    swiss rosti plate
    Amanda L.

Red cherry bomb cider was very delightful! I also tried the swiss dip and swiss rosti plate. The swiss dip was good but the horseradish on the bread was a little overwhelming. The slaw was also a bit too tangy for my personal taste. The rosti plate was good and had really nice and crispy hashbrowns. The salad was just okay and the sausage wasn't anything special. The mustard didn't really have a kick but the pickles did. Cool place to do work and hang out.

Ciders coffee and some food- awesome patio - what more could u want? Have a little parking on the side too We came on a quiet day but were able to have our dog on the patio Tasty pear and apple ciders!

Euro comfort food + killer cider Awesome spot! Order food at the grill and drinks at the bar (pro tip). One wheelchair-accessible restroom--guys, be decent and leave the lid down. Had the Thurgau Dry--like white wine but actually good. The Swiss burger was perfection. I had it with an Impossible burger. The pretzel was spot on, spätzle was rich and gooey, and the Jäger schnitzel nailed it. Even the coleslaw was fresh and tasty. Great flavors, super chill vibes. Great for a small group. I'll be back.

Absolutely loved lunch and drinks here. I had the Pear Cider and it was the perfect amount of sweet for me. Hubs had the Hot Fuzz and loved the heat. I had schnitzel and it was delicious. Hubs had the spaetzel and said it was the best he's ever had (and we do a LOT of German food). But the BIG SHOUT OUT needs to go to the gentleman who made our food. He worked with me to get a spaetzel that my noodle-loving daughter would love and she did. Thankful for his patience! Everyone here was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Favorite cider place ! It's also close to where we live so it's nice to have such a friendly and fun place with good food and drinks so close by. They also hold events here from time to time. We had the pleasure of seeing one of our favorite comedians here once ... BEN ROY! Crystal also comes here for coffee quite often which makes the coffee punch card a perfect match for her! She is a latte girl! I'm a huge cider fan so this is the perfect spot for us as a couple. We also use this as a go to spot to meet up with friends and connect here first before going out for the day or an event. Highly recommend and we will continue to keep coming back again and again and again!

Loving this place. I'm on a German kick right now... ich liebe deutsche essen!!!! Cider is very delicious! I got a flight and just put in an order for their schnitzel.. so we shall see. Service is great btw! And it is very cute!

This place is great! Delicious breakfast, smooth coffee lattes, and Cider on tap! We got a flight to try a few different flavors (my favorite is the Pearadox). Perfect spot for business or friends, or both! Cheers! We will be coming back here with our friends! Or to do some WFH

Very friendly and great smells of delicious coffee this morning! - This place is such a delight! My husband came here while I was away visiting my family in NY! He came for the ciders - he's a huge cider fan! He told me how good they were and how amazing the service was- incredibly friendly, close to where we live, just a real treat! So this morning he told me we should come check out the coffee before heading into the city! I got a mocha cappuccino to go and it was so delicious ! They also have punch cards and a rewards program and I love both of those types of things. They are planning on expanding with more food and things and I just loved the overall vibe and art and what they had to offer here. I will definitely be coming back quite often in our new neighborhood! Love this!

Really cute Swiss German cidery and coffee haus. It offered a variety of breakfast and lunch items as well as European beers and ciders. Their coffee was great and they even have a loyalty punch card that you can leave at the till library or cards. Service was super friendly and very quick.

    Flight!

My husband and I split a flight ($14) of four, with a guava slushie, purple rain, blue bear and Pineapple Express. The purple rain and slushie were our favorites - purple rain was so unique with the pea powder and the guava one tasted so good! Love trying the ciders here. The outside space was nice - it looks like they no longer have the patio shade covers but they have misters now that felt nice (almost too misty). As always, the staff was super nice and attentive as well. We've moved out of the neighborhood so always love a reason to be in the area and stop by!

The location is in a neighborhood right outside the heart of Denver, but not unreachable if you're willing to take the bus. It was definitely worth it to come out here and try a "stump" flight of ciders. The selection all sounded great, but thanks to the bartender's guidance I made some good choices. They pride themselves on having a balanced menu, and I found want I wanted, semi-sweet to sweet: -Cloud City (loved the taste of jasmine) -Guava slushee (the sweetest) -Loveland Pass (passionfruit) -Lemon Haze Again, I loved chatting with the bartender, who very kindly recommended walking down a few blocks for restaurants (tacos!!). Waldschänke appears to be the only cider place open on a Monday. Unfortunately, that's also when they don't offer their full food selection. Inside, it feels like a nice place to hang out with some bar seating and larger tables for groups.

What's their policy for outside food? I have a friend who's gluten-free so we definitely want to drink here, but there don't seem to be very many GF options

Owner here! We do have (1) gluten-free menu item, however there is a risk of cross-contamination. That being said, we are totally fine with any outside food! Bring whatever you like and enjoy our 100% gluten free ciders 🥂🍏

How many ciders are on tap?

Over a dozen. They have others' on tap but are making their own too.

Every dish we've tried has been thoughtful and full of flavor. This time the pork belly buns, chili wontons, and Taiwanese fried chicken were probably my favorites. The braised pork rice is another dish I don't think I'd ever get tired of ordering, and the crispy potatoes disappeared almost immediately. We also finished with dessert, and I'm really glad we did. The chocolate marquise was excellent, and the shaved ice was a fun way to end the meal. Three visits in, I still haven't had anything that made me think, "I wouldn't order that again." That's pretty rare.

This is a hidden gem in our neighborhood that is special…read more We've intentionally waited to patronize this restaurant while they finessed their operation. This seemed to be the opportune time to go. Thursday night at 5:30 and things were already picking up. The traffic in and out was steady the entire time we were there and when we left at 7pm there was a small wait. Service was attentive and plentiful. Probably the one thing that held them back from five stars was a lack of interest in how we were enjoying our meal. Everything came quickly and was fresh and hot but not once did our waiter ask what we thought which is sadly one demarcation between good and great. Did it turn me off, no but it's a note to consider if anyone in this operation reads my review. Bao buns were spectacular. Five stars. Perfect combination of build your own. DanDan noodles were amazing. I'd go back again today for more. Flavorful and easily sharable. Five stars Green beans were amazing. Five stars Fried chicken was cooked perfectly and covered in a crunchy coating that complimented the tender chicken. Lived the hot honey and rice that accompanied the dish. Four stars only because it was messy. Lame I know. I had a gin n tonic with a lime twist that was really nice and we also had macadamia flavored coffee over ice which was also tasty. It was $140 out the door so not a budget conscious meal but worth every penny. We saw the fried chicken and noodles delivering to many tables. The seating ranged from two to six tops and seating at the bar accommodating 10. Great full service experience and on a busy night I would make a reservation.

An unforgettable experience from beginning to end…read more I showed up right on time for my reservation but because I wanted to go run and grab pastries to bring my wife so I asked if I could be back in 30 if there would still be room for me. They kindly let me come back 30 minutes later like nothing had happened. I had a table ready but they let me sit at the bar which was something I don't get to do that often. I believe Jake and Sebastian were the main two people helping me but throughout the entire experience every member of the staff came over and had something nice or funny or honest to say which made me feel like I was family. Such a fun and dope group of people working there, felt like I got to hangout with a full rainbow of personalities that worked so well together for an all encompassing experience. Now to the food which made me feel like I was being transported down a memory lane with each bite but also as if they were memories I had in a different multiverse. I say that because nothing tasted exactly like what I grew up eating from my family in terms of "southern cuisine" if you will. But instead it tasted like it was this adjacent palate that I had been missing out on my entire life while still being down to earth and relatable. I don't know if what I just said made sense and that's how I know it was delicious because it tasted like something both old and brand new all in one. Both challenging my taste buds but also reminding me of what I have always loved. The Shrimp and Peas was such a AWESOME flavor situation that after a long hot walk through Denver was so refreshing and delicious. I don't drink alcohol anymore and so usually when I see the NA menu I always notice that restaurants try to make Non-Alcoholic drinks that taste like alcoholic drinks. I'm not knocking anyone who does this but sometimes I just want something tasty and having kool aid as an option should be illegal it's so damn good hahahaha. Like who says you can't have kool aid with food of this caliber. And I'm so happy Rougarou "agrees with me" because my taste buds definitely agreed with that drink. Catfish and Grits are like a staple dish that I would have when I would visit my larger family. I made a joke to one of the servers that I first thought I might want some syrup for the grits and how mad I was at myself after taking a bite for even daring to think that. Just an unreal level of "savory-ness" that made me literally do a little dance while eating them. The catfish was like what I kind of said earlier in that it was a new take on this dish that at first had me thinking "hey this isn't how I remember it is 'supposed' to taste". Then saying to myself after the first bite "shut the hell up" because it was something new and different that I had never tried before and I wanted to thank the chef for providing me with a WONDERFUL take on this dish that I grew up loving. The sauce underneath had me squinting with happy confusion and excitement all rolled into one. If I hadn't eaten so much I would've had the rice that came with it but I was SO full. So full that I told the bartender thanks for the dessert menu but I couldn't eat anymore which I joked to him that if my partner was there with me she would've said the same thing. Well in this case I'm glad she wasn't there because he saw right through my BS and hooked me up with the rice pudding. Now listen I've never had rice pudding before even though my family used to make it. This rice pudding had me literally BESIDE MYSELF. It took me back to eating the strawberry shortcake goodbars when I was a kid (Who are we kidding I still eat them ) but like SOOOO much more elevated. Phenomenal dessert. As I said at the beginning of this review the entire experience made me feel like I was family and in times like these we need more people that treat each other like family. I'm literally tearing up writing this review because of how welcoming this place was. Also the decoration was so cool, like a dive bar meets an upscale saloon but like an interior designer kept on elevating it more and more. Every 'decoration' inside felt so intentional, unique and rememberable. Shoutout to the whole team from top to bottom! PS the owner like an absolute G mentioned to me that his sister restaurant Yacht Club had live music that night and from the way he passionately described the band members I knew it was something I couldn't miss out on. When I walked up he ushered me in like I was VIP and this dude did not tell one lie this band was off the hook. I literally almost missed my flight because I didn't want the night to end but as all great things do it unfortunately did. That didn't stop me from recording until the second my ride to the airport pulled up from outside the bar hahahaha. I'll be back! They made my stay something I'll never forget and they left the BEST imprint in my mind of what Denver, great cities, great communities and great people can be like. One love

I had the opportunity to check this place out with a small group and I was pretty impressed. I really enjoyed the decor here from the exposed brick, plants, and Southern stuff. We opted for the Hoot and a Holler which is a multi-course omakase-type style of offering for $65/person. We had 3 appetizers, 3 mains, 3 veggie dishes, and 2 desserts. It was a good value in my opinion. We were all very full by the time we left. All the appetizers were amazing! I really liked all of them but the peaches and tomatoes were a standout to me. The mains were good but not as good as the appetizers. The trout was beautiful but the catfish was my favorite. It was beautifully cooked and the sweet and spicy sauce was delicious. The veggies fell short for me. I thought they were missing a lot of flavor. The desserts were awesome. I liked the rice pudding a lot. Overall, if you are looking to try some of everything and can't make a decision, this is the way to go. The service was good. All servers that helped us were prompt, knowledgeable, and professional. If you like caramelized onions, you have to order it. It was sweet and savory and almost tasted like an onion dessert (in the best way possible). The bread and butter was also delish. There were only two dishes I wasn't crazy about, but that was definitely more of a personal preference on my end. One was an artichoke dish where you ate the whole artichoke. I realized I just don't love that texture. The other was a tuna tartare with cheese. The combination wasn't really for me, and the tuna was a little fishier than I prefer. My friend loved both, though. I also love that the menu is seasonal, so there's always a reason to come back. Overall, this is an easy five stars, and I can't wait to come back and try more!!!

The French onion tart was really not good lol. Service was good until the entree which took a long time to arrive. The pacing of dishes was otherwise on point. It was a million decibels inside at all times, the baren walls could have used literally any method of sound dampening. Also, and this is a wild one, but the passion fruit gummies given with the check tasted like a blood clot. Immediate taste of iron. Idk of this has to do with how they are made or stored but you have got to do something about that if you want it to be a nice after dinner treat because what the hell was that flavor? I would worry it was just me but my date thought the same thing. Overall, it wasn't wallet destroyingly expensive and I would give them a second shot. My first time venturing this establishment…read more I had found out about it from a friend on instagram as my friend knew i frequent local businesses and especially black and minority owned. My first impression is that it's definitely a nice spot jetting out in the suburbs. I never would have known this type of place would exist here. Definitely a spot for locals to hang out and people like me that don't mind traveling for a great dining experience. My main meal was their French toast. They make the brioche themselves which is impressive. And was delicious. My only constructive criticism I have is that it was served as a side item and would be great if they offered it as a meal as well and not having the customer order ala carte. Also the bacon was very thin and not the thick slices I like plus you can tell the bacon was sitting under a lamp as it wasn't warm to touch. Kia was very pleasant and ensured I had everything i needed. Also their croissants look too good to eat. They Definitely look like displayable food and too pretty to eat. I ended up ordering their cinnamon roll and good old ham and cheese croissants. Both are delicious and I'm definitely coming back if not only for the croissants. Hasena was behind the bakery display helping me with the choices as well as Kia. After finally eating them I was very satisfied. Side note. Hasena and I realized we knew each other over 20 years ago. Time separated us and it was a pleasure getting reacquainted. Save the best for last. They also give a military discount

Yummmm now this is definitely the best bagel shop in Denver, hands down!! Leroy's is serving up a…read moregreat variety of bagels & cream cheeses at a great price for downtown Denver. Great coffee choices too, I loved their Novo nitro cold brew. Best part: specialty bagel sandwiches are no more than $8-9!! Sorry but no need to call your mother when Leroy's is slingin bagels twice as meaty for half the price ;) It's located at 15th & Platte with decent street parking & very walkable to west downtown. The line was out the door on Saturday & it took maybe 15 minutes to get through a line ~13 deep with custom orders/coffees. The Cuban on a jalapeño bagel was sooooo so good for $7.95! Joey loved the BLAT (blt with avocado) on everything. We got a half dozen bagels to go with 8oz cream cheeses- the rosemary bagel with tomato/basil cream cheese is fantastic, and the veggie spread could be put on anything to amp it up. Yummmm. The lady that rang us up was sweet & patient despite being so busy, and the chick that gave us our food was so upbeat, saying "omg enjoy, you made such great choices!" And whether she meant that or not, we left stoked about what we were about to dig into... and damn she was right! All in all.. I've definitely found my new bagel spot in Denver! Thank you Leroy's!!

Einstein, and definitely Call Your Mama, are far superior. The egg look like it had been cooked hours ago and was really dry and overcooked. The cheese on top had somehow also dried out which I can not really fathom how they managed that. Upgrading my review to 4 stars after they volunteered to remake the bagel. The egg and cheese was cooked better the second time.
