We've dined inside before, but yesterday we stopped in to pick up pastries and were reminded why this is one of our favorite bakeries in Denver. We grabbed an éclair, a blueberry muffin, and two ham and Swiss croissants. Every single thing was outstanding. The croissants are incredibly flaky and buttery with the perfect ratio of ham and Swiss, the blueberry muffin was moist without being overly sweet, and the éclair disappeared embarrassingly fast. We always have every intention of taking pictures... and then we take one bite and completely forget. That's probably the best compliment we can give. We loved sitting inside, which is intimate, cozy but still roomy. We are looking forward to sitting outside in their patio space. Staff are also exceptional!

So I ordered a Kouign Amman then when I arrived for pick up, what is in the display case but morning buns. The Kouign is delicious but it is also pretty darn small. It's the size of a muffin. Then when I was there, I added a big pretzel and that came to ... $18. It's VERY big but seems like maybe $10-$12 would be luxury pricing instead of $16. I'll probably come back because it's near my house and it is so tasty, but if I had to drive, this might be the death knell. I have a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth. And an empty belly.

Lines will be longer on Saturday and Sunday with a higher likelihood of them selling out of pastelitos, so make sure not to go too late if you're going on the weekend.
