We stopped in here on my birthday because I love the piano and we wanted to check out the nightly piano playing. We had an AMAZING time. We got there around 830pm and stayed for a couple hours. We didn't have food. We got there when one player was finishing and another came on. Both of them sung me happy birthday which was really nice. The second one allowed me to sing along to Queen, which totally made my night. He also let me request 4 songs in a row. He definitely humored me and made my birthday evening amazing! I made sure to tip him well don't worry! :) If you are in Denver, this is a great place to stop in!!

I have been a long time patron of Charlie Brown's Bar. It's always a happening place and is known for its food and good times. The piano bar is fun to hang around and get a quick song in. Happy hour runs from 4-7 most days and is a steal with their buy one, get one deal. We went here on a Friday after happy hour and found a table. At around 8pm, there was a plethora of tables available as the happy hour crowd dispersed. Our waitress greeted us and took our order for food and drink, within a reasonable time. And then it's as if time stopped and we waited an eternity for our food. While it was busy for a Friday as one would expect, at the 40 minute mark, I asked about our food order. With no apology, I was just told that the kitchen had a lot of tickets. Our food came out about 10 minutes later and was hot and delish. Worth a little bit of a wait? Yes. Worth nearly an hour wait for a sandwich and an enchilada/relleno? Not so much. Will continue to go here, but maybe not on a Friday night.

I have been to Charlie Brown's before for HH and know this place can get packed. We went after HH to grab a bite, so there were plenty of open tables. Our server greeted us quickly, but we had to ask for a regular menu. Our party had two of us, and our orders were pretty simple. Mine was a gyro sandwich with fries. Although the live piano music and crooners, who seemed to be regulars, were entertaining, our wait for food was not. After forty minutes, we asked our server if she had an estimate. Her response was, "The kitchen has all the tickets." I get it. That is standard since that is where food tickets go; however, she never apologized or came to check in with us during our wait. When the food did arrive, just short of an hour wait, it was piping hot and good, but the lack of communication left a bad taste in my mouth.

Pound for Pound I just love eating here. There are so many food options, from steak, to Greek, to Mexican. All of it is terrific! I can always count on a perfectly poured Guinness, too.

Just a blast - yet another fantastic restaurant run by Greek folks who know how to serve great food at good prices with warm and friendly efficiency. It's a nice old room that has lots of different feeling spaces for whatever suits the mood. The food is - every bit of it - at least very tasty and some of it (the Greek custard - !) is fantastic. And I can't overstate how good the management and the service was - wow, we're looking forward to a return visit the next time we're in Capitol Hill.

Delicious! I had the chicken cordon bleu and my husband had the beef tips. Both really good! Baklava for dessert was yummy too.

    Is it decorated for Christmas?

Yes, we are festively decorated for Christmas!

When do piano playing, singing and karaoke start at CB's?

Piano starts at 6pm every night and goes until close, dinner shift 6pm-9pm and then we go to a late night shift 9pm-close. You can always come on up and join us for a song but we set different vibes for the dinner crowd and for the late crowd.

Still have free wings on fri happy hours?

    Yes

Is the circus in town? Is it the Fourth of July? New Year's Eve?…read more Sure, they serve ice cream, and they have unique flavors, and the ice cream is delicious. But you can get really good ice cream almost anywhere. Heck, go to almost any grocery store and you can get Ben and Jerry's which still makes great ice cream with unique flavors. But how many ice cream shops have a zillion people either eating ice cream or standing in line or dancing to live music? None that I have seen before. This place is an absolute scene. By the way, the dancing was swing dancing, which isn't something you just decide to do (it takes a very long time to get good). Now, there are two lines. First, there is the interior line (inside the main fence) that is really, really long but you get more flavor options. The second exterior line is just really long (as opposed to really, really long) and is outside the gate with fewer flavor options. We went for the exterior line and it moved along nicely. Sure, you can get great ice cream almost anywhere but this place is a unique place. You can enjoy the live music and dancing while you wait in the longer than average lines. The atmosphere is pure joy. I would return again and again.

Come for the vibe, but not necessarily for the bestest ice cream you'll ever have.

I picked up a cupcake and a few croissants to enjoy with my morning coffee the next day. Well...that was the plan. My husband couldn't resist and ate one of my pastries before I had the chance! Of course, I had to replace it. The cupcake was absolutely delicious; moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet. The croissants, chocolate and almond; were equally impressive and paired perfectly with my morning coffee. They were buttery, flaky, and exactly what you hope for from a good bakery. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or just something sweet, Izzio Bakery is definitely worth a visit.
