The service was fairly good, comparable, yet definitely not bad, the lady was welcoming, she did her job & did it well. The food was alright, for the price I'm not sure it was worth it. I ordered the Penne A La Vodka, I also came in with my mom, I don't recall what she got, however we both enjoyed our food. The restaurants on this block do have a reputation for being pricier, however for the quality of the food, service, and experience, I can't complain. I must say, compared to other local American restaurants & taverns right in town, such as G's, Greenview Tavern definitely strides ahead in the food & service category. Before they bring out your appetizer, they bring out a complimentary small starter - today it was a small radish salad and while I like radishes, my husband isn't normally a fan. Well, these may have changed his mind - and I think I LOVE radishes now!! It was incredible. For my appetizer, I chose the "famous Grange" egg rolls - and they are famous for a reason! They were easily the best egg rolls I've ever had. My husband had the Caesar salad and it was also delicious. We shared both easily - and had an egg roll to bring home for our son, too! For entrees we both selected the hanger steak - also incredible. Delicious and tender and both cooked perfectly - his rare and mine medium. Perfection. A couple walks in and asked if we put our names on a waitlist, I just told them there was no wait list just a line. Couple went to the front and was seated right away at a table for 4. Another group of 3 girls came in and thankfully they told the host that we were waiting before them. I went up and told her, that couple was seated before us, maybe you should come up with a better system like taking down names, she snapped "I AM SEATING, CLEANING TABLES... I DIDNT HAVE ENOUGH MENUS FIR YOUR PARTY, FOLLOW ME!" So I thought maybe I was wrong in my approach but then that couple who were now a party of 4 and a table seated after us also a party of 4 were served their food and finished before we were even served. We waited over an hour for eggs and pancakes- simple breakfast. Food was cold like it had been sitting there. My daughter had to get to work by 11 (we got there at 9:15 am) so I asked one of the girls cleaning a table if we could get the check, she said she would tell our waitress... another 10 min wait.
