Cherry Bean has been a coffee shop staple in this part of Highlands/Sunnyside for over a decade…read more I often forget about this spot. Great dining options like Nozomi and Ramen Star across the street. This building seems to have some history to it, with the exposed brick wall behind the counter. Feels like it could've been a soda shop back in the day! The space is quaint and minimally decorated. They boast a robust menu of drinks and snacks. Got my usual coffee shop order, an Iced Americano and breakfast burrito. Coffee was good, providing a much needed caffeine jolt. The burrito was above average compared to other cafes. The pork had excellent flavor. Service was very friendly and the store was quiet for the few hours I worked on my laptop. They have lots of pastries and a sizeable drink menu with protein lattes, smoothies, teas, etc. I think I need to add this one back to the rotation. I used to frequent their Broadway location when it was open, I'm bummed it closed! Alright Cherry Bean, I'm glad to be reacquainted after a long absence!

Today I was actually welcomed with a warm smile instead of the two ladies before who had awful attitudes. I got some oatmeal, because I did not have faith in trying the burrito again. I was very happy with the oatmeal. Quick, healthier and it was yummy too! The serve yourself coffee was hot and tasted much better this time around too. All in all I had a much better experience! Thank you to the lady behind the counter this morning (5/13/26) that helped turn around my opinion of this local shop! For those who like to stick around the coffee shop- this place is clean, has good seating options both inside and outside. The large windows let in amazing morning sun and it's in the perfect area to walk around. Including a park a few blocks down.

I was delightfully surprised when I…read morehad walked in early to wait for a friend was greeted by the girl running the clothing swap. Feels like this spot may always have something jiving! My friend and I arrived with laptops and left them closed. The whole place has an Elle Woods sleepover energy: pink-adjacent, unapologetically cozy, a little magical. We enjoyed our treats, caught up and people watched. And yes these are treats. There may be alcohol at other times; we were just there for coffee and tea, and the specials leaned floral. I had something built around orange blossom that drifted between citrus and honeysuckle, delicate enough to feel like a mood rather than a flavor. Lovely, if not exactly life-changing. But that's the point: Hello Darling pulls you in with its aesthetic and keeps you with its comfy, cozy seats. Definitely equally suited to a solo work session or a two-hour gossip spiral that was supposed to be a work session! Come for the drinks, stay because you forgot you had somewhere else to be.

It's a mix of fairy garden and feminine chic had a baby! ++ Killer location right in the highlands ++ Beautiful interior and decor - sweet, cutesy with a gorgeous floral mural on the back wall ++ Tons of seating - counter, high top, cozy booth, you name it! ++ Both cocktails and coffee are offered here - making it the perfect spot for a mid-day pick me up, or drinks with the girls ++ Super friendly staff eager to whip up a carefully crafted cocktail or latte ++ Fun menu items with the best vibes! -- Parking is limited to street only, so be on the lookout -- Coffee is average, but fun to try the creative menu. (We sipped on the cherry vanilla iced latte - which left me wishing there was more flavor, and the strawberry mocha cold brew - which was rich but so sour) I'd give this spot another chance and try some other things on the ever-changing menu :)
