We all demonstrated our skills with Ms.Thomas observation and assistance. We went through adults and infants, also instructions for the AED machine. So yes she is very hands on and helpful. They had sent me a remainder email that it was time to renew my BLS card. I went this morning. They have weekly classes Tuesday-Saturday at 9am. And it's $40 to renew before the end of the month it's due. The class is quick, and straight to the point. Everyone has their own separate mannequins to practice on, Adults and Peds. Depending on how big the class is you might have to share. I like how the mannequins can alert you if you're doing your compressions correctly. The instructor is also guiding you to make sure you are doing it the right way. You go through the course, videos and skills check off. You take the test at the end and get your card emailed to you on the same day. I'll be back in another two years!

While most of it is done online in the comfort of your home, it was the warm welcome and easy feeling Brian gives you when you arrive for the "hands-on" portion of the training. I gotta tell you, right from the start, Brian and I hit it off great. We are both first responders, but that didn't matter. He was very approachable and easy to work with. He walked me through the course and the steps to take. I knocked it out and was on my way in less than 20 min. I would recommend this class and all of its course work to anyone looking to get involved in their community with C.E.R.T., anyone looking for a REAl merit badge with any scouts, or even to someone who wants to start their career in Fire & EMS.
