This was our second time using Bleu Oak Charcuterie for a party at our house, and once again, they did not disappoint at all! It is such a show piece, and all the guests (mostly a bunch of wedding vendors who see pretty food all the time!) raved about the charcuterie, sandwiches, and pasta salad. Everyone commented on how fun it was, and how beautiful a "centerpiece" the grazing station was in our kitchen. Jenn and Fraser are so easy to work with, communicate with, and be around - very low maintenance as far as vendors go, and they feel like friends in your home. Jenn is seriously the best! She is very responsive, punctual, and professional. I have used Bleu Oak for over 5 years for holidays, birthdays, staff appreciation, teacher appreciation and other special occasions...really any excuse to get a charcuterie board. While the quality of the food and display was excellent we found Jen to be unpleasant to work with. While we did have to pivot on our time schedule (due to reasons out of control) she was curt and described as 'surly' by my employees who continually apologized for the inconvenience. Certainly companies like this are used to unexpected delays and do the best they can to accommodate the client with that in my mind, but they should do so with grace and a 'no problem' attitude. This was never the case. Even when I asked Jen a simple question like: 'what time will you be there to set up?' Instead just saying '3 pm' and she said 'it's on your invoice.' I obviously missed that and apologized for bothering her. She said 'no problem' but it clearly was. This happened several times. Again, the quality was excellent but I would not recommend her due to her unpleasant attitude which was noticed by me and my staff. read more

Jen saved my party! My daughter's birthday was last weekend. First, we did not plan a party in the first place, but she decided to invite her preschool friends, so we had no choice but to put together something last minute. On the day of the party, I contacted several places, and I was ready just to put together a lousy board that would probably look unappetizing. Although her website says they're open, it's no brainer to contact them first for the same day order because making a board takes time and usually good places are booked in advance. I'm so sorry I couldn't give zero stars. I have no idea if the charcuterie is any good. I do know that they have lousy customer service, they have poor business skills, they don't need your business and they certainly treat you that way. I placed a small, last minute order on their website. I would have ordered sooner but I'd never heard of them before. Their website says they're open 7 days a week, and the order page let me pick the date, no problem. It said they would email me with the bill and availability. I never got a response. I sent a separate email, per their phone instructions. Still no response. I finally left a voicemail, and this is what I got back, via text: Hello It's jenn with Bleu oak We are closed until tomorrow as we were out of town for a family wedding. If you placed an order for today it will not be fulfilled as we are not open until tomorrow Sorry for any inconvenience Nowhere on their website or their order page did it say they would be closed, and there was no response to my order. This was for a celebration for 3 years of being cancer free, and their inconsiderate treatment really put a damper on things. If I had been notified right away, or if this had been stated on their website, I would have made other arrangements. I replied to her text that she should have put that on her website. Her response? An eyeroll emoji. That's how much her customers and potential customers mean to her. An eyeroll emoji. I would certainly never trust her with any future events. read more
