We contacted Blind Appeal on the way home from closing on our house. They sent a person out (in the snow!) two days later. She showed us several options and gave us a price that included installation and warranty. Much to my surprise, the price was less than at a big box store for the same blinds. A few weeks later, I got the call to have the blinds installed. The company was SO helpful in scheduling this as we were not yet living in the house, and held the blinds for a few days until we could get there. The installer was clean, fast, efficient, and PRECISE in installing the blinds. We purchased black-out blinds for one room, and they are AMAZING. The other rooms have light filtering blinds that make the room look open and alive. We've had Blind Appeal install major window coverings twice (2016 and 2021), and thought it time to comment. First install was custom shutters for large and oddly-shaped windows and french doors; second was a variety of shades (darkenin;, light-filtering; cellular; top-down/bottom-up; etc.) for five rooms. Product: In both cases, the products are of high quality, and operate just as we had wanted. Also Mike and Thom made a point of telling us specifics about how the products worked, and stressed that if any issues or questions came up, we should call. It felt like they meant it. Installation: was amazing--Thom and Mike did the most recent, with something like 15 windows done in around two hours (including taking down and hauling away the old stuff!). Friendly, courteous, professional (even removed shoes before we had a chance to ask), and they left NOTHING behind. They even brought their own trash can! Consultation: Nichole was our rep for the recent order, and was fantastic to work with. Easy-going friendly manner, accommodating, but also efficient and (important for us!) able to offer excellent advice based on solid experience. (She really seems to like what she does, like her product, and like who she works for.) We actually decided to add another room after our first meeting, and she was able to come back, do all the measurements, and get it added to our order. Quoted price was right on, and--pleasantly surprising in today's Covid-affected supply-chain--scheduling/timing estimates were spot-on (they were actually a week early, BUT YMMV). Nichole was also very responsive to all communications ("Ack! We would like to add another room!" "Eek, can you come back?" "Ooops, it's the weekend...."). Scheduling: Between Melanie at Costco, Frank (who worked around our schedule for install appt) and Nichole, everything was amazingly smooth. Each appointment happened exactly when they said it would, product was available right on time, installation duration was just as estimated. Costco: We made initial contact through Costco, and just wanted to say that Melanie was great to work with. We had a couple preliminary product questions as well as scheduling complications, and she ably and kindly handled all. Frankly, we weren't even shopping for coverings that day, but one quick question led to the completion of a long-contemplated project!! *Note: The (2016) custom shutter experience was just as good; just can't remember the details of it! read more

Especially the guys who came out to measure and install a large blind for our outdoor patio (Josh/Brian--on both occasions). We purchased plantation shutters and an electric shade for our large picture window in 2017 and had not experienced any issues until this last week of December 2021. Our electric shade would not go down. It is a wide and long travel shade that was pelted by the weather at Christmas. We called to request a service call to repair the system. They came out the next day, repaired the problem, and refused to charge for the service call. They came out to my newly constructed house to put up temporary blinds since we had no window coverings. When we finally moved in...they already had the measurements for all of our windows. I met with Frank Arroues on February 12, 2014. The consultation was quick and painless. I was told the quote would be e-mailed that afternoon. By Sunday, February 16, 2014, I still had not received the quote. Considering it was a holiday weekend, I sent an e-mail via the website inquiring when I could expect the quote.
