Extremely disappointing customer service experience. The employee assisting us, Abbie, was rude, dismissive, and visibly annoyed when we asked questions about the menu. Rather than explaining the options, told me I could "read it on the menu." There was no greeting, no "please" or "thank you," and no effort to make customers feel welcome. Unfortunately, the manager was not available, so there was no opportunity to address the issue in the moment. This was my first time at Blend. I went to the Monroe location. As soon as I walked in I was greeted pleasantly. I had a pretty large order and they got it done quickly! I loved the salad I got it was delicious! It was recommended that I try the Dubai chocolate bowl as well (I think it was the manager I spoke to- very kind and helpful young man) I ordered a few other salads for the company I was having and they were all very satisfied with their food! We have been here on two occasions and on both the orders were lack luster. Today the salad had a pool of water at the bottom. The Nutella bowl was a drizzle on top. Not sure why it's called a Nutella bowl when the serving is micro. First time we opted for the chipotle salad with extra chicken. The salad with extra chicken and the one without extra chicken looked exactly the same. They didn't even bother to add anything. The New Windsor location has better staffing and orders were fine. Consider training the employees at the Monroe location or at the very least hire people that will do the job correctly. Absolute TRASH!! I don't know why I keep giving them another shot. First time I found 3 hairs in one salad (could have been more but I stopped eating it at that point) Today I found plastic in my smoothie. Gave them another shot because I didn't think you could mess up a smoothie... but I was wrong. Not to mention the Acai bowls are so overpriced and soo small. Its all fruit barely any acai mix underneath. Such a rip off. Workers are so slow (I gave them the benefit of the doubt in the beginning because they were new and had just opened) but 3 years later and they're still slow as molasses. This place came highly recommended for salads and smoothies. They have a huge menu with salads, smoothies, quesadillas, grain bowls, wraps and much more. I chose to create my salad because I couldn't decide. I got the romaine lettuce, black olives, carrots, spicy garlic chick peas, black beans, corn and raspberry balsamic dressing. This salad was fresh and delicious. I will definitely be going back today! They have just about every topping you can think of..and two options for salads.. a 4 topping for $6.99 or 7 toppings for $1 more. This is a great spot for vegans or for anyone who just wants a healthy salad. One last thing to mention... the salad was huge..big bowl filled to the top..and worth every penny. read more

I really wanted to support this place as I heard it opened up during Covid earlier this year. It's located in a strip mall next door to a CVS I believe and a McDonald's. When I first entered the store the staff seemed very friendly as multiple people greeted me at once and asked me if they could help. I had ordered a smoothie and a tuna melt. Unfortunately the smoothie did not meet my expectations as I usually prefer more milky or creamy base and this one tasted like watery. Maybe they used to much ice? As for the tuna melt it tasted fine and had an OK amount of tuna. However I felt like the prices were a little bit too high, especially for the quality and the location. I heard that there is another location in New Windsor. Perhaps I will also check out that location soon. read more

We went here for a quick smoothie and we were very disappointed with the quality of the product. Not to mention, the cutting boards at this store was not hygienically clean and COVID friendly. I am reviewing as a food delivery service driver and a customer. The service is lacking. Most everyone here is not friendly with the exception of the Hispanic manager who is the only one in that building actually seeming like he cares about customers and his job. This guy could probably do a better job running the place by himself. My biggest problem with picking up from this location is their food pickup is pretty difficult. Every restaurant has a spot to either pick up the to-go bag right away or to go right to the counter and let them know you're there for your pre-made order.. I find that here - you have to wait in line with all the customers who have not yet ordered. Which takes forever at times and it diminishes my ratings with my company, making it possible to get deactivated and not have a job. They also do not put plastic forks or spoons, napkins or straws in the bag for to-go orders. You have to either do it yourself or remind them that to-go orders need proper bagging. That needs to change if they continue to do a delivery system, people are looking for quick deliveries! My review based on eating here. Well the tuna is watery and the smoothie was mediocre. My sister ordered a vegetarian panini - it came on a regular roll and had one single piece of slimy cheese on it with a couple of veggies. Not worth the cost. My husband did a juice package and he was happy with the juices. If it wasn't for that one insanely helpful and pleasant man, my review would be one star. read more

I received maybe a quarter of an orange with some of the peel still on most pieces which there were 5 of. They charge $10 for a small yogurt bowl, skimp on the ingredients and leave the peel on. Didn't realize this place existed until, as an UberEats delivery driver, I was called there to make a delivery -- but was pleased that I did. Tasty smoothie, and you can see all the fresh ingredients. I've returned a few times. So why a lower rating? 1. Charging 3% extra for using a credit card is just WRONG. Especially when you're a business selling a product aimed at modern, younger customers who are much less likely to ever carry cash. 2. Speed of service -- they have so many employees, but no clear assignments of duties, so during at least one of my visits, the order just sat in the printer because everyone was doing side work and no one was assigned to work that section of the prep area. 3. Pricing for online ordering was even higher than the credit card prices. Again, are you trying to take advantage of people during the pandemic? My smoothie was about $1.50 higher on DoorDash than if I walked in -- a 21% increase! I don't eat here often but every time I have there's always something going wrong. About a year ago I did a mobile order, it said the time it would be ready was 20-30 mins. I got there right around the 30 min mark, walked in and asked for my order. They had no idea what I was talking about at first, double checked the computer and saw it there. They never even made the food so I had to stand there and wait 15 mins until it was done. They then tried to tell me I never paid when I prepaid over the phone. This was another 5 mins of my time wasted proving to them that I did in fact pay over the phone. This ordeal made me so late to where I was going. I ordered again from here today thinking maybe they got better, but sadly I was wrong. I paid extra for bacon and for the chicken to be breaded instead of grilled. Neither of those things were correct. They didn't put bacon in the wrap nor did they bread the chicken. The croutons were so stale and soggy. If you're going to make people pay extra for certain things you should actually include them in the order? Also for a place that advertises itself as "fresh" and "healthy" your croutons shouldn't be soggy and old. Just when you think it simply cannot get worse, we both had stomachaches after eating the wraps. I really have to say that the Monroe blend is awful. The one in new Windsor is ALWAYS good and worth driving out of the way for. Never again will I get blend from Monroe. The employees clearly do not pay attention to what the customers order and have the audacity to charge $14 for a wrap that's wrong and will make you sick. read more

I've only had an Açaí bowl from here once before and was out with my boyfriend running errands when we decided to order from here for lunch. We went from getting an Açaí bowl to exploring their menu to deciding on something different. I ordered the Tuscan Avocado Toast and my BF had the Tuna melt on a tortilla. So the tuna melt was a cold sandwich with cold shredded cheese......hmmm could their version of a tuna melt be different from the rest of the world?? Before I even started eating my "toast" I called about the tuna "melt". The response I was given was that they heat it up in the panini machine and any longer than a minute it will burn. Well I can tell you the sandwich didn't even get to look at the panini appliance let alone sit in it. Anyway I was offered a free wrap.....not what my goal was but okay. Then I started eating my Avocado "toast". Notice the quotation around toast? It was a thick slab of un toasted bread. A tablespoon maybe of chicken on it and just plain tasteless. I understand the difficulties food establishments are having right now so I even included a 15% tip for me to pick it up. This is the 2nd and last time I will be ordering here.....very disappointing since we needed something like this in the area. Came from NJ, visiting a special someone. Came across blend and there's nothing really like this by me in NJ. The staff was super attentive, on point, friendly and honestly made me feel at home. Definitely coming here when coming from New Jersey. And they were super friendly for not just me but to everyone who went into the store. I call 2 hours ahead for pick ups because I only have a certain amount of time allotted for my lunch break while I'm working, but Blend rarely makes it on time and forces me spend way more time waiting for my order THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE ALREADY AND MADE THE RIGHT WAY.
