let's be brutally honest: typically at Las Vegas mega-resorts, lobby bars tend to be unremarkable afterthoughts..........or side chicks as I like to refer to them as compared to one or two other marquee lounges onsite. The only exceptions to this that spring to mind that I've been to in the past include Encore's Lobby Bar, Circa's Vegas Vickie's and Vdara's VICE VERSA (I guess you can argue the Cosmopolitan's Chandelier Bar is a "lobby bar", but to me it doesn't really feel like a lobby bar considering it's multi-level and a considerable distance away from the actual hotel lobby). But overall, lobby bars are pretty forgettable in that many of them don't have any specialty cocktails and have much less atmosphere and identity compared to other lounges on property. ‍ Fontainebleau's Bleau Bar, fortunately, is a most noteworthy exception to that rule. It anchors the epicenter of their casino floor, and it's most certainly reminiscent of the elegance of the Rat Pack era with its scintillating interplay of golds, silvers and royal blues evocative of the Côte d'Azur and the carefree luxury that permeates its many seaside Mediterranean resorts...........as well as the leviathan grand chandelier that majestically looms above it: speckled with thousands of miniature crystal bowties which I can confirm I marveled and got lost in with my DJI Osmo Pocket 3 zoom feature for lengthy interludes. It most definitely feels simply being there is an experience in its own right. And their drink menu certainly follows suit as well. Usually drink menus at lobby bars lack creativity or an X-factor: adhering strictly to classic staples from your Sidecars to your Old Fashioneds to your Manhattans and your Negronis. Which they're certainly all classics for a reason and there's always a time and a place for timeless staples like them, but I'm always looking to expand my horizons and discover new experiential cocktails as well. And Bleau Bar certainly doesn't disappoint here as well: featuring an impressive ten signature cocktails and an additional two zero-proof ones, alongside many new twists on timeless classic cocktails as well. First I ordered the Pancakes & Dopamine. I'm an incurable dopamine seeker so that name alone magnetized me, as did the notion of blending four-year aged Bacardi rum, banana, cinnamon and dark sugar. It was such a spirited pick-me-up indeed that I would personally describe as if an Old-Fashioned and Jungle Bird met halfway: having the sophistication of the former and the whimsicality of the latter. My bartender Joseph (and his colleagues on-shift) were most attentive and cordial, and even offered some complimentary bar snacks in the form of lightly salted cashews and, much to my surprise, okra chips. I've never seen okra chips offered as a snack at any given lounge before, but I have to say this simply MUST be a trendsetter as they were delectable and made for such a pleasant, savory interlude in-between my two cocktails. Finally, I must mention that earlier that day I had spent four hours at the Oasis Pool and, while I was there, I befriended another solo traveler named Matt by happenstance that resulted in a substantive three-hour long conversation I never saw coming. Anyway; after I had returned to my room that early evening and freshened up, I was rustling through my text messages and Matt urged me to try The Stranger at the Bleau Bar. Heeding his advice, I ordered exactly that..............and Matt was by no means joking in that that was both the stunner of the evening both from an aesthetic as well as taste standpoint. It was Monkey 47 Gin and La Diablada Pisco-based with lashings of lemon, ube and egg whites, and it was soooooooooo ravishing and photogenic I almost felt guilty indulging in it...........but I did anyway and it made for such a palatial palette-tickling finale to my evening. So I hereby echo my friend Matt's advice: urging y'all to give The Stranger a try as well. It's a DEFINITE! All in all, Bleau Bar is anything but forgettable and uninspired when it comes to lobby bars, and while I cannot yet decide which of Fontainebleau Las Vegas' bars are my personal favorite (Nowhere is also marvelous and I have yet to check out Collins, Azul and Solo at the timing of this review)............what I can confidently boast is that Bleau Bar is a genuine destination lounge for the ritzy ambience and experience alone you won't forget. read more

Kicked off our anniversary weekend with some "drink" here. I say "drink" because in the hour we were there that was all we were served, 1 drink. I will say the drink was delicious... and it would've been nice to have more. The service was absolutely terrible. Our server was very occupied with a group of guys that were hitting on her and didn't check on us at all. We flagged here down to pay the bill, gave her cash and she disappeared for another 20min. Eventually my wife approached here as she was at the bar and asked if she could bring us our change back. She stated that paying in cash is a longer process. So my wife gave the server her debt card. We waited another 15 min and she never returned. At that point I spoke to a manager. He had a conversation with the server and the server came back to us very rudely and gave back our debt card.
