A large group of us stopped by for lunch/brunch after a surprise proposal at Gantry. It was a little after just noon and we were seated immediately indoors. Our waitress was super patient and attentive with taking all 14 of our food and drink orders and refilling our water. All of our food generally came at the same time and was still warm. I ordered the veggie paella - well-flavored and savory. Came with a small side of plantains/maduros and I'm not usually the one to go crazy for these but still yummy. My boyfriend ordered arroz con Pollo - presentation-wise it looked exactly like my paella except with chicken. He said the chicken was a little on the dry side though. My friend that sat across from me ordered the churrasco - I can tell it was cooked to her medium liking just by the way she cut into it. She also said it was delicious. Overall a good experience - a satisfying meal. Would come back to maybe try more of their drink selections (didn't get pictures of them) if I am ever in the area because they were on the stronger side. read more

Came here to celebrate Valentine's Day, prix fixe menu was 2 courses for $90 per person, totaling up to $216 if you didn't get any other drinks/food. We had been originally seated at the back of the restaurant in a tight corner table and a waitress was nice enough to put us at a comfier 2 person booth. The service was great but not worth the money overall. It felt as if they were serving you fast so you can leave quicker. The music was too loud to talk to the person in front of you, my man said he couldn't hear himself think. The bill ended up being $308 with their 20% gratuity included. We got 2 additional drinks and a side on top of the prix fixe menu. The food was good but mediocre, weak drinks, and small portions. For $308 dollars I could've made everything we ate at home for not even half of what we paid. At Blend Astoria you're paying for the ambiance but honestly that wasn't really special either. read more

I love happy hour! Came here with a friend on a Tuesday. Discounted margaritas are offered until 7pm. 2 for 1 mojitos are offered all day on Tuesdays! I had a coconut mojito which was ok but could've been colder. I prefer their margaritas. The frozen Mango Margarita was bomb and not too sweet like a typical frozen drink. The spicy orchard is a spicy margarita, HEAVY on the spice. It was too spicy for my liking. I had the fried shrimp as an appetizer. The shrimp were fried hard (not by request but it happens to be how I like it). For my meal I had Pork Chops with rice & black beans. Came here for brunch and it was a pretty good experience. When we entered, we sat down and got the menus. While they don't have an unlimited option, their brunch drinks are pretty cheap so not a super big concern. I got a gin and grapefruit juice for $6 and a bloody mary for $7. On Sundays they also had a deal on their frozen drinks all day for $7. Seems like they have some pretty good happy hour and daily specials as well. That being said, the drinks are a bit on the smaller side but still tasted pretty good (maybe a little weak). For food I had the arepas benedictos. The plate was massive. The short rib was delicious and tender. The arepas were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The salad, potatoes and peppers were also a nice touch. The service is like extremely present when you don't need anything and then goes missing when you need a drink. The staff is super friendly though and they always kept our waters filled. A great place if you want to have a drink or two with a friend aren't going crazy. That being said, the space is big and they have a nice outdoor area as well if you were to bring a big party here. They also have a nice back area that could fit a decent number of people. When we started brunch at around 12:30 it was pretty quiet and a cozy environment. However, around 1:30 they started playing music really loudly even though it was still fairly empty. It was a little aggressive. Overall, a pretty good experience. Got off to a rocky start. We were seated for over 15 minutes & no waitress came by until I spoke up to the hostess (kindly of course) that's the main reason why I'm giving the restaurant a 4. After that little hiccup, everything was fine. Our waitress was kind/hospitable. The foods AMAZING. There wasn't a dish I didn't like. I highly recommend the mushroom flatbread & crispy shrimp as appetizers, it's finger licking delicious. I ordered the citrus crusted salmon for my entree & omggg it exceeded my expectations. We normally go to blend on Vernon blvd. But we were closer to this one on a Sunday. We were seated right away four of us. This location i bigger and i like that's it open so you can really see outside and get fresh air. The menu is a bit different. We love the sagritas. We didn't t see it on the menu we had to ask for it. It's supposed to be frozen but this one was very thawed out didn't taste great. The food was delicious. We also had the maduros with cheese ( not pictured) omg to die for. Me and my husband and the 3 golpes did not disappoint. My sister had talapia she said it was delicious. And my brother in law had the steak he complained it was too small lol . I recently attended to this location with some relatives and I had an excellent experience. The food was delicious; the utensils and dishes were completely clean; our waitress kept stopping by often to make sure that everything was okay. Our dishes and drinks came pretty fast, despite the fact that the place was actually busy during our visit. They also had a staff member walking around with a camera taking pictures (if you agreed to have them taken) and if you liked any of them you could buy it for $15 per image, which I thought was pretty good. The images came with a cardboard frame with the name of the restaurant and it looked pretty nice, I ended up buying 3 pictures out of the 4 we took. As you can see on my previous comment, the Manager of the location reached out to me, both in public and privately, he asked me to inform him the next time I stopped by, as he wanted to make sure that I would have a better experience. I actually did not let him know when I went last month, and that was not on purpose, but regardless things ended up being great. The fact that the Manager took the time to read my post, and to respond to it speaks very highly of the place and its management. We made a reservation, and arrived right on time. We were seated outside, and right next to a speaker. Upon asking if we could turn the speaker down a little, it seemed like it was quieter and then loud again a while later. We had a hard time hearing each other in conversation because the music was SO loud. We felt slightly forgotten about, and would have ordered more drinks if our server came back. We saw them once - and that was to take our order...they didn't come when the food arrived (one of the other staff did), and never came to check up on us. We had to flag down another server to pay, all while ours was sitting speaking with a different table. The food was ok, I think the other location in LIC is much better, both service and food quality wise. Food was mediocre but this review is mostly for service. My friend and I arrived and there was barely any people in the restaurant. However, it took 15 minutes to get just one drink. We couldn't even get water and sat on the table for 10 minutes before a waitress noticed us... in a room full of no one but us. Our appetizer arrived first and we were halfway done when our first drinks arrived. My friend ordered a tequila soda but just received a tequila shot. We cancelled the drink order after waiting so long, with no apology from the waitress. I went here before for brunch and received the same service with a larger crowd. So at least service is consistent, regardless if it's an empty restaurant or a full one. We went across the street to a Mexican spot and received better service. Modern, clean and trendy place for most occasions- nice place to grab drinks, for dinners with friends or partner. Waitress was attentive and food was good. The drinks are made strong and are honestly better than the food. What took away from my experience was the amount of flies there.
