I used my Yelp app and searched for "inexpensive haircut" and found Kj's Men's & Women's Hairstyling in the Moiliili area on King Street. Reviews stated that haircuts were $25 and that there was a free parking lot in the back of the building. Hmmm... I called and asked if they had any openings for a trim. The price would depend on the length of hair and what type of style, but it would start at $30. (Slight price increase.) I replied: Ok... I'll be there in about ten minutes... I was able to find the free parking lot and the shop at the end of the building. It was busy with several customers and the workers were speaking Vietnamese, I think. I took a seat and after a few minutes, I sat in a chair. We decided to do a straight trim without layers and no bangs. I didn't have my hair washed - no shampoo service. It was a comb-out, a bit of misting with water, and a dry cut. It took about five minutes. I followed the stylist to the cash register and she said, "Twenty six dollars". I was happy that it was less than $30, but I wanted to see how my hair looked after I washed it at home. After I shampooed it, slept on it, and tried to style it in the morning, it looked a bit uneven to me. I got a scissors and cut about half an inch on one side and cut a strand that was sticking out. Maybe my sister could have cut my hair. LOL... I don't know how I feel about this experience. I might be still in shock...

Blendhouse is hands down the best barber shop I've been to! I've been going to Elvine since last year, and I can honestly say he gives the best haircuts I've ever had. The level of precision and attention to detail he brings is incredible. My wife even complimented my haircut, which is a big deal--she usually doesn't notice!
